Hotel is small and in an odd position, enclosed courtyard off a side street, but we found it.

No air-con, though vents are fitted, and we didn't need it in Dec, but what we got was a continual whirring sound all day and all night. At times quieter than others, but constant.

Room keycard unit was installed, but we had a good old fashioned key. Seemed a bit odd.

Shower enclosure was grubby when you looked close, it needed a deep clean. Two lots of shampoo in wall mounted bottles, no shower gel. Behind the TV was dust bowl central.

Room was serviced, but cups weren't cleaned/replaced and left dirty from that morning.

I think we overpaid a bit at €165 per night, but location is good, and if you're gluten free, there's an amazing bakery 100 steps away and we went half a dozen times; it was a Godsend.

Great place to stay near the Campo market. Entrance is in a gated parking area so you have to walk through parking gate. It is so well located that becomes an advantage as it is quieter than most streets in area. Hotel room was on European scale so a little smaller but bathroom was very upscale with bidet and walk in shower.

The hotel is in the historic center, but access is a little strange because it's inside a parking garage. For Rome and the prices they charge, it's fine and close to everything on foot. The air conditioning in our room was portable with a kind of system to remove condensation. Fine. The other thing, which is more complex, is an unpleasant smell that comes up through the bathroom pipes. They need to find a way to fix that. Other than that, everything else was very good, including the reception staff.

Good staff, excellent service, feels safe and secure. We had a quick check in process, were shown to our room, and shown how to utilize our spot cooler. Not sure if the central air conditioning broke but was not expecting a spot cooler as the humidity still leaked into the room. Granted spot cooler is better than nothing it’s just not what we expected. Room was clean but bathroom would get very hot. Staff called us a cab for the next morning to get back to FCO airport. Overall good stay.

The hotel is situated in a convenient part of Rome, but once inside the gates, the property feels quite secluded. While the front desk staff was polite, they were unable to provide any useful information about the city. I had booked a superior room, while others in my group reserved standard rooms; however, the accommodations turned out to be virtually identical.
A major concern was the air conditioning unit, which was placed in a large box directly in the room. It produced constant noise and created poor air quality an issue that was particularly problematic for individuals with asthma or other respiratory conditions. This was not disclosed in the hotel’s listing. Additionally, the room had an unpleasant odor, and several fixtures were either broken or poorly maintained.
When we requested a refund due to these health and comfort issues, the process was slow and not treated with urgency, costing us over an hour to resolve. Which I had to contact Expedia where I reserved the rooms from for a refund. (They did not refund for the first night) Ultimately, we had to change hotels.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this hotel.

The location is conscientious—a bit tricky to access at first, but once you’re acclimated, it’s actually quite convenient. That said, the biggest downside was the air conditioning. The hotel only offered portable AC units, which were completely inadequate during our stay—especially considering we were there during one of the hottest periods.

The AC situation made the room miserably hot, and unlike other hotels we stayed at in Italy, this one did not have a proper cooling system. To make things worse, the cleaning staff would shut off the AC while we were out, so it would take 6+ hours to get the room remotely comfortable again.

Also worth noting: since the AC was portable, we had to keep a window open, which somewhat defeated the purpose of trying to cool the room in the first place.

Overall, not a terrible stay, but the lack of functional air conditioning significantly impacted our comfort. This place could be great with a better climate control system.

Some staff are helpful and friendly, some not so much. We would 100% not have booked this hotel if it was disclosed that their AC was broken. Also to keep telling us that its on and working was ridiculous. We did not get a single good night's sleep in this hotel. Also to not have control of your own room temp in your room is insane, having to constantly call down to the front desk to turn the fan on or AC system is annoying and inconvenient. Also quite loud in the room, can clearly hear other guests in their rooms.

We stayed at this hotel for seven days as part of our three week honeymoon. The hotel was situated in a secure parking area which is difficult to find if you’re not taking a cab or using Google Maps, but also makes it a safe and quiet area.

The staff were friendly, helpful and multilingual and there was front desk staff 24-7

The location is a short walk to Trastevere with dozens of beautiful little shops and restaurants, and also a short walk to both the Campo de Fiori and the Piazza Navona. There is also a Speed Queen laundromat right around the corner which we used twice.

The room we had a was a decent size for Europe. The bathroom was small but well equipped. The rooms are definitely not soundproof as we could hear doors opening and closing and noise from other rooms.

Also the door handle was completely broken and hanging by a thread, necessitating brute force to open the doors. It was never fixed. There was a mini fridge but it was not useable because it was stocked with food and drink you had to pay for.

We mentioned to hotel staff that we were staying there on our honeymoon but we didn’t receive anything special as a result which was a bit of a disappointment.

