Great quiet budget hotel.

Enormous firm very comfortable bed n good size bedroom. Cleaned daily and good quality towels . Tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate available 24/7 by reception. Quiet location on edge of Chinatown.
Noisy conditioner, in quite humid room. Extra shelving in bathroom would help.

Nice short stay in Bangkok’s Chinatown, 15min walk from metro station. Room on high floor, very quiet at night and with a view over city during the day. Everything functional and clean, great wifi, no complaints.

Warm and friendly staff

I stayed in Pho Place as a solo traveler and had a very positive experience. The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful in giving directions and suggesting things to see and do. My room was clean and comfortable with easy access. I felt safe in the surrounding area. The hotel is on a short ally off a Main Street in Chinatown. In the day time it is business as usual but at night the street is a new experience. I did not appreciate its activities until my last night in town and was sorry I didn’t have more time to explore the immediate area. During the day I took a bus, a minute’s walk from the hotel, to the Grand Palace area where I did tours and shows. The Pho Place hotel met my every need at a reasonable price.

Perfect hotel to explore Chinatown in Bangkok

Hotel is in a new condition, rooms are spacious and very. clean with a modern look, fully functioning AC and widescreen TV. Staff are welcoming and speak English. Hotel is perfectly located to explore Chinatown. 2 min walk to the street with all the street food stands, yet quiet at night. 5-10 min walk to Hua Lamphong station.

The level of cleanliness was disappointing. There was a sewage smell in the bathroom, as though there was no trap on the shower drain. The floor under the beds had not been cleaned in a long time. Service was great. Front-desk staff were very helpful and the mechanic quickly fixed our broken luggage scale.

Clean quiet hideaway

This was a very clean, comfortable and quiet place to stay in Bangkok. 10-15 minute walk to catch a boat to the sights or to the skytrain with connections to the subway. It is 10-15 minutes walk from the train station. Hotel had all the amenities we required and comfortable beds and pillows. Staff are so very friendly and helpful.We could not find any restaurants close by that offered our style of breakfast, or the kind of homestyle food we craved at times. There are lots of street food places here and of course Chinese food places. This was the only drawback, but is of course in no way a fault of the hotel's.

Lovely quiet retreat

Quiet retreat off busy China Town - 10 min walk from railway station, down a small alleyway, may feel slightly intimidating-but don’t be put off - the locals are very friendly & give the Thai smile! V easy to find lots of eateries, markets to wander round. Room lovely - nicely decorated, clean, small balcony area, not the best view from the room but that reflects where it is, in the middle of Chinatown. There are plenty of well-located plug/ electrical sockets, which isn’t alway the case in rooms in this price range. Friendly, very helpful staff, spoke good English. We would revisit.

What we got was far from what the booking said

Check in was nothing special, when we questioned the lady on reception that some of the items listed on the booking were not in the room Bath robe, slippers, tea and coffee facilities the receptionist said that's only available in superior room, I said the booking states superior room, with that she just walked away, the room was clean, we were on 5th floor and there was a constant noise from an electrical water pump. The next morning the staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was sufficient, would I stay again? Only on the lower floors

Getting around the city is so much easier because of the location of the hotel. The staffs are all friendly and accommodating. The hotel and the room are clean, cozy and quiet. Its one of the place you will consider coming back when going to Bangkok. Thank you to all the staffs of Pho Place.

Convenient for Chinatown shopping

Close to main train station and easy to get to Chinatown markets from here. Lots of food places at night. Check in staff friendly and can speak English. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathrooms small, one room had shower curtain , one didn’t so water goes everywhere(hint don’t take clothes in with you) . Has balcony where you can smoke and also a tub outside so u can wash clothes. Good area if you want to shop at Chinatown. No pool so a bit pricey compared to what you can get in other areas.

The hotel itself is nice enough but it’s located at the dead end of a dirty back street filled with low end vehicle repair shops. However I hasten to add that the area seemed quite safe.

Hidden gem, almost...

Nice quiet motel near Chinatown tucked inside residential so you need to walk thru a dark alley... Room is generally clean but bathroom small. Bring your own toothbrush as it's not included in the 'free toiletries'. Was not told I had to hang the 'Clean Room' signage to have my room cleaned daily... There were no bathrobes, slippers, tissue box and hot kettle despite what's stated during my booking. Like the small balcony with wash basin to do laundry and chill-out. Staff were warm and polite though the seasoned ones seemed less helpful... Will stay here again if the price is just right next time.

Great quiet location and clean bright suites

On my first night, I had a problem with a room due to the Elevator ding noise, so I asked to be moved, fully expecting push back. But to my surprise, they gladly moved me to another suite away from the Elevator and made sure I was happy. On checkout, I left my bags in their storage and when I returned to retrieve them, they offered that I use their shower to freshen up prior to tge flight. These are great people and the hotel is great value! Thank you all. You're wonderful and I hope to be back.

