I had a great time staying at Plaza Fuyo Hotel, literally felt like staying at home 👍. The kitchen was a plus point. Everything was clean, neat with Japanese precision and harmony. The staff were friendly and kind. The location of the hotel is perfect - in a relatively quiet neighborhood, yet, walking distance to central Fukuoka. Ideal hotel stay for a family and those seeking quietness.

The japanese room we booked was spacious and we appreciate that there's bottled water provides daily even if we didn't consume the previous bottles unlike in hotels where if you don't consume, they don't replenish or is a one time complimentary drinks.

Daily cleaning was thorough. Unfortunately, because it's a family run business, the tatami had some stains from being soiled previously which some people would mind. However, given the price of the stay, can't complain.

The futon is a little thin if you're not used to sleeping oj the ground but I'm sure you can request for extra layers from the front desk if needed.

There's lots of highly rated restaurants just right on the stretch where the hotel is, but requires advanced booking. Highly recommend checking out this yakitori place (博多とりかわ琥珀の月) Hakata Torikawa Kohatsu No Tsuki. Bar/high chairs only, takes up to a max of 8-9 pax. I reserved 1-2 months in advance with the help of my Japanese friend.

It's a decent place to stay for a few nights. Layout of the room is more like a studio amd a lot more spacious than your normal hotel room. Laundromat is available and also free coffee and tea in the morning. While furnishings is not in pristine condition, its fine and you'll have a decent stay.

Area is extremely safe with a variety of eateries, shopping, convenience stores and Hakata’s famous Yatai food stalls. I would definitely stay at the Plaza Furo Hotel for future Fukuoka visits.

Good choice for a stay in Hakata Ward

Great neighborhood with easy transportation options. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was more of an apartment and much more than anticipated! Lots of space! There are croissants and coffee/tea for the morning, but with a fridge and kitchen you can do what you want. Not a modern hotel, however very comfortable and well appointed.

Surprisingly, they allowed for early check-in while typically it may not be in common. They were quite accommodating and allowed for me to leave my luggage with them until my flight.

The room is quite spacious as it was an apartment style which allowed for cooking for those who may be interested. It is a little farther to Tenjin area, but walkable if you don't mind a 20 minute walk.

Good Value and Exceptional Staff

Our room was spacious and came with a small kitchen. The hotel is on the same street as several restaurants, including a very good ramen place. But what made our stay more memorable was the service which we got from Kaori
at the front desk. She went above and beyond to help us find the sights and restaurants on our list. She was always cheerful and made us feel like we were dealing with a personal friend.

I got a Japanese room with a private onsen, though it’s more like a bathtub but it’s very well equipped n is a surprise. When you expect nothing at this price, it’s clean, it provide free coffee in the morning, it could reach any where within 15 mins walk, n a car rental right at the corner.

Couldn't sleep because of noise from bars

I had stayed at this hotel one night a week previously and loved it. Very reasonable, immaculately clean and friendly staff - and quiet. My second stay was ruined because of all the street noise, which didn't end until about 2 a.m. The hotel is located on a cool little street with many bars and restaurants - interesting, not sleazy. The problem is that their patrons can get very loud. On the night in question, it was impossible to sleep in my second floor room until the early hours of the morning. Earplugs might have helped, but they should not be a required in a decent hotel. Although I loved everything else about this hotel, I will not stay there again.

On first impressions room won't be impressive, it is very white. Can appear simple but need to take into account that it is an apartment. I really settled in here, stayed for a week and it started to feel like home. The apartment was very spacious and bathroom and shower big and clean. Great water pressure. The owners are very friendly and helpful, they provide candy at the counter and some token french breads and coffee machine for free in morning was a nice extra touch on my visit. Hotel is on a street filled with restaurant and bars, no noise problem. JR line does not come close to hotel, will have to use local train or bus from main station or walk 20mins. Easy to walk to canal city.

