DO NOT STAY HERE!! First, they have a hidden deposit for the key, no big deal but I'm glad I had the Baht on hand and they seemed confused when I requested the deposit back. They seemed very polite at first but the cleaning staff and manager were rude. They would not give us extra towels or anything for the extremely slippery floor. The housekeeping staff was very loud in the hallways, yelling to each other while we were sleeping. They accused me of taking \"another customer's bags\", yet did not call the police or kick us out. If we really stole they should have done that at a minimum! If we hadn't prepaid I would have left, it was beyond insulting. The bathroom floor was extremely slippery and we could barely stand up after showering and also had some mold. We did have a couple of younger staff members that were extremely polite and helpful, but I just can't get over the rudeness of the others.

A basic Chinese style business hotel with plain but comfortable rooms and a super friendly staff. Better than expected breakfast buffet. Excellent location near Hua Lamphong train station and Chinatown with easy access to the MRT subway. I have stayed here many times.

this is one of my favorite budget hotel in the yaowarat area.The best value in the area. conveniently located for all transportation .breakfast is good .all staffs are friendly and professional .

This has been an extremely disappointing experience. The room did not match the pictures on your website at all. The cleanliness was unacceptable, the noisy air conditioner made it impossible to sleep, the beds were uncomfortably hard, the curtains were filthy, and the overall maintenance of the building was poor. I'm genuinely surprised that this hotel has a rating of 8.3. Despite having another night booked, I will not be returning.

Location is very near with MRT station and old station. Can walk to yaowarat area too. Hotel is old but with its own charm. The bed is big as long as you don’t mind creepy and dark hallway outside. Bangkok is super hot. It would be great if aircon can be colder.

Affordable Good Choice Near Chinatown
This was my second stay at Krungkasem Srikrung. Clean, good-sized rooms with solid basic amenities. Better-than-average breakfast buffet. Cordial staff. I love the location next to Hua Lamphong Train Station and Chinatown. Right on the MRT subway line makes getting around from here easy. This place is not fancy but it is comfortable and an excellent value.

Perfect location for walking to many of the popular tourist sites. Breakfast was very good for a 2* hotel. Only 1 thin towel per person - no facecloth or hand towel. Only soap was on the wall in the shower and it was empty for 2 days until I asked for it to be refilled. Wanted an extra pillow and they were reluctant - asked me why I needed it. No other amenities. But showers were hot and elevator (though tiny) was always working. Difficult to communicate in English with anyone at reception.

The property is old and outdated. So many insects all over the room and hallway. Also many lizards on the walls and ceiling. Reported this problem to the staff for my 16days stay and said the manager will get back to me. Never happened!

Very well located and generally clean, it's a basic room for 20$, you can't expect too much but the basics, and that's good enough. The breakfast was surprisingly good and varied, with scrambled eggs, delicious ham and turkey, fruit, and a few Thai options such as cabbage and pork soups, rice, light stirfries etc. We found the bed to be particularly hard and due to my increasing back pain, had to rent a room in a different hotel for the last 2 nights of our stay in Bangkok. Walking distance to Chinatown and access to boat taxi were however particularly convenient for this price!

I liked the positioning of my room, which hovers directly above the canal and does gave me a wider view of Bangkok's glittering skyline and of the downtown traffics which run on both sides of the canal. An elderly male staff was particularly helpful to me. I misplaced my iPod at another hotel, but this gentleman allowed me to use their personal laptop. I am looking forward for another stay there.

We had an amazing view from our 7th floor room, we could see the city over a river and we even had a balcony! The location was superb for access to Hua Lamphong train station and subway/connections to Skytrains. The room was simple but clean, with a fridge, kettle and general sense of care taken such as free water and the room made up nearly every day. Aircon worked perfectly, thank goodness!! The bathroom was okay - it served as a wet room but the shower really did make everything too wet, including the toilet and the entire floor. It was manageable though. Breakfast had an interesting buffet with some western food and some more local. We both found this pleasing! This hotel is cheap and cheerful - if you don’t expect luxury, you’ll be very pleased with the nice simple rooms and friendly staff.

The hotel itself is basic but clean, very vomfy beds, great air con, strong free wifi, great buffet breakfast & the reception staff are all lovely and helpful. If you are a traveller, the laundry service is a bit expensive so you can do it yourself out in the alley way (or there are cheaper laundry services nearby).
Location wise... its alright. There are hidden gems in the area & Chinatown is very close, but most tourist attractions are a 35-50 minute walk away. The (decent) nightlife is also a good 30 minute walk away. This didnt bother me as Im travelling so have to make do, but I would stay elsewhere next time unless I had more disposable cash to use the public transport (all taxis & tuktuks are out to scam you so always haggle with them).

We stayed here as it was cross the road from the train station and were pleasantly surprised at the high standard of the hotel. The staff were friendly,welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was substantial with several options. This is an ideal choice when travelling by train. There is an attached cafe with a good menu which saved the day when we arrived late and hungry!

The hotel is completely outdated. The pictures don't really reflect how outdated it actually is but it is very clean. The staff are very friendly and the location is amazing. It is located across the street from Hua Lamphong train/ MRT station, about a 15min walk away from Chinatown and there's a ferry station across the street.

We chose this hotel for a 1 night stopover in Bangkok, near the main train station. It is well located, walking distance from chinatown and also just cross the river from the train station. The hotel is a bit run down, but its very affordable. The staff was very friendly but the beds were extremely hard. A/C worked properly and very decent wi-fi. Reasonable breakfast too. Overall, a great choice for a 1 night in the city.