On the whole the hotel was nice and well situated and we had a pleasant experience

Property was initially a little bit hard to find, as it's located inside a courtyard, but once you are in, everything is good. The staff are super kind and helpful. We arrived many hours before check in and they kept our luggage and brought everything in our room once it was ready. The room was super clean, mattress and pillows are super soft and comfortable. The location of this hotel is honestly amazing, it was super easy for us to walk the city. Of course we were a bit short when we left, and we had big luggages so it was more convenient to go to the Termini by taxi (mostly because almost all roads and sidewalks are made of square stones, otherwise it would have been walkable) the kind woman at the front desk called it for us. We had an amazing time in Rome and in this hotel which is very close to so many incredibly good restaurants. The price for 5 nights was very good. The only downside was the noise, but it's not directly related to the hotel but rather because there are imbeciles everywhere on this planet. First night we had r3t4rds who came in the middle of the night letting their f-ing baby scream for hours as if it had some batteries and they were waiting for them to finally run out; next night we had people in the apartment above us who partied until 3am; so we went and bought ear plugs the next day and we were again able to sleep the next night. So overall this hotel is highly recommendable. We were a bit unlucky with noise but again, this isn't the hotel's fault.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the experience my spouse and I had during our recent stay at MZ HOTEL. We arrived at your establishment on [7-18-24] with high hopes for a pleasant and comfortable stay. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory.

Upon our arrival, we were dismayed to discover that the air conditioning in our room was not functioning. We were shocked that no one had bothered to inform us of this issue earlier, especially considering that we had left our bags and gone out to explore the city. When we returned to the hotel late at night, we were informed that the air conditioning could not be fixed immediately and that we would have to be relocated to another hotel for the night.

To make matters worse, no transportation was provided to the alternative accommodation, forcing us to walk late at night to the other hotel. The following day, we were informed that the air conditioning was still not working and that we would be refunded for the one night we had left. I provided all my bank information for the refund but have yet to receive any reimbursement for the inconvenience and additional expenses we incurred.

This entire experience has been a huge inconvenience and disappointment. Not only did we have to endure a night without proper accommodation, but we also had to bear the financial burden of finding alternative lodging out of pocket.

Location was very good, easy to walk everywhere. The noise proofing of the hotel is very poor. You can hear footsteps of people walking in the corridors or the doors in the surrounding rooms opening and closing. We were woken up a lot from noise, the cleaners simply opening plastic bags with fresh clean sheets outside in the hall sounded like there was someone in the room. Front staff were very friendly and the room was clean.

I have traveled for five months now and this Has to be the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I cannot control the heat in the room it has to be controlled from the reception. The problem is is there’s no one there in the reception, the problem is is, there is no one in reception, and the reason why is because the person that manages the reception also does housekeeping the reception breakfast, etc. it started with me not being able to get access to the hotel because it’s also is also shared with local residences in the area and you need get through security just to gain access needless to say it was pouring with rain I had just arrived and could not get in. I am currently looking for another hotel to stay at as this is unacceptable.

Do not stay here. Gave the hotel a chance to give us a refund but they refused. So here I am. Location is great since it is right across the river from trastevere and easily 10 minutes to the sites like the pantheon and colliseum on the east side of the river. The bad? Dust that makes my sinus clog, black mold in the wallpaper, sounds of water running in the pipes all night, refrigerator not working, walls that are not soundproof.

This hotel was relatively inexpensive, and what I'd describe it as functional as a place to stay for a week in Rome. It was clean, and well positioned as place to walk to most of the common tourist sites, such as the Vatican, the Pantheon, Colloseum and Trevi Fountain! It would not win any prizes for its external appearance, looking a bit like a shop front, but the reception staff were most helpful on arrival, providing us with a map, and took time to indicate the hotel location and drawing around the location of key tourist features! The restaurant in the basement serves a reasonable breakfast, sufficient to set you up for the day! But does not serve mid-day or evening meals! You have to get these from local shops or restaurants. If you walk south over the river using the pedestrian bridge,Pont Sisto, it takes you to the main restaurant district, where you can buy a multitude of food types, which was busy, but enjoyable! When we arrived the hotel entrance was located in a quadrangle of apartments with cars parked within. It is in a quiet location, but within easy reach of the local shops and attractions on foot! If you want the Ritz, it's not the place for you, but if you want relatively low cost good quality accommodation within easy reach of Rome's attractions, I'd suggest the MZ Hotel!

Came back from sightseeing one day to find our bed made horribly-literally thrown together. Construction noise in same building began at 8 am so having mid day rest was impossible. No frills hotel but perfect for what we needed, which was a place to shower and sleep. The staff was so nice! Close to all the sights, great area with tons of restaurants around. Shower was a bit small/kept leaking but just put a few towels on the floor and everything was good!

The hotel is at a good spot in the city, very easy to get to the attractions by foot. The room was very sparse, didn’t really have almost anything except the basics, the shower door wouldn’t close and it splattered on the floor each time we showered, nothing critical but it felt like no one had a second thought about the guests experience. Also, we took a taxi to the hotel and that’s the only way we found where the hotel is. I think we wouldn’t get there otherwise.

Property was convenient to restaurants and nightlife in Trastevere and clean. However room was tiny as was the shower and our door handle was hanging off from the inside and unusable. We identified it right away and they did not fix for the duration of our stay.

Its in a WEIRD location- hard to find- NOT on a main road- its inside a compound. Next to a public parking. Front of the main entrance is sooo weird- it has a huge cement flower pot with weeds inside. The staff are the BEST ( Federico/ John/Joy/Mark). The rooms are very clean and looks like it has just been renovated. BUT you can actually hear everything from other rooms and even the lobby
