This is not the hotel's fault but there was dredging and/or construction noise going on less than a half mile away, first thing in the morning. Comfortable room though. It would have been nice to have a normal ice machine (near the lobby) instead of being expected to make my own ice in the full size fridge. Cheers!

$80 room for over double that.

The accommodations themselves were just very modest. Not outside of my expectations so there's really not a discount in my rating for the accommodations. The check-in process was unusually slow. Part of the problem is the front desk worker was outside.... possibly on break while two of us were in line to check in and no one at the front desk to take care of us. But largely the biggest complaint was that this is a very modest room at just under $200 with taxes. I travel about 80 nights a year and I would never expect to pay this much for this level of accommodations anywhere else other than Pierre/Ft Pierre. The lodging choices here are few, and they are all overpriced. As a seasoned business traveler giving travel advice, I would suggest you stay in Mitchell, Rapid City, or Aberdeen rather than Pierre if possible.

You expect me to buy dishes???

This was my first stay at a “My Place”. I was stunned to discover that guests were expected to purchase cookware, dishes, and utensils.

Much more expensive than a Candlewood Suites with fewer actual suite features and amenities.

Bed bugs!! Took a picture and showed the front desk guy, said yes that is a bed bug. He was very nice and understanding that I didn't want to stay there. He called his manager and said to give me another room. Decided against that so drove three hours to stay somewhere else as no other rooms were available in the area. Was told no refund. Hope to get into contact with someone. Will no longer stay at this hotel chain.

The parking lot, the entrance way, and the room was very clean. Josie and Brandy were very friendly. We have an issue with the TV not working and after another room with the same issue, Josie was able to get us into a room that that had a working TV. Josie was very apologetic, but we travel a lot and things like this happen.

Booked room for a funeral. When I checked in staff agreed to give be a lower bereavement rate. When I checked out staff said everything was fine. When I received by credit card statement. I saw that My Place had unilaterally added a charge to raise the rate. When I called, I was told the staff was not authorized to give me the lower rate. I asked why I was not told that when I check out or called before the charge was added, the employee became irate and said \"don't yell at me\" and hung up.

Didnt like that you had to preorder food. We got in very late with kids so we couldnt get the breakfast. Didnt know there was a kitchen before we arrived. No pool so the kids were dissapointed but we only stayed one night.

The hotel is pretty new, so it felt clean. It was nice to have a full size refrigerator in the room and a kitchen, but there weren't any pots/pans or cooking utensils unless we wanted to buy them. Since there was a kitchen, there wasn't a continental breakfast offered, which was a bit of an inconvenience. The food items that were offered for sale were overpriced, and the only coffee pump pot that was available was empty 2 out of 5 times I tried to get coffee. A backup pot would've been helpful.

Location was great! I booked through Expedia for a room with 2 queen beds with recliner which was needed for my mother who needed the recliner to sleep. The individual working at first said nothing was available, they couldn’t move us to another room. Finally after insisting I needed to receive what I ordered and paid for he found a room. The room was great. I felt the clerk should have been more understanding of our needs and making sure we got what we paid for.

The hotel is in a good location. Extended stay type so all the kitchen amentias are there. The Refrigerator made a humming noise all night long that was hard to get used to, and one of the bed had a high-pitched squeak. During Covid, no housekeeping service during the stay unless requested. And no breakfast buffet - just some grab and go items. Otherwise good stay.

This facility shows its age. Although furnished with refrigerator, stove, microwave, not a single utensil of any kind in the drawers but since we were just staying one night maybe we got a room without utensils. Pretty much bare bones for decor, size of room is small, likewise with bathroom.

I booked this room the day before a wrestling tournament because I knew the weather was going to be bad. The roads were impassable and we weren’t able to make it there to stay and the hotel wouldn’t give a credit offer any discounts because “I purchased on Expedia” and no I didn’t purchase insurance because I live 90 miles away, I didn’t think the weather would turn as fast as it did. As it was, I barely made it back home once I turned around.

Will definitely stay elsewhere and not book with Expedia in the future. Hotels definitely take the money but treat Expedia booking guests differently for sure. Live and learn.

The room was spacious and squeaky clean. It was equipped with a full size fridge, microwave, full size coffee maker and cooktop. Heat/air unit has digital control and super easy to set. Power outlets everywhere and Ethernet connection!!! Love it!!! Stay here, it's a really good deal.
Front desk was friendly and helpful on arrival but a little grumpy in the AM but overall one of the best I've experienced this price range. Great job My place!!!

I cancelled my reservation when the interstate to get there was closed due to winter weather. MyPlace refused to reimburse me and the manager not friendly or cooperative. I called hotels.com and the rep was nice and tried to help. MyPlace manager flat out lied that i didnt cancel, and i have a email confirming the cancellation. Still mo luck getti g reimbursed. I will never ever stay at a MyPlace hotel and If i dont get reimbursed i will never use hotels.com again.

One issue, I had a 'do not disturb' sign on the door, and Housekeeping began knocking on the door, startled me. I did notify the front desk and it did not happen again. I put the sign on the door to avoid just that situation. Please educate the staff about the privacy given with that sign posted.
