This gorgeous resort exceeded my expectations in every way. Our week was luxurious, peaceful, and beautiful.
All of the staff were so kind and attentive. We were assigned our own trip ambassador whom we saw in person multiple times but also was very responsive through a WhatsApp group she set up. Rafaela helped us schedule restaurant reservations and fitness classes, arrange transportation, and most helpfully of all was there when I needed a doctor and didn’t know what to do. I was so grateful to be able to visit the doctor they have onsite 24/7 and even walked out with the prescription I needed in hand.
I have so many examples of ways the staff went above and beyond I wish I had space to name them all.
The grounds were immaculately landscaped, the interiors were styled to perfection, and the pool and beach were so picturesque. I was constantly marveling at how much more beautiful it was in person than even the photos could show.
Our villa was visited by housekeeping twice daily and kept looking flawless. They even swept our patio and skimmed the plunge pool. I should also note they brought in an entire extra bed without my asking so all three of my children could have their own bed.
The food exceeded my expectations. The kids were thrilled with 24/7 room service. The restaurants were all wonderful fine dining experiences. Everything was plated like works of art. The breakfast buffet was the most elaborate I have ever experienced.

Cayo Levatado was AMAZING, from too to bottom. Tranquil, clean, beautiful ocean and rooms, friendly/helpful staff and LOTS of offerings. My only request would be to add a daily (maybe even two) yoga class.
Nothing else could even be improved on though - perfect just as you are Cayo!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary and we had an amazing experience. The customer service was truly outstanding—every staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. The atmosphere is peaceful and perfectly designed for a relaxing getaway. From our balcony, we enjoyed a stunning ocean view and even had the unforgettable experience of watching whales in the distance. I cannot speak highly enough for this resort. Everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond and it almost seemed as if they couldn’t help us enough. One of the first statements made to us was “you are home.”
The resort is gorgeous and immaculate. Our room was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious and fresh, every meal, every time. The pools and beach were clean with plenty of amenities. The staff was nothing short of stellar.
We will absolutely be returning to Cayo Levantado Resort in the future. Total perfection from start to finish.

Everything from experiences to rides to different parts of the island are set up by a wonderful ambassador and they are so quick. The resort is beautiful and so many wellness options. My daughter and I had a perfect getaway at Cayo Levantado -- from the beautiful room, to the gorgeous facilities, and the impeccable service, it was just what we were looking for! While waiting for our boat to CLR, we loved chatting with Mike Anderson and getting some help with our Spanish! We are kicking ourselves for not taking more advantage of the many classes and activities offered during our time, but the beautiful beach and pools were just so inviting we had trouble dragging ourselves away. Julio took excellent care of all of our food and drink needs at the beach/pool, and Mariela was always available to answer any questions we had. We will no doubt be back soon!

Without a doubt is a beautiful resort. The service is horrible! For the money they charge a lot more is expected. The majority of the staff expecting a tip and will treat you indifferent if you don’t tip them. No options for food, you basically have to eat what they have or go hungry. It was my birthday and I checked out before my time. No entertainment and no options provided. You either go with their all inclusive itinerary which doesn’t include much or pay more out of pocket. Very bad experience!

The property is great and the staff is good but the only thing is that they staff makes you feel pressured into everything they do you must tip them and if you do tip them if they feel is not enough then the service starts to change and it’s not the same as when you arrive at the property. Also towards the end of the stay the ambassador accompanied other guest but since they didn’t feel we tip them right no one came to use and walked us towards the ferry.

We stayed in early March for 6 days and loved every day. Frankly, everything was great. We didn't get to try the spa or excursions because we had a 15mo old baby with us, which takes a lot of time, but just the pools and the beach were wonderful. The food was amazing. Each restaurant had fantastic food. Even the breakfast buffet was phenomenal.
For drawbacks, getting to the property is a major drag. It's a 3hr ride by car from Santo Domingo. Not much they can do about that, I guess.
What they can improve on are two things: quality of coffee (didn't enjoy that at all) and the staff needs to get a bit better on their English. Some are better than others, but most of the time, communication was challenging. You can also communicate with your \"ambassador\" via WhatsApp and even that was not all smooth sailing, so yeah, staff's English needs to improve. But don't let this hold you back, even with what it is now, it's been a wonderful stay.

I have traveled quite a bit in my life but never to do an all inclusive. That said I have been to a lot of high end hotels and for the cost/value was one of the best experiences I have ever had. From the caring staff to the stunning beach to the fine food and drink to the amenities/classes you will not be disappointed. Four nights is plenty but could easily enjoy this place for a week.Truly fantastic. The only challenge (not hotel issue) is that for us coming from NYC we have drive 2.5 hours across DR (flew into Santo Domingo) but certain cities do fly direct to Samana. Go here its FABULOUS!

The level of attention we received far exceeded expectations—there were so many staff members that it felt like a 3-to-1 ratio with guests!

Special thanks to Yojandi and Karmen at the coffee shop for their smiles and lovely chats, Prenda Lis, Ivan, and Mauricio for their fantastic drinks, Emma for her warm hospitality, and Ivan at the towel station for his excellent beach service.

Despite heavy rain throughout our stay, we had an amazing time—a testament to the hotel and its staff. Set on the beautiful Cayo Levantado, the resort blends traditional charm with sustainable, modern touches. The lush gardens, immaculate rooms, and comfortable furnishings reflect exceptional attention to detail—the best I’ve experienced in the Caribbean.

The spacious rooms were pristine, with thoughtful touches like nightly turndown gifts. Dining was exceptional, rivaling fine restaurants in Europe. The beach was stunning, the loungers comfortable, and the wellness activities outstanding. Outdoor yoga in the serene Yubarta area was a highlight, thanks to Carla and her team.

Suggestions: Add more Dominican music at the beach to enhance the Caribbean vibe.

Overall, this was the best hotel stay ever, and I can’t wait to return. Huge thanks to the entire team for an unforgettable experience!

Where to begin? This review would be too long to state everything that was great about this place. From the moment you arrive to the time you leave is just everything you can imagine. From welcome drinks to departure lunches is just some of the thoughtfulness behind every aspect at Cayo Levantado. The food and drinks at all restaurants and bars were amazing.
