Hotel itself was good. Decent, comfortable room. Good for the price. Few facilities in the local neighbourhood. Chinatown is round the corner, so there are markets in the daytime, but at night there are few bars, restaurants, shops. But convenient location for commuting to other parts of the city; metro station is right outside plus lots of bus routes.

Good hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our balcony was dirty so we didn't get a chance to use it at all. We appreciated that the room had both A/C as well as a fan. The hotel is directly in front of Hua Lamphong train entrance and there's a 7-Eleven around the corner, which is about as convenient as it gets! It's on a main road but we barely heard any noise once inside our room. Come prepared with cash as there is a ฿200 room key deposit, which is returned upon checkout.
Would definitely recommend to stay here!

Fast check-in and check-out. The staffs were polite and smiling the whole time. Clean room too and had no issues with the hot water.
This hotel is recommended if you would like to go to Ayutthaya, Chinatown and most temples in the city. Very convenient because you can take the train going to and back the airport thru Airport Link (blue line) and MRT (subway). The restaurant inside the hotel was also okay, a little pricey but good food.

Within Thailand my wife and I usually travel by overnight train and this hotel is located within easy walking distance of its namesake Hua Lamphong Train Station. It is also convenient to the MRT subway system which will take you to a connection to the BTS Skytrain. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The Wifi connection was free and fast. There is an excellent restaurant on the first floor.

Water pressure was too low. No shower door. After shower floor was wet and very slippery. No smile from reception when we checked in. Only warmed up to us after 2nd day. Towels aren't absorbent. Noisy street. No kettle. Need deposit 500 baht, no receipt and on returning we had to ask for redund. Walk 10 mins to Chinatown.

Not worth the price

Wifi was horrendous, difficult to connect (not just for one day, mind you). No phone in room, difficult to complain or ask questions to the front desk, had to go to front desk physically. Washing basin inside the room (outside toilet) is not the best idea. Rather stingy in replenishing soap and shampoo (tiny portions, to begin with), so had to request from front desk (no phone, had to walk). Room very small, only for the bed plus width of door - too pricey for that kind of price. The front desk looked nicely refurbished but the room was not. Other than the good location (right outside Metro station exit) there really is nothing to shout about, but even that is not worth the price I think.

The location is great. Just 5 minutes walk from the Bangkok Main Train Station. The train ticket ride from Don Mueng Airport to Bangkok only cost us 5THB (just MYR0.65) ! And the MRT Station(Hua Lamphong) just at your door step!

I took the stay bcoz it's near the train station. And other than the shaky shower hose, super slow lift, \"I don't understand you\" reception, then everything is fine. Until I found out that. They don't change my bed sheet. I was shocked to see the stain for two days. When I asked them next morning, they mentioned that. They will change every two days but I told her. I paid everyday!! I don't see why is it like that. Ohh, also they served expensive coffee and breakfast. Go opposite to have your coffee and meal will be a better choice.

We were given a room on the 3rd floor which is quite alright and clean but the water pressure in the shower is very low which cause showering not at all enjoyable. The mattresses and pillows are really uncomfortable. You get bodyache sleeping on them. Other than that everything is fine. We liked the location which is very convenient for all the tourist attractions plus the mrt which is right infront of the hotel. Staff is friendly and service is good. Restaurant provides good food.

We booked one night here as we needed to be near the train station. From here we walked to and explored China Town and also walked to the Chao Praya river to catch a river taxi.

The lady on the front desk was helpful when asking for directions to these two places.

The rooms were clean and today and had enough space for us. The bathroom was better than most that I have come across in SEA.

As some of the rooms are dorms there was a room for people to meet. We spent some of our evening in here playing table football and watching a dvd which the hotel provide free of charge.

The things that let this hotel down for me was the air conditioning. It did have an air conditioning unit but it wasn't blowing out cold air - this made our nights sleep unbearable and we needed a cold shower in the morning! Our friends room next door was exactly the same.

Look for something else...

Rooms may look great on pics but they aren't. We booked one of the awesome looking more expensive doublerooms in hope to relax in a bit of luxury after a long unconfortable journey. We where shocked when we entered the supposed to be relaxing room. It was disgusting: totally worn down room, dirty fingerprints everywhere (Door, walls, mirror), parts of the walls where coming down room (hidden behind the pillow you're sleeping on), dirty bathroom, bedding and towels yellowisch with stains.

When we checked in, they couldn't find our booking. The receptionist then didn't just asked us which room we booked, she (or he) also asked how much we paid for it. Seems they choosing the rooms according to what you've paid!? We booked the most expensive room they had, so I won't imagine how the others look like...

