Arrived at the hotel to find I had been allocated a different room again despite confirming my preferences after having previous problems in getting defects corrected in the rooms I had been allocated.

Poor maintenance is being continuously repeated

I had repeated problems from previous visits, which were not properly rectified despite continuous reporting. These included Blocked drains, USB outlets not charging, power outlet on desk not working, hair dryer cord too short to be of use, TV controller battery not working, toaster in all day dining takes a long time to toast, and was full of old toast slices behind the toaster due to poor delivery, lack of basics provided in ADD including no butter at bread station, no serving spoons with many dishes, lack of large mugs for coffee, no bowls at fruit station etc etc

Dusit D2 Salwa Doha - review from several visits

I was staying for 1 week on a business trip and this was about my 5th stay. I have had issues with shower drain being blocked, then bathroom wash basin being blocked which should be picked up by housekeeping. The last 2 rooms I have stayed in also had the hair dryer re-wired (illegally with taped joints under a wet area) and the power cord to the hair dryer was too short to be able to use it and I had to request a longer cord be fitted. It is also inconvenient to have to pay every time for a meal, laundry etc rather than paying at one time at the end of the stay. The air conditioning is noisy and drafty. The all day dining has been closed down for 50% of the area for floor replacement and the menu has been compromised during this time which I raised with the F&B manager at his request for my comments, but no improvement and if anything the choice has been less because of this

The room was tired and AC noisy. The shower drain blocked so had not been cleaned and the hair drier had a permanently wired connection which to use it meant having to crouch down. The kitchen in the all day dining was half closed due to refurbishment and was noisy plus reduced menu due to this. The toaster was old and in poor condition and did not work (toast went through 6 times without browning) and the kitchen staff ignored my request to fix it, and seemed uninterested

There were no hand towels after the first day. Laundry and Front desk do not answer calls - approx 6 made to arrange for laundry pick up and had to visit front desk to arrange. Then it was not ready when it should have been - I called to chase up delivery and they came to collect! Was charged for breakfast when it was in with cost so they had to refund. Room cold and AC noisy. USB points did not work

Property was very good , I am not satisfied with check in , no welcoming from front office . Even no greeting ,just get details and check in .

Breakfast okay .but food taste better improve .we order omelette with cheese it's not recommend which they use cheese .

We booked executive plus room ,we expected some welcome amenities .there is nothing .

As we checked in late, the front desk asked if we want our room smoking, Which I replied NO, then he said I will upgrade you to an executive room, which we were pleased. Then we went to the room to find out as if some one was either still in this room, or they just forgot to clean it!
Then on our check out, I was told at 8:30 AM by the doorman, that no Valet personal available, they just gave me the key of my car, and asked me to go to the basement to find your car and then you can leave!! This was a first, as the hotel in total did not show any proof of being a 5 star Hotel, if I would have seen such a thing, I would have called it a 2 star and maximum a 3 star Hotel.

Great hotel with reasonable price.

I spent 2 nights herr and I had amazing time. Staffs were friendly and provided fast services. Room was spacious, modern, nice and clean, and comfortable beds. For the price, Dusit D2 gives me better experience than Radisson Blue, Double Tree, and Crown Plaza. Highly suggest this location to my friends and families.

I pre-requested a non smoking room and got a cigarettes smelling one. Auto function on the AC is not working so it is either freezing or not working. Breakfast was less than average with few options, couldn’t take the coffee as take away… On last day, got my room card blocked at 10AM so had to unnecessarily walk to reception to get it renewed. Quite location, away from traffic

Just completed a 7 night stay. Had a lovely room on the first floor with a very comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with bath and separate walk in shower.
Had breakfast every morning and it was always fresh and eggs cooked to order.
All staff efficient and friendly
Would happily stay again. Would highly recommend.

The rooms are great but unfortunately the food wasn’t that good especially the pizza. Also we asked for a wake up call and did not get it with no one answering the phone. The rooms I would give 5 star but the food and service unfortunately is not 5 star standard. I would hope they improve it as the facility is nice. Thank you

It’s a brand new hotel , opened Nov22, service is excellent and the ambiance was super . Rooms and spacious and all facilities on-hand.
I found the basement parking instructions were fade , no clear signs to enter / exit .

This was a great hotel to stay in. Front desk was very helpful and the rooms were nice and clean. If you needed to get around town a Uber was very easy to get. The surrounding area has many eating spots and if you like to party everything is in that area or near. I will stay at this hotel again for sure. Thanks

Staff very friendly, but no valet parking due to COVID. Only bad staff member was the blonde chick who delivered room service. She refused to take a previous meal tray out of the room when bringing my next meal. The parking garage was nice, but very tight in and out. I would NOT take a large vehicle in there. Very beautiful hotel with large spacious rooms with deep tub and large walkin shower. Front desk personnel exceptional to include the security staff. Located near a Mega Mart and KFC which was nice. Great stay, I will be going back.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Was mich vor allem begeistert hat ist die Sauberkeit des Hotels. Das Hotel ist nicht weit vom berühmten Souq Waqif und dem Museum für islamische Kunst. Im Großen und Ganzen kann man das Hotel wirklich nur weiterempfehlen.
