Room ran about $100 first part of May; however, fitted sheet kept falling off the bed in the middle of the night and bed cover was not very appealing for comfort. Kleenex box fell right out of the wall. Hair left in the shower drain and it was stuck to the walls. Outlet missing cover. Curtain rod broken and pieces left in the room.

The other room we had, the TV was broken and the bathroom door wouldn’t shut due to being broken all the way. Not the cleanest.

Hotel has clearly been doing renovation work during the winter season.
I wish the website would have been clear that it was doing so. Pool/hot tub was advertised as open on one webpage and closed from March-April 30th on another. We arrived on May 1 staying until May 3rd and the pool/ hot tub was still unread to be used.

It was an adorable, historical hotel. Yes, some of it was older, but everything was clean. The staff was friendly. And despite us coming in at 9:30 to eat when the restaurant closed at 10:00, they still were friendly and served us.

I arrived about 11pm & the front desk attendant was new (she told me) & could not figure out how to check me in. I got to my room, used the bathroom right away-the toilet paper roll was empty, there were used towels hanging behind the door, there was a used plastic fork on the floor & the carpet definitely was not vacuumed. There were ants in the bathroom, too.

Room was nice and clean but had other issues with it. Broken floor tiles in bathroom, peeling paint and burnt out light bulbs. Also the pool was ridiculously cold. Nobody was in it so the hot tub was packed.

The hallways leading to the rooms were filthy! I can say they probably hadn’t been vacuumed for a week or two. Disgusting! There were a couple cleaning supplies left in our room. When you lifted the toilet seat there was still poop still on the rim. Only two of the lights worked. The TV did not work. Door open to room where cleaning cart is left and vacuum just pushed right inside door with cord just thrown to floor, dirty cleaning towels still on cart. Was gross! We came in late after a very long day of driving or we would have left! So slept and got up and left. Could not imagine eating breakfast there after we saw how dirty the establishment was - wouldn’t have dared eat the food! Would never recommend anyone stay here until many upgrades done to cleanliness and maintenance of facility!

My brand-new pair of prescription Meta Sunglasses were stolen during my stay, on April 22, 2026, most likely by a Governor’s Inn employee or employees. Housekeeping staff would be my presumption. I do not recommend staying here unless you have nothing of value to lose.

The hot tub was not hot at all. The door seal was terrible so stuff blew in under the door and floor was gritty. Toilet was not adult sized and bathroom needed work. Beds were well used not comfortable. Would not stay again.

The pillows were hard and uncomfortable, air conditioner was moldy the change filter light was on, let front staff know the comment was oh that’s horrible. The window was open when we checked in, couldn’t close it because it was off the tracks of the window crank. This property is very dated. Over all the room was not clean I am guessing the bedding was the only clean thing in that room.

Awful place!!!! Smoke alarm hanging off the ceiling. RUDE staff/front desk. Trash never taken out in three night stay. Toilet became \"clogged\" when we werent even in the room, or near the motel. When we notified front desk, he said \"what do you want me to do about it\" and offered no plunger. We had to go pay for one ourselves. Never again!!!!!

Came to town for the St. Paddy's dart tournament. The first room they put us in was not clean at all. There was a lot of trash left behind, towels all over in the bathroom floor and the beds looked like they were recently laid in. I immediately went downstairs to have them fix it... they claimed the room was listed as clean and I assured them it was not.... and they did eventually fix it. The next room they put us in didn't have a chair for the desk, nor did it even have a fridge. Every other room that we seen had the necessities that I described above so I found that odd, but I decided to pick and choose my battles because I had already gone downstairs once to complain. THEN AT 1:30AM I WAS BROUGHT OUT OF A DEEP SLEEP BY SOME D BAG BANGING ON THE WALL SO HARD THAT IT MADE THE HEADBOARD OF MY BED RATTLE. I called the front desk immediately to complain. Front desk clerk didn't seem like they cared. I'd rather spend a few extra dollars to get all of the room necessities and a pool that actually works instead of staying in a run down hole in the wall.

