Our Portsea Beach Hut was perfect for two people plus a single bed suitable for a child or another adult if you don't mind sharing the same room. The bathroom is spacious & includes a spa bath. The kitchen has a Panasonic Inverter Microwave. The outdoor area is very private & has a Weber Q. What you can't find in the kitchen is available in the shared 'Town Hall' complete with oven/cooktop, large fridge & all cooking & eating needs. Recreation area includes tennis court & lawn area for bocce/petanque. Five mins. walk to beach & a short drive to Goolwa, Port Elliot & Victor Harbor. Highly recommended but book early.

A spotty stay
A repeat visit to the beautiful property with warm welcome by pleasant receptionist. The stay was great except our young daughter woke up with spots all over her face and body after the first night, and more spots after subsequent nap on the same bed. We later realised they might be bed bug bites. Unfortunately, our second night stay was not very comfortable as we did not want to take the risk to sleep on the same bed again and slept on the lounge. Feedback was given to the reception person upon check-out, and the bite marks were shown, and it appeared this is not of a concern.

Love the Beach Huts. They are done up resulting in an amazing beachy vibe. Impeccably clean, comfy bed, gorgeous garden setting, not far to walk to the beach, and sch nice little extras - chocolates, nice smelling hand soap, a variety of teas etc.

This is the third time I've stayed at the Beach Huts (a different one each time) and always thoroughly enjoyed it. This time I stayed in the Noosa hut and it was so cute and equipped with everything I needed. I love the fact that you can sit out in your own little private garden and enjoy the surroundings. Beach Huts are adorable, clean and comfortable. Our hut had a soaking tub and separate shower. The property is well kept with pretty gardens all around. These are not ON the beach, but beach is nearby. There is an amazing restaurant adjacent called Blues. Did have one issue that should be noted. There are a few huts that back up to main road,, ours was one of them, and the road noise was pretty bad for a light sleeper like me. Would definitely recommend this property for launching day trips to the surrounding areas.

Beach Huts has such charm, character and the place is just immaculate. The manager and team really care about their guests, and actually want you to have an enjoyable stay - complimentary sparkling wine and chocolates, as well as everything for a continental breakfast - all provided. Kids loved the DVDs, after being in the car & the cold air, they enjoyed relaxing in our (pre-heated, thank you!!!!) beach hut. So comfy, beds and decor just perfect.

The property was awesome!!! Sandy was very very kindly and gentle... the few down things was out of their hands... it was more Hotel.com fault and little bit of unlucky time.
No water for the night ( unlucky general fault in town) nothing to do with the hotel in itself. But in the morning was establish and Sandy help us to get some water and keep us in the loop with updates.
Breakfast missed but it was because hotel.com doesn’t advise us the check in time properly so we could not do a proper check in and we had to left really early next day for our itinerary.

The Beach Hut was beautiful inside. It was well thought out to meet the needs of being on holiday. It was well equipped, light and spacious. The bed was very comfy, and the extras of providing breakfast and free bubbly was a lovely touch. We were sad to be leaving as we had only booked one night, but we will definitely be looking at staying again but for longer next time. Thank you to the owners for making the beach hits such a lovely place to stay. We loved it.

Not as close to the beach as I thought it would we and close to a very busy road. The cabins are very nicely decorated. If you wish to cook, there is a very well equipped central kitchen.

Great place but no service
Staff very friendly, Bfast was great and bungalow was excellent. Service was non-existent however. No wifi code was given to us on checkin. Front door said office was open till 6 but was empty at 530. Said to ring a number. Tried it several times but it went to VM saying after hours go to the website, even though it wasnt after hours. With 3 teenage kids wanting to relax after a full day on the river, it was disappointing. How hard can it be to have a number divert to a mobile when you are running a hotel????

The surrounds were lovely and peaceful with beautiful gardens. Couldn’t recommmend the beach huts more highly and want to go back again in future it was that enjoyable.
