I feel the hotel is overpriced for what you get, the bed looked like it was 20 years old, the doors have over spray paint like they were trying to upgrade the hotel. there was a very strange smell in the room, and the AC had no control over. we had no book about the hotel and the local area in it. the Hotel has a very quiet location, Victor Harbor is a great location.

Do not stay at this motel. The first room they tried to put us in smelt of mould. Then the room we ended up with the screen door had a hole in it with the key just sitting in the wood door. The carpet was stained and not vacuumed, the pillow slip was stained with someone's sweat took of the pillow slip to find the pillow stained aswell. This motel looks like the furniture and linen is still the same as it was when the hotel was first built. Needs a bulldozer disgustingly filthy. The booking companies should at least have some kind of responsibility to check that hotels and motels are a little bit more honest with what customers see on the sites

Good parking. Nice restaurant / takeway on-site. Small room with table & 2 chairs, nice bathroom, cutlery and plates but no cooking facilities only microwave, jug, toaster, fridge, no freezer. No sink or anywhere to wash dishes and cups, but a tea towel available. Room needed airing on arrival. Needs new curtains. Handy to supermarket, gas. Only 7 min drive to Port Elliot or Granite Island causeway.

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a pleasant experience overall. The room was clean and well maintained, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient and felt safe, which was a big plus. The pool area was nice and relaxing. Overall, a good stay!

It’s a basic property but in a great spot. We came down to do a triathlon having double booked the weekend with WOMADelaide. That meant we arrived late (after 9pm) but check in was still easy. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed for a one night stay. We left at 6am next morning. The kids always love the chance to sleep in bunk beds and our bed was fine.

If you are looking for five star amenities, then go elsewhere. If you want a classic Australian country motel, somewhere to sleep for a night or two passing through, or an affordable family vacation, then this could be your place. A solid 3 star venue.

We arrived to check in about 2:10pm, reception was closed & I had to ring a phone number to get the guy out to give me the key. The room was a disappointment upon opening the door, smelly, crumbs on the bench, large sticky spot on the table. Furnishings were all very old, cracks in the walls, mould around the room & bathroom. We left the room until we absolutely had to return to change to go out for our function. After getting back from our function we turned on the tv to find it broken in the corner & lines running down the screen to the bottom. Only 1 pillow each, no spares. Neighbours screaming at each other & crying at 10pm. Heard a smoke alarm go off twice during the night. Woke up to have a shower and leave immediately this morning to find there was not enough water pressure for the water to spray out, it just dribbled out. Was cold for a few minutes before it finally came warm enough for me to get in only for it to turn freezing cold again within 2 minutes before I could wash off my soap! I exited this place in tears. Worse stay I've ever had anywhere in my entire life.

Parking easy, we did not use air conditioner. Getting water for kettle not easy, had to use a cup to get to the tap in bathroom. There was no tea towel or anything to wash plates ect. I was surprised to see a toaster and microwave which would have been handy to know.

It was the worst motel. We arrived around 2.20pm. No one at reception. I called the number and he was in bed. He got up opened the door a bit and said..your in room 1. The key is in the door. Then went back inside and closed the door. As soon as I stepped into the room I knew this wasnt going to be good so I checked the dishes and to my horror there was dried food on all of them. The cutlery was the same. I complained so he put us in another room which ended up being exactly the same. The rooms were absolutely filthy. I could go on and on and on. We left first thing in the morning. Keep away from that place

Oh boy, where do I begin. Perhaps with pubic hairs on an obviously unclean bed-sheet? The need to ask for a Wi-fi network name & password since it's not shared on arrival? A stack of spoons and sugar sachets for some reason stashed behind the Venetian blinds (a clear indication the room had not been cleaned for years). Perchance, the musty, suffocating air inside that is a sure-fire way to legionnaire's disease [still coughing after 2 days]?. Take your pick. But here is the good news! I have traveled through AU extensively, and this is officially the 2nd worst motel I've ever been to. It is incomprehensible the guy's still in business. Seriously hazardous to health: book at your own risk if there is nothing else for miles around.

No one in attendance in the reception on arrival. The linen soiled and the dishes were dirty. Only one bowl and spoon for two people. Fridge up too high and froze the milk. No where to wash dishes , no detergent. Rough towels. No shampoo. Couldn’t fill kettle in basin unless using a cup. Pictures of room on website not true. No cafe on site. Exposed teabags on plate, stale. No tea towel in one of the rooms . Couch had stains on it . Sticky floor. Missing globe in bed side lamp . Hidden light switch for bunk bed area. Drapes oiling close . No remote for air conditioner. .

