Front desk staff was a little curt, but polite. Free drink was a nice surprise and room was clean and perfect for my short stay. The location was convenient, maybe a little interesting of a walk cause it was more residential. Great for the price, definitely my pick for a return trip.

The only 2 things I didn't like is the staff cleaned m'y room whitout me asking. I know it's good intention but I'm not confortable with people going in my room whitout knowing. Laundry machine are not good, the iron I used was not working very well.

Room was clean and seemed to be in good order. Though I was only there one night, the hotel appears to have plenty of things to do in common areas. Location of the hotel was great if you're hanging out in Tenjin. Check out is at 11am so I expected the rooms to be quiet until at least 10:30, but someone was running a vacuum or something outside my room at 9:30-10:00ish which woke me up earlier than I wanted. Had to wait about 5 minutes to check out because no one was at the desk even though it was right before final checkout time.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are really small but the bathrooms are really clean and have this great 2 headed shower. 1 is a waterfall head and the other is a wand. Also the rooms hallway were motion activated. They also have laundry which was really nice not bring home a bunch of dirty laundry.

The rooftop bar was impressive. It's between Tenjin Station and Yakuin Station, so it's good for out-of-town travel. And it's nice that Don Quixote and Matsumoto Tsuyoshi drug stores are within a 5-minute walk. Convenience stores are also best located with Lawson Family Mart 7-Eleven within a 3-minute walk.

This was a nice property.I had 2 issues. First one is there was no fridge in the room and second issue was the size of the rooms. These are the smallest I have ever been in. If I was travelling by myself, it probably would be OK. The common space was great!

Really lovely stay in a relaxed and calm environment. The shared facilities are great and the room was comfortable. We particularly appreciated the large storage space under the bed that fit our two large suitcases well. Well sited for local amenities.

Reminded us of Marriott's Moxy Hotel. Reception on 3rd floor of a building with other businesses and offices. Lounge-y space with bar at reception with kitchen and laundry for guest use. Small room, only room for one person to walk around in room. Many backpackers and young families.

Great and hip hotel located near a plethora of fine dining cuisine. The hotel itself is very artsy and expressive complete with a shared kitchen and laundry services along with a bar all on the reception floor which is located on the 3rd floor. The room was cleaned and well designed, one of the best parts was the blackout curtains!

Room is small (albeit normal for the location and price) but clean and tidy. The common area with kitchen is a great feature (given the small room size). Conveniently located (walkable to both Tenjin stations, though not right next door) with lots of eateries and convenient stores nearby. We enjoyed the stay.

We arranged a luggage forwarding service with the front desk to our next hotel. We told them specifically it needed to arrive on 10/29 as we were leaving the next property early on 10/30. The luggage isn’t coming until 10/30 now because no date was specified on our paperwork by the front desk. There is no way for us to re deliver. We now have to wait at the hotel until our luggage arrives missing our scheduled bus and getting to our next destination late which in turn as cost us more and missing out on important time we have left on our vacation. Not happy.

The room is not the most spacious as is the case for most Japanese business hotels, but for the size of the room bathroom was big enough that I didn't need to crouch for anything. Conveniently located and very quite in the evening.

Great Location

We booked the rooms at a higher rate than usual due to the high demand for public holidays. It's a bit expensive for a space this small. Other than that, the experience is pretty good.
Location is perfect - it's quiet enough where there's a park right out of the window, but 2 mins walk to many nice cafes and restaurants. 5 mins walk to the busiest part of the city.

A great value for the price! Amenities were spot on. Laundry was okay but took some time. The bar at the roof overlooking the city looked good and had a nice view. There was a kitchen on the 3rd floor if needed, and a shared refrigerator.
The room was a no frills kind of space where the space was minimalist and utilized smartly.
My room had a view of a parking onramp, and had light coming in the window in the mornings. The staff could use some interaction skills with internationals, but was very courteous.

Good Lyf In Fukuoka

Lyf Tenjin is an amazing stay if traveling solo or with close friend/partner. Housed in a gorgeous building that is oozing trendy vibes. Size of room is not too big but comfortable. I got the room with the balcony located on the high floor and that is very nice and comfy although it’s a single bed arrangement. Shower head pressure was good and there is a rain shower as well. Condition of shower curtains not so great but does the job. The coin Washer/dryer in common area (lobby) are in excellent condition. Very reasonably priced as compared to external one offer right next to the hotel. Walk to subway station is about 10 mins with loads to shop along the way. Walkable to Hakata (about 30 mins) if you are up for it and is doable. Overall Lyf Tenjin is an excellent option.

Quite good overall. The best part in staying at LYF Fukuoka Tenjin Hotel was that they organised free activities for residents / room guests. There's a free walking tour of Fukuoka on 9 May 2024 for room guests , and a wine tastings event on 11 May 2024. LYF Fukuoka Tenjin should continue having such activities for room guests as it then differentiate itself from other hotels.

However not very easy to get to the hotel as most taxi drivers are not familiar with this hotel or its location. And taxi ride from the airport directly to the hotel is within JPY3,000, which is not expensive. And, location probably not as convenient as hotels in Hakata.

Having said this, overall, it is quite good.

Conveniently located between Nishitetsu (Tenjin) and Yakuin stations. Very near Mitsukoshi and Daimaru. 20 minute walk to Canal City/Kushida Shrine/Kawabata. Loads of small restaurants all around. Better than a budget hotel in the same price range because of well-thought-out additional in-house facilities (shared) such as the full kitchen and laundry plus free essentials on a needs basis. Great for a longer stay (17 days) combining work and leisure. Room was bright, clean and quiet - we opted for the twin with balcony for extra space instead of the double, but a double would be fine for a short stay.

Rooms are somewhat on the small side, even tho we got the biggest one with the balcony. We had to open our briefcase in front of the door, blocking access to enter or leave.
No shelf in the bathroom.
Great common lounge for relaxing or working. Plenty of seats and 2 booths. Shared kitchen was decent are useful to have to make a quick cup noodle in the middle of the night.
Great stay nonetheless.

A very modern hotel with a unique atmosphere in the very heart of the Tenjin area. Tenjin Station is within walking distance with many shops and eateries. The hotel room was clean and cozy. My room had a terrace with a nice view. Shared spaces provided kitchen facilities, coin-operated laundry facilities and access to workspace. The hotel staff were very helpful and spoke English.

Hotel was very neat and clean, for its price it surpasses all my expectations by far. The cleanliness of it was spotless and well taken care of. The looks of the hotel overall are very appealing and decorative. The staff were very friendly and welcoming as well has helpful, I felt very delighted to be in their hotel. The Hotel is super cute, the staff is super friendly the hotel has a common area for all residents to interact with each other if you wish to. There’s a rooftop bar available as well, they also sell food. The hotel is comfortable, modern, stylish and very instagramable Lol
Accessible location, the area around it is quiet but one block away there’s a restaurant where a lot of people seem to interact. And its just a couple blocks away from a shopping strip.

この度初めて利用させていただきました。立地、内装には全く不満はありませんでしたが、部屋はシャワーのみ、大浴場もなく、シェアキッチンであった為、若い人向きなホテルであったように感じました。ホテルの説明をしっかり読んでいたら、書いてあったんですけどね。
スタッフさんはとってもラフな感じでしたが、嫌な感じはなかったです。お値段の高いホテルとは少し違う感じはあります。
やはり前にも書きましたが、若い人、インバウンドの人向けかなぁと思います。
でも楽しい福岡旅行になりました。ありがとうございました。
