The staff were kind and helpful. The location was good because there is a night market in Chinatown and it was easy to get a snack coming back to the hotel at night. There is also a Starbucks in the hotel which was nice for morning coffee.

Our family club suite was quite spacious and separate bathrooms for kids and us. I suffered a sprained ankle while in bangkok and the staff were very accomodating. Breakfast is pretty standard for same type of hotel anywhere, but would be nice to see more halal options, while there are loads of halal places to eat just minutes from the hotel. The ratchawong ferry pier is walkable and handy. Chinatown night market starts from the hotels doorstep.

I had a very pleasant stay at Grand China Bangkok. The hotel’s location in Chinatown is excellent—right in the heart of the action, with easy access to street food, shops, markets, and public transportation. It’s a great base for exploring this vibrant part of Bangkok.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, offering a nice place to relax after a busy day out. The higher floors provide great views of the city, especially in the evening. Housekeeping did a good job keeping everything tidy throughout my stay.

The staff were polite, friendly, and helpful, making check-in and daily interactions smooth and welcoming. The hotel facilities were well maintained, and the overall atmosphere felt calm despite being in a very lively area.

Overall, Grand China Bangkok offers excellent value for its location, comfort, and service. I would definitely recommend it to travelers who want to experience Chinatown while staying in a comfortable and reliable hotel.

Disapointed in the pool, it is tucked away in a corner, and needs a lot of work to bring it up to standard. And no lounges to lay on in the area, and to had to access it by getting the lift to 22nd floor then climbing a flight of stairs to get to 23rd floor where the pool is! also the lighting in the room and bathroom were very dull, good breakfast, friendly staff, pianist in the dining area (Tim) in the afternoons was. very good. And in the evenings they had Karaoke it was fun.

The bathroom is very tired with moldy grout and sealant, and peeling paint. House keeping kept forgetting to provide either toilet paper, tissue, towels or free water almost daily. Only a travel size hairdryer was provided which wasn't powerful. The beds are quite hard and very wobbly. The hotel doesn't appear to be at four star standards.

Great hotel. In a great location to Chinatown. Can get the Elephant Bus for a tour of the city from the Lobby Entrance. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Chinatown and sample the great array of food.

Stayed on junior suite street view rm 1504.Room was big 45sq/m.location good.lighting very poor.room very dark.Airon not good couldn’t cool the room size.room warm in the afternoon.Shower knob came off on my 4th night.shower drainage choke.had to overturn the cover so draining water could flow.told front desk to get all these problem resolved.

Old hotel residued in great location

1. Run down room but well maintenance.
2. Toiletries always shortage of some items like toothbrush or cotton buds at times. Only a roll of toilet paper, not having extra if not request.
3. Limited breakfast selections for main dishes.
4. Most of the staffs are friendly except one not so proactive.
5. Great location where lots of street foods. Wholesales and food stalls throughout every night.

Location of hotel was a short walk to, albeit not in the heart of, Yaowarat.

Was given Room 2203.
The exhaust fan in the room was quite disturbing even when the air-con unit was switch off.

Gym was poorly maintained and not available 24 hours.

The pool was not impressively at all.

Service staff were professional especially front counter staff Miss Sudarat.

The stay was great, the accommodations are well above average and the people, .i.e. the staff are exceptional. I enjoyed high floor rooms with River views and view of the city. I did the breakfast buffet and I highly recommend it. Very affordable and extensive.
I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Bangkok.

Im afraid I would not rate the pool for swimming. It is very small, more like a jacuzzi without the warmth and bubbles. If you want to swim don't come here, try the Mandarin

Based in China town but still walkable to most things. Metro blue line within minutes which was super easy to use. Facilities at the hotel were excellent with lots of dining options and a super roof top bar. Staff were very helpful. The concierge were great. Would highly recommend and definitely would stay again

We were exhausted when we arrived. They were sticky about their 2 pm check in. We went to the pool and more rules and stiff staff to enforce them. Not a friendly hotel. But Chinatown is right down the street. It is the first hotel we stayed in during our 2 week trip in Thailand, and it's not representative of the friendliness of the rest of our trip. In case like this, I usually wonder about the hotel owners/administrators who set the rules and tones, not the staff.

Wonderful hotel in fantastic location. My wife and I have stayed here several times over the last few years. We love the location and the hotel and staff have never disappointed.
Now, I am not saying perfect, the hotel is a little old now, sometimes things go wrong, but the staff have always been there to help.
Do not come expecting a new hotel, consider her a majestic beauty and enjoy her elegant grace.

Chinese New Year and crazy everywhere. Hotel was fine. Balcony nice. Don’t understand why you can bring women to your room but u r banned from smoking on the balcony. No sense. I don’t spend a lot of time in my room but bed was comfy and I slept fine. Shower need a little work but whatever. Fantastic location as it may be the best hotel on the Chinatown strip!

A fabulous stay at the Grand China Bangkok hotel. Lots of things to do around the area, great massage places, walkable attractions, easy to grab a taxi, safe, hotel is part of a shopping mall so convenient. Starbucks also part of the building. My room was on the 17th floor with lovely views. The room was spacious and clean. It is also the floor was GenZ bar. Hotel staff all friendly and welcoming. The coincerge staff are my favourite, always getting the lift for me or carrying up my bags. Amazing service. Will definitely stay again.

I would have to give 10 out of 10 for my stay. The room was spacious. I loved that it had a settee in and two chairs so I didn't have to just sit on the bed. There were plenty of plugs. It was easy to blowdry my hair because of convenience of mirrors and plugs. The tv worked well and I was able to get YouTube. The bathroom was a good size and not awkward to use.
I used every area of the hotel dining on the 17 floor with great views and on the 23 floor. The ground floor offered economical dinning plus a Starbucks close at hand. I would highly recommend this hotel but remember you are in an older part of town and older building.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. If you want to see all the cultural buildings and temples this is a good base to go from with plenty of taxi and tuk tuk.
Just half a point off. The pool is not as it seems on picture and it more just a plung pool or large spa. So don't come to sit around a pool. Other than that as I said top marks. Thankyou for a great stay.

Grand China was a really good value for our stay. Staff do a great job and this is a fun neighborhood within Bangkok with great & inexpensive food options - including vegan.
The lobby floor has many shops and a couple eating options – often with music that may include karaoke. The seventh floor has a decent workout space with mats, free-weights, and machines.

The building definitely has a lot of quirks – like a pool you have to go through a maze to reach & is more like a soaking tub than something to swim in. Mattresses are clean, but not the highest quality. The building has been retrofit with a bunch of different uses likely not intended by its designers.

Being in the middle of Chinatown and 10 minute walk to the MRT and river ferry options, this is a great place to explore Bangkok from. We may stay there again in the future.

I like the property and people but woke up very sweaty as air on was off due to no electric tans it seemed only my room. Every time it was switched on the breaker would go off again. I finally just got up and check out just so I could be out of the stuffy room.

The location was conveniently situated near various markets, coffee shops, and restaurants. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, but upon entering the room, I noticed that some of the roof tiles were out of place and had to be adjusted. However, I was disappointed to find that the rooms were not as clean as depicted, with noticeable dirty fingerprints on the walls. Additionally, the shower had drainage issues after every use. The furniture appeared dated, and there was a lack of updated power outlets.