I stayed 9 nights in basically a self contained apartment/flat I didn't find it noisy in any way like some reviews I read before I went. There's some nice restaurants on the doorstep. The Yakiniku place was good. But just a ten minutes or so walk to Tenjin or Daimiyo. I will be staying again for sure.

First Time in Fukuoka

The Hotel is a quiet and well situated under a 10 minute walk from Fukuoka (Tenjin) station and the underground shopping and stations. Canal City is approx 20 minute walk but could be less for the speedy, lovely patisserie on-route (well worth the visit) It is clean and the staff are lovely and if your Japanese is not great, they speak pretty good English. The room has a separate kitchen and living room / bedroom. the main room is quite spacious and we didn't feel cramped at any point. The bathroom is a wet room with Japanese bath, nice and deep, the sit-down shower is normal for the area. The toilet is western style with a warming seat, note the toilet slippers! We felt the room was good value for the daily cleaning and towel changes.

The hotel also accepted post for me ahead of our stay for tickets to activities that were pre-booked.

The Room was quite large. Some hotels which is located nearby Tenjin normally provides a half size of this room. Very comportable and convenient for 2 nights. Staffs were barely shown at the robby but it wasn't bothering me.

It's in th the middle of the bar district, which makes it a bit noisy, but means you can get an amazing variety of food and entertainment. For anyone who doesn't know what traditional Japanese bars are this is perfect, and have enough sake & sho chu and the noise won't bother you.

The hotel's location is ideal. Metro stop Yakuni is only 2 blocks away, and there are several bus stops a few steps away. The room was clean and staff was very helpful and friendly. We only had cups of tea/coffee and a piece of bread for breakfast, but it's not a problem at all due to convenience stores are very close by. We could easily add more to our daily breakfast according to our preference. The only negative thing about this hotel was that the wall was very thin, thus, we could easily hear some noises when our neighbours were moving around in their rooms. It was also very closed to a street full of nice restaurants where late diners' conversation were part of our night time story.

I chose to stay here because it was within close walking distance of a live music venue I was going to. It is close to the Watanabedori subway station. The room was clean and comfortable and was bigger and had more facilities than I expected. The only downside was the noise from the street outside at night.

Fantastic location. Very good and polite reception. Even though their English was not good, their eagerness to help gain the good rating on service. Around 15mins walk from Tenjin Station but it is just 5mins walk from Yakuin Subway Station. Quite noisy at night due to many restaurants along the street but it doesn't really impact me for a good sleep. I will stay there again.

The hotel is located about 20mins walk from Hakata station and 15mins walk from Tenjin. The hotel is down a quiet sidestreet and as a result it's very quiet a night. The surrounding area has everything, from food to convenience stores within 5mins walk. There is also a subway stop 5mins away. A taxi from Hakata station will cost approximately 1500yen. The hotel is fantastic, you get a self contained studio flat with a small kitchen and a double bed alongside a decent size bathroom. While the internet needs a lan port to work you are able to get a router from reception. I cannot recommend this enough for anyone spending time in Fukuoka.

The apartment was really big compared to other Japanese rentals. Very clean with all the amenities. My only dislike was there are 3 bars and several restaurants nearby and it can be quite noisy if you're a light sleeper. It didn't bother me so much.

The hotel is near the Watanabedori subway station. Make sure to take exit 1. Turn left at the first major crossing and left at the second small street. Its on the left side of the street. This is on the Kuko Line. There is a long walk to get from Tenjin Station to Tenjin Minami Station which is the station before Watanabedori. Be advised this can being extra tiring after a day to sightseeing or standing during a long concert.

I had a good experience staying here. One of the staff was really helpful and friendly, giving me directions and recommendations on places to go or places to avoid due to the weather. The rooms were very clean, well-maintained and the bathroom was great. The hotel is located a few stops by bus from Hakata station and there's a really delicious ramen shop just next door. The Lawson 100yen shop around the corner was really convenient as well.

