We are very pleased withe resort, breakfast buffet was exceptional.
The buggy system used for transpirt on the island was fun and very reliable.
Trip from island to the mainland via the cable car gave fantastic views and was very enjoyable.

You know when you're looking at photos of a place and expecting the actual experience to be 20% less impressive as the images? This place is SOOOOO much better IRL! It's THE best place I've ever holidayed at. We had 8 nights of absolute joy. The room is perfect. The house keeping is perfect. The beach view was perfect. The breakfast buffet is mind blowing. The transport to & from the resort was fun & like clockwork. The entire surrounding facilities are unexpected - but added to the amazement of the entire island. Plus, the golf course backing up to the resort is the best golfing experience I've had. Recommend wholeheartedly.

This hotel is next level, the pictures are correct. Great place to stay. Food is unbelievable. Staff are great, although on an occassion something was lost in translation. I can’t recommend this highly enough. A true gem.

Our 2 week villa stay was excellent. We are a family of four and there was a lot of activities and amenities for 2 toddlers. The hotel is clean however most of the guests are not. It could be the culture, but buffet and dining could be messy and chaotic at times - not the hotel and staff fault. Another thing to comment is the smell of the sheets, bedding and pillows. I've had plenty experience staying at hotels and airbnb but they had never smelled like laundry not dried properly or just a general sour smell that would cling on the clothes. I have seen them change the sheets so we know its new but there is still a smell. It did not hinder in our enjoyment but if you are pretty particular or sensitive to smell then its an issue specific to our villa. Finally, the last comment that took one star out of staff was the one lifeguard handing the towels. I have never been lectured in any of the resorts I have stayed at for requesting 2 towels. He said he can only give me one because if he gives me more the other guests will run out. We are a family of 4. There were plenty of towels and the pool area is not even busy. I was so perplexed about the interaction and its not even worth the argument as I walked away pissed. I can understand the control about how much towels to give but as long as its reasonable they shouldnt act like the towel police. Please retrain your staff

We will come back because this property is worth it. We were able to relax and refresh from our busy lives

Ive traveled the world and seriously hotel is off the charts , Gym OMG , Pool activities staff , efficiently, friendly staff and the Food Buffett and breakfast out of this world great prices, the gardens yep ill say no more , check this place out ..Hon Tre Island vietnam wow. Hotel Manager Staris 5 stars .

However, it does not provide a microwave. You have to go all the way to the lobby to get services.
It's like hell for people who don't stay in main building
Families with children may need a microwave
They need to improve on that

Great value. From the check-in you feel welcomed, very smooth and luggage is delivered to your suite from the cable car station. Buffet is sumptuous and delicious. Both pool and sauna feel quintessential. Would come back soon.

Amazing Hotel with fantastic views

Wow ! What an amazing hotel and location! Has a 3 pools all great , 1 one Olympic size swimming over looking an incredible beach. The staff are great and very friendly and knowledgeable. Very clean and lovey rooms, we paid abut extra to get an ocean view, which didn’t disappoint. 10/10.

The villa we stay at was nice for a family of 10. The villa was only 3 room so they charged us 1 adult and 2 children extra for the breakfast and dinner buffet for a total of over $500 US dollars for a 5 night stay. It wasn't stated in the booking, only after we had booked did they send us an email saying we had to pay for the \"extra\" guest.

Needless to say, I forked out the money since we had already bought tickets to Nha Trang and planned around staying there.

The villa was clean and in a decent location walking distance to the restaurants and the main building.

The restaurant and buffet is where this place failed miserably. For a 5-star hotel, it seemed more like a 1 star hotel in terms of food service. Getting a table for breakfast and dinner was like a mad dash to run to a free table. Half the time we had to wait or were crammed into a small table. That wasn't the only bad part. The food was average at best but getting it was a mad scramble just to get any food that was put out. There was only 1 person at the noodle stations so people was just cramming in just to get their orders in and no discernable line with people just walking in front and ordering.

Breakfast seemed to be the worst, when they ran out of tables they carted people to another restaurant only to have no tables left there either. Not enough cooks or food so people were left fighting for scraps.

There is no way this place is 5 star, the service was okay but the restaurants were bad.

Staffs are friendly and helpful. Rooms come with many complimentary amenities and services. Breakfasts were fantastic! There is no AC and smart TV however. It’s a cool area so a fan was enough. There were many black ants in our room but luckily there was none on our bed. The area is quite hard for cars to move in and out.

I don’t like the way the hotel handle luggage:

1) I was waiting for the shuttle bus in the heat on the afternoon 2 May at the cable car station. In more than 20 minutes there were 5 shuttle bus went by but not stop to pick up passengers. They were prioritizing picking up luggages at the ferry terminal. Are you in the hospitality business or hauling business?

2) when checking out with my luggage rather than ship them ahead. There were no support at the boat terminal on both sides. I am 60 yrs old and had to self serve 50 kilos not having access to a luggage cart. Not pleasant.

Dining room services with screaming children and parents is not pleasant. You have several dining areas, why cant you have one for adult only?

I planned a trip from the US to Vietnam to propose to my gf. When we got there my mom got pulled aside by a staff member and scammed her out of over $100. I paid for a room and paid the extra fee for the extra person already but they told her she needed to pay it. When I found out I went to go talk to the front desk and they said they can’t do anything about it and I needed to talk to Expedia. I chatted with Expedia and they said they talked to the front desk and I needed to go back there and talk to them. I went there and they said they can’t refund me but they’ll give me a credit. We didn’t want to waste it so I just used it for VinWonder, which was not part of our plan, and it was boring and dead so we left after only 2 hours. It was also a waste of a short time we had there.

The rooms are very spacious, but seem to waste a lot of space. For example, the kitchen looks nice, but isn't really functional. The property is very clean and well kept. The check in process took a very long time for us and we didn't receive information on amenities. The manager did get involved and try to do everything he could to make things right for us.

Very clean , luxurious and opulent . Gym facilities were all brand new and well maintained. We would have liked the option to refill filtered water instead of being given new bottled water daily and contributing to unnecessary plastic use.

Buffet breakfast and dinners were awesome . Very tasty and with a lot of variety to cater for all. Would have loved to have more dining options in the resort .

Private beach and Breakfast are excellent! Very beautiful resort gardens too. But the logistics to get to the villa are cumbersome. As a result our luggage arrived hours after after we checked in. Staff tries to be helpful but everyone’s English is really limited. It was difficult to communicate anything.

Sehr schöne Anlage, tolles Frühstück, sehr nettes und kompetentes Personal. Das Hotel ist etwas älter und vor allem die Zimmer bräuchten eine Auffrischung. Die Kissen rochen sehr schlecht und mussten ausgetauscht werden. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit, würden aber nicht mehr buchen, dieses Marriott Resort entspricht nicht dem Standard den wir sonst von dieser Kette gewohnt sind.