Would recommend this place because I was so happy there that Inwill come again.
It has clean rooms. Very helpful staff. They even come to my room to weigh my luggage for me. It is in China Town and for
The river boats and walking distance to all the shops and eateries. It is also close to The \"Hua Lampong\" MRT.
It also has free coffee and Tea .
Suggest request higher floors facing the back. Good value for money.

Cheap hotel in Chinatown

Walking into the alley where the hotel is located for the first time during the night seemed a bit scary, but later realized that its just well hidden, not facing the main street. Arrived quite late for a very unprepared room. There were no towels at all or any other facilities advertised, just 2 bottles of water, shower gel and shampoo. Safe was locked and there was a little electricity issue as well. Once you settle down this place is a great value for money, right next to Chinatown. Staff didn’t seemed the most professional and don’t speak English very well, but overall very friendly.

Good location, brand new building, everything's new, clean room with little balcony. Balcony is for smoking area and each one is equip with a big stainless sink where you can do your laundry every night. The location..? it's right in the smack of Chinatown where all the food action are.
Just one tiny itty drawback... although their wifi signal is strong but four times in 24 hours it will have no internet for about 30 to 45 minutes otherwise it's fast.

Great hotel for exploring Chinatown

The room was great and had a nice little balcony, the staff were friendly and it's in a good location of Chinatown.
Modern feel to the hotel.
There was a computer for use in the lobby along with free tea and coffees.
It was just enough away from the main road and we stayed just as the 10 day Chinese vegetarian festival started - a nice surprise!
We would definitely go back there if we were going to the area again.

Good location, close to main Railway station.

Nice hotel but too hard to find. Even the Tuk tuk drivers had problems. Comfortable and clean but had to ask for all inclusions such as tea coffee maker and hair dryer. Would not stay again as too far out of the way.

Pho Place was a great guest house in China Town. I would definitely stay again. The staff was quite friendly and professional, the room was perfect (although the bathroom was a tiny bit less luxurious than the rest of the room), and everything felt new, modern and clean. Just the way I like it. Thumbs up.

Great Value and location

Stayed here with friends during a recent visit to Bangkok. Hotel was chosen for it's location being 10 minutes walk from Hua Lamphong main railway station and Metro. Whilst not the easiest to find due to being located down a side street off the main road , there is a sign post directing you from the main street, and the actual hotel is great value for the price - clean rooms with airconditioning , wet room with shower & toilet , and free wifi throughout.

In the heart of Chinatown

Nice place to stay after our long flight to Thailand. Checking in was easy and the location was great. We walked to famous Chinatown street eats for dinner. It's a quick tuk tuk to the chao phraya express boats to take you to other parts of the city.

Rooms are very modern and clean. There's a little balcony but our room was mostly very dark and quiet. Bathroom was standard.

Hotel staff are not very helpful or knowledgeable about the area. They couldn't even order is a taxi to the airport.

It is a new building very modern clean and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay would go back. Staff very friendly and attentive. No food service but have hot water if you bring own coffee or tea. In China town so mostly Chinese food more variety near train station. Location is of a small ally and hard to find at first. Cab drivers need a map to find best to have them drop you at nearby Wat or Hospital. I don't know why it got some bad reviews at Hotel.com as it does not deserve them.

Staff is friendly,but beware with taxi services offered by hotel to guarantee safety? Price was more than double of what a metered taxi would cost. Ask for a metered taxi and pay for tolls along the way if your going back to airport. Suggest to educate yourself prior to traveling and be prepared with do's and dont's.

good value, lovely staff, but a bit noisy

nice big bed and hotel staff were very friendly. it's not easy to find but luckily or taxi driver stumbled upon it. The room was very comfortable, our only criticism would be that there were building works going on nearby in the morning which was a bit noisy. Other than that it's great value for money and just off one of the main streets in China town. just be aware that taxi drivers don't know where it is!

Staying in Pho Place was very nice. Service was good and people were very nice. The room was clean and included a lot of comforts i.e. a big fridge, air condition, a clean bathroom, TV and water boiler.
Minor things were: 1) the room was not cleaned during the stay (2 nights) and 2) the hotel itself was difficult to find.

Hotel shouldn't be rated 3 stars; not even the cost is 3 stars. The rooms are cheaply made, the housekeeping service didn't leave resupplies, so we had to make an emergency trip down to the desk to get toilet paper. Pictures of the bathroom were conspicuously missing because the bathroom is bare-bones only. Clean, but a bathroom you would find in the cheapest hotel. It is OK now because it is new and clean, but in 2016 or beyond, I would stay away.

翌朝鉄道移動のため、宿泊。広い通りから路地に入った先にありますが、いたって普通の三ッ星ホテル。好みが分かれますが、チャイナタウンの雑多な場所にあり、長く滞在するには物足りない。路地入り口の屋台、フォーがめちゃくちゃ美味かったです。