This was a decently priced hotel in a good location that served our needs. The place was clean and although it didn't say Plaza Fuyo Hotel outside it was relatively easy to spot if you knew that the logo was a red tribal looking thing. The front desk was always helpful in answering any questions (English wasn't the best but they tried) but the only potential negative was when we checked out we wanted to take the ferry at Hakata port and they thought we wanted to go to the airport... we caught the taxi driver in time though to take us to the dock with time to spare.

I stayed for one night on 8th June 2014. It was very nice deal considering the price and facilities in the hotel. Bathroom was very nice and room have even cooking facility including induction cook, utensils, refrigerator and microwave. Room is bigger considering the price and Japan standard. 가족여행에 강추합니다.

처음부터 끝까지 최고의 여행이었습니다. 가족 1인이 추가될 수 있는 상황이라 메세지를 많이 보내게 되었는데 프론트에 계신 분께서 빠른 답신을 주셨었는데 체크인 할 때 제가 메세지를 드렸던 직원입니다. 하면서 인사주셨는데 너무 반가웠습니다. 운이 좋게 방이 미리 청소되어있었다고 하셔서 이른 체크인도 가능했습니다.

영어를 못하시는 것 같았는데 일본어로도 충분히 소통이 가능하였고, 저희집 아이들도 안내를 다 알아들었다고 합니다. 언어는 참 신기합니다. ^^

카드키가 아닌 열쇠인데 그것조차 너무 감성있었고, 다다미방에 바닥에서 자는게 너무 허리아프지 않을까 걱정했는데 그부분도 전혀 무리가 없었습니다.

방은 넓고, 욕실은 편하고, 키친도 좋았습니다. 아침에 마실 수 있는 커피도 너무 좋았어요.
주변에 sunny 마트에 가서 와규사다가 고기도 구워먹었습니다.

방음에 대한 부분이 문제가 있긴 했는데 후쿠오카 여행 특성상 워낙 많이 걷고 돌아다니다 보니 '소음이 들린다....' 고 생각하면서 아주 잘 잤습니다.

주변에 유명한 우동 맛집이 있는데, 정말 맛있고 친절하시고요.
역이 아주 가깝거나 공항과 연결성이 좋은 것은 아니지만 어차피 택시로 이동을 많이 할 상황이었어서 여러모로 최고의 숙소였습니다.

아참 마지막으로 암막커튼이 없어서 늦잠을 자야하는 여행객이라면 조금 불편할 수 있습니다. 저희는 버스투어 가야해서 일찍 일어나야했기때문에 이마저도 최고였습니다^^

아주아주 솔직한 후기

평소 청소를 구석구석 살펴보시기만 했어도 발견하고
체크인전 치웠을만한 ”어떤 것“을 발견했었습니다
저는 비성수기 1박에 6만원꼴로 지급했지만
10만원넘어가는 가격으로 지급했었으면 정말 속상하고
화날뻔했습니다 사과는 받았지만 사과는 누구나 쉽게 몇번이고 할수있는것이라 생각해요
앞으로가 중요한것이죠 보이는것만 청소하는것아닌
매일 새로운 손님이 객실을쓸때마다 구석구석 살펴
깨끗히하는것만이 청소부의 일이라 생각하고
그런 교육을 사장님과 다른 직원분들이 철저히 시키는것이 당연하다 생각합니다 왜냐면 건물이 오래된것과는 상관없이 그걸 발견하는순간 정말 청결하지 않았거든요

부엌사용하실분은 식기.접시몇개있으니 미니수세미.세제 챙겨가시면 좋을거같습니다 그외 위치도 조용한 뒷동네쪽이고 좋았습니다 다들 친절하시긴했으나 문의사항이나 여쭙고 싶은게 있으시다면 밤보다는 여사장님이계시는 아침 이른오후를 추천드립니다

숙소주변 먹거리가게도 꽤있고 잘살펴보면 위치는 참괜찮네요 메모붙인 사진은 읽으실수있으신 분이면
해석 가능하실거에요 뭘본건지 적혀있습니다
앞으로 주의하시겠다고 하셨으니 이런일 다시는없겠죠!