The breakfast food choices was limited. Lots of fruit flies flying. No pool or hot tub available. They were closed. Sharp metal was found sticking up in middle of the room carpet and mentioned to the front desk. Nearly cut myself with this sharp metal while wearing socks walking on the carpet. The room was cool and drafty for winter. We used to love this place, but it has not been warm and welcoming like it used to be. Quality had gone down.

Incident. Checked in a little early. No Problem. Moved into the room. Left for several hours. When we returned the dead bolt for the room was engaged. supposedly the only way it can be engaged is from in the room. I took maybe 15 mins. for the desk guy to determine the problem and find the bypass key to let us in. I gave the staff points for early checkin and getting us in to our room.

The staff were amazing at this hotel. It was also nice that the room we had was not over other rooms and with a large family that was great. The only thing I didn't like was how thin the windows were as you could hear all the cars outside day and night plus it was drafty. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay here.

The room condition was less than desirable. Thenceiling joint tape above one of the beds was failing down. One of the matresses was colapsed and should be replaced. The in-room iron failed to emit steam. The shower wand was being held up by old hair ties vice using wand clips. The shower curtain wasn't long enough and flooded the batheroom when using the shower. The in-room air conditioner/heater cycled excessively.

The breakfast room mini fridge needs to be kept at a cooler temperature (40F max). The breakfast room microwave is filthy.

The exercise room carpet needs to.be vacuumed and the room.needs to be cleaned and generally dusted.

The hot tub, the main reason we reserved a room for this hotel, wasn't even working. So fixt that.

Heater in room was very noisy, very difficult to get and stay asleep.
Bathroom sink faucet was really hard to open and close.

The room was fine, however the pool and hot tube area is in dire need of revamping.. floaties from the falling ceiling debris, looks like its not been cleaned in forever.. hot tub doesn't work, not surprising considering the entire area looks to be in disrepair, if you need the disability sling , don't come here.. I guarantee it doesn't work .. wires were pulled out and hanging.. hot tub timer hanging out of the wall.. , I was actually pretty shocked at the appearance of the pool area. Limited seating also full of whatever is falling off the ceiling. Breakfast was good, had a decent variety.. overall it's an ok property but definitely one of the older motels in town , don't over pay for this place.

There was only 2 towels in the room, which the were more than willing to have us come get more. So for a one or two night fishing trip, it’s fine. Neither Expedia (where I booked) nor the front desk clerk told us the pool was closed. When I checked in, I said, “we booked this hotel for the pool”. He didn’t mention it was out. We four changed into swimming suits and went down to the pool which wasn’t available, only the hot tub. In the heat of summer, choosing a higher price for a pool was a major disappointment. We had searched and found a local water park several miles away. We also reserved the room as four, only two towels in the bathroom, two hand towels and washcloths by the sink. Won’t be going back and I do not recommend

The floor was dirty every morning in the breakfast hall. The only reason they did clean it was by fourth day of us being there the same Cheerios and Fruit Loops were on the floor and I said something to the front desk person. There were sugar ants in our bathroom. There was only one towel and one washcloth offered in our bathroom at check-in. I was told that the swimming pool would be in service earlier in the week when we got there. It was not, there was a huge maintenance sign on the door instead. Breakfast was terrible and everything would not pass health code if there was an inspection. I had to always ask for bananas or cream cheese every morning since there were none replaced every morning for breakfast. The front office did not seem to care at all and blamed everything on the owners.

It got the job done, but cleanliness left something to be desired both inside and outside the room. Pros: comfortable bed, decent shower. Cons: the room floor clearing hadn't been vacuumed as I continually step on small chucks of \"something\" and the overall condition of the hotel did not warrant the price of the room Also, the front desk staffed seemed annoyed that I asked a couple of basic questions like where on the hotel map the room was and if there were any other entry doors closer to the room. Would not stay here again.