I would not waste your money.
- Linen Stained - pretty sure sheets were reused and unwashed

Had to wait 35 mins to get a room as room was not made up. They had ample time to do this.
Electric blanket had power issues as one side worked and the other side didn’t. Was not game to use as I might have got electrocuted.
Looked like there was dry blood stain on sheet.
I would not recommend to anyone.

We arrived at 315, no staff on site and room wasn’t ready. Came back 2 hours later to check in and got into the room. It was horrible, looked like bad emergency accommodation. Too many things wrong to even explain. The spray painted walls with overspray on the door just one thing. It was so bad that we booked another motel and left as soon as we could. Do not waste your money here, you will live to regret it!

Pillow case was dirty the air con was so loud you can't have it on while your sleeping so was freezing cold. Bathroom no space to put anything... fridge was dirty just little tubs of milk. There was a microwave and some dishes so that a start. Also a very musty smell.

We didn't like the bed that folded us like bananas.
We didn't like the shower door handle that had a three inch screw coming out the back. This threatened to disembowel us.
We didn't like the paper thin towels.
The propert has good potential that is being ruined by sloppy workmanship.
Forget putting in a pool and pay attention to detail.

Maintenance of the room was terrible. Paint over spray on the carpet and curtain pelmet. A whole in the screen door to fit the key. Bathroom door was falling apart, no handle on the shower screen. Mattress hadnt been turned and was sinking into one spot that others had left. Etc. Do not recommend, this was 2 star if lucky

Please improve your cleaning!

The location is convenient but the room was not cleaned properly such carpet, fridge, bed, bathroom, table and chairs even the toilet wasn’t flushed properly when I received the room. I hope they can do deep clean once and keep it in good condition from there . If they can improve their cleanliness, they will have more clients. I won’t be back with this cleaning. I don’t mind old furnitures but at least they are clean properly. So disappointed!

The cleanliness of this motel was appalling.
The dining chairs were disgustingly filthy.
A pillow case was stained.
The bed sheets were not flattened out or neat and tidy.
The beds were so soft, they are ready for replacement.
The shower alcove had a missing door handle.
The manager did do his best to amend, however, i wouldn't be recommending.

I didn't rate it a 1 for cleanliness as the room had been cleaned, however the carpet is stained the couch grubby & everything is just years old & worn out. I couldn't turn the cold water tap on at all in the shower. The toilet kept filling after each flush if you didn’t repeatedly push the button. I couldn't stop sneezing from dust, probably in the curtains. It hasn't been refurbished since it was built decades ago. The couch is completely worn out & grubby from years of use. I dreaded going to bed as I thought it's going to be like the other furniture, I was surprised that the bed at least was fine. The kitchen supplies ie bar fridge microwave were all fine.The main light in the room was so dim I had to use my phone's torch to see inside my suitcase properly.
If I had to rate it overall I would give it a 1.5 & that's for the bed & that it had been cleaned. It's just completely worn out & outdated & apart from the bed needs new furnishings, it all felt grubby.

Once inside the smell was awful!!

Location was convenient for our stay and maybe it's a case of if the price seems too good to be true it probably is.

It was nice that the air-conditioner was on so the room was already cool on a hot day.

One bed had stained sheets, the room had an off-putting smell, the crockery/ cups weren't clean so had to go get dishwashing liquid to use them, badly stained chair fabric, just didn't feel clean and overall sanitary.

This room was very dirty upon arrival. There was no sink in the kitchen area to wash our dishes. The shower leaked unless you worked out to switch it off and then switch it back the other way a little. The neighbours put rubbish outside when they left which wasn't collected until many hours later. The curtains didn't cover the window. There was a burn out done in the car park which threw stones on all our cars. For the price we paid it was definitely one of the worst places we've stayed in, and we travel around a lot.

in my room the sheets had a stain possible dry blood there was a missing globe over the kitchen area also the tv had bad reception and was just sitting on the table leaning up against the power cord carpets were dirty.
It was a lovely quiet spot bed was comfortable air con kept us warm and the shower was lovely.

The first thing we saw was a cokcroach on the dirty carpet and we squashed it.
The room smelled stale, the carpet was dirty ,the furniture were dirty, the bedding had dirty marks on it ans smelled of something as well as the pillows.
The bed sagged on one side and was not confortable leaving my partner with a back ache.
The TV didn't work . At least we had hot water and the heater worked.
We will never stay there again.