Definitely not worth the money. Never again!

this place has an excellent location, next to BTS Hua Lamphong, and a short a walk to the train station and China town. there are plenty of transportation options and food vendors as well. the place is clean, well maintained and has its own restaurant. the only complaint would be those red plastic seats in the room are extremely uncomfortable to sit on. but, it's a hostel not the hyatt.

My stay at @Hua Lamphong and some bus travel trips

I was in 2 different hostels in Bangkok and definitely this was not only the best one in Bangkok of the two but also one of the best I stayed in during my whole trip in Asia! I was in the 4 dorm room, comfortable bed, clean room, lockers fairly good size with a mirror :) (rare to get mirrors in hostels!) and it was right in front of the bathroom which was also very clean!! Very nice breakfast cafe area and the receptionist was very nice and helpful too! It was definitely a great great vale for my money!! $11 for one night...

The only draw back in this hostel is that the Wifi wasnt good inside the room and the trip I booked with them - Bus trip from Bangkok to Siem Reap. Dont know if they are aware or not but the bus company they link us to go to Siem Reap - they took us to their office right close to the border saying its for the change of ticket tot get the next bus after the border crossing, but all it is is to go through one of the scam schemes at the border to get the visa from them (they charge $45 when the official price at the border is $30) - the whole experience was not a good one at all. So if you think about getting any one of these bus trips from Bangkok to cross borders, please do be cautious and definitely DO NOT take this company called Adventures World Travel Tours (or something like that, dont remember exactly the name). Safe Trip!

Had a first train ride (0805hrs) the next morning so wanted to find a room near the train station just for a night and this place came up. Literally just opposite the train station. We woke up at 0730hrs and still managed to catch the train in time. Place is mainly a hostel but we got a double room which was nice and clean. Good enough for a night. Chinatown is 5 minutes away if you're looking for something to eat at night which we did. Overall a pleasant experience.

Good location, a short walk from Hualampong Railway Station. The room on the top floor had no wi-fi reception at all, though it was advertised to be included.
The room was small but clean, with window overlooking laundry area, ensuite with poor water pressure. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast (extra cost) was very ordinary, food ordered was not hot when served.

Spacious room. Very near train and railway station which is great as I need to get to Don Maueng airport. Vicinity got nothing much.

just don't go to the massage place near to the hotel. The woman masseuse was just pressing me all over and was just distracted whenever someone walks in or when the phone rings(small operation) no compensation of time lost from these activaties and only massaged for 1hr 40 mins for a 2 hour session.

Convenient location.

This hotel is opposite Bangkok main train station and nearby Chinatown. I stay here to catch my train the next early morning. They provide service for advance purchase of train ticket with just 50 baht service fee per ticket. Hotel is very convenient to reach, just about 10 steps away from the exit of MRT Hua Lamphong subway station. There's a convenient store called Family Mart on the same street. The hotel condition is average. Small room, for a 1 night short stay should be alright. Better request for low floor room because the hotel lift is moving very slow.

Great, only 40 meters from MRT Hua Lamphong and Hua Lamphong Central Station. If I want to grab a snack, there is many choices to get it like in 7 Eleven, Family Mart. The streethawkers are not too much there but its ok because in Hua Lamphong Central Station have a food court with thai food stalls and also halal food in the corner of food court.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist momentan noch genial - direkt am Eingang der MRT, unmittelbar gegenüber des (noch!) Hauptbahnhofs von Bangkok, 150 m fußläufig von Chinatown entfernt und ca. 1 km von der nächsten Skytrain-Station und schließlich ist man zu Fuß in knapp 30 min. am Pier.
Das sind die ultimativen Trümpfe dieser Unterkunft.
In manchen Details merkt man allerdings, dass diese auch leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. So stünden sowohl Fenster- als auch geringwertige Bad-Renovierungen an - aber das sind insgesamt gesehen Unwesentlichkeiten, es ist als Hostel immer noch toll.

地下鉄の駅が目の前なので立地が最高。
コンビニはホテルを出て左の方向にありますが、曲がったところにありホテルからは見えないので注意してください。
エレベーターが笑ってしまうほどノロいです。

Kaksi yötä Bangkokissa

Palveli oikein hyvin yöpymispaikkana pari yötä lennon jälkeen ennen siirtymistä Koh Taolle. Siisti huone, toimiva ilmastointi, suihku ja wifi. Jonkin verran liikenteen melu kuului sisälle, mutta ei häirinnyt niin paljoa että ei pystyisi nukkumaan. China Town ja Hua Lamphong asema lähellä.
