stayed with my family for three nights and truly enjoyed the experience. The area is lovely, the staff were incredibly helpful, and the breakfast menu was excellent. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed and has a calm, serene atmosphere.

We had a great experience, staff is great, very clean and would highly recommend it. Harvy gave a great Coffee presentation. Diego is a margarita specialist. Petrito is a great nature guide, best tour ever highly recommend the rafting safari safari. Jose is a great server. All staff made sure that there was no pineapple and guava for my spouse. Much appreciated

Sticlers on thier rules. We had a delay on our flights and wanted to shift our 3 days one day but they wouldn't do it without penalty. The hotel was fairly empty so it shouldn't have been a problem. We had to forfeit our first day because of thier unwillingness to help us out in a bad situation.

Amazing! It's gorgeous all around property, with very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived from La Fortuna late afternoon on spare tire and they right away offer to take care of that for us! They took tire to shop and got in fixed and replaced by the time we were ready to go to dinner! Saved our day! Breakfast was excellent and ambient so beautiful. So many amenities and activities to enjoy on site, for both relaxing and active time.

This resort is ideally located 20mins from La Fortuna and avoids the rush and touristy feeling .. gives total relaxation ..

The staff is outstanding and the food at Kitara is top caliber. Highly recommend this place and the staff - chef Alex, Michael and Bryan managers , Harvy , Albert , Diego gave us a royal treat !!

Thank you Hamilton Leisure for placing customers first !! This was one of our best vacations .. we are fully recharged.

There needs to be more direction and communication. We were dropped off the first night in the dark in front of our building with no clue where to go. Once we found our room (no easy task) there was nothing to tell us what was going on/offered or where to go. Why not have an in room manual? A map? A QR link?

I watched so many different species of small birds.
Outside of my room was able to see the monkeys in the morning. Beautiful landscaping.

This was my third trip to Costa Rica, and because I had such great experiences the first two times I wondered if this one was going to live up to the fantasy I have created in my mind. I must say, I was delighted with every aspect of this trip. The stay at Tilajari was more than I could have dreamed of. When we arrived, we were greeted by Maureen. She was extremely helpful and gave us information on dinner, the eco tour held in the morning, and the location of the room. During our visit, the reception staff, including Maureen, Gustavo, and Albin, were immensely helpful in providing information about activities at and away from the property.
The property was natural and beautifully maintained. Our room consisted of two beds and overlooked the river. The overall impression of the room is it was beautifully furnished and well maintained. The wood ceilings were beautiful. There was a nicely sized balcony overlooking the river. It was a beautiful place to enjoy a bottle of wine and relax after a long day. The stone floor and the windows allowing the transfer of fresh air in the bathroom gave a spa aesthetic. Lucia did a wonderful job with housekeeping.
We had several meals at the restaurant and indulged in a variety of drinks from the bar. Restaurant Manager Bryan was very welcoming, and the service received was impeccable. Everyone took the time to explain available items to us and gave us numerous recommendations inspiring us to explore new drinks and food items.

Wow, it’s a great gem. Asked for the upgrade and got it. Room was immaculate. Pool was clean and they are renovating the hot tub/spa area. That will be amazing and like new in a couple of weeks. Food was outstanding also.

Fair hotel, poor service. Had to go to front desk twice to get a working key. Power outage hit hotel, they didnt alert guests, have no emergency lighting, nothing. Very poor information about the power when it would be on, where we could go for power etc.

The hotel is beautiful and excellent but we pay to much money for nights because they charge me the two kids when I did the booking for Expedia I did two adult and two kids and only said was two adults and total was 230 each night I will never use Expedia again I call Expedia and they talk very aggressive for the phone.

We enjoyed our stay at the Tilajari hotel! The property is nice, we saw beautiful birds, iguanas and howler monkeys all onsite! We also did horseback riding - Bryan was our guide with the horses and he was really great, very friendly and kind.

We drove into La Fortuna / Arenal each of the three days to do activities and it was a bit of a drive - about 40-50 minutes to the different activities (waterfall, hanging bridges, volcano park), so I would stay closer next time or recommend others to do so if they don’t want a far drive.

We did have a few hiccups at the property. The wifi in our room only worked if you stood directly next to the window. We called staff about it three times, as we had to work while we were there but they were unable to help/fix it. Also - at breakfast I found a piece of metal in my eggs (they said likely from a cleaning brush), the staff did apologize for this.

It’s a great place to stay. The only issue my wife and I had were the pillows were overstuffed and uncomfortable to sleep on. Otherwise the property, location, food etc. were all excellent. We enjoyed our stay and when visiting the Arenal/La Fortuna area of Costa Rica we would stay there again.

My husband and I stayed at Tilajari Hotel Resort & Conference Center for one night to celebrate his birthday, and overall, we had a pleasant experience. The property is beautiful, with a kind of vintage charm surrounded by lush greenery that made our stay feel serene and relaxing. One of the highlights was the jacuzzi, which was incredibly soothing after a long day.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to use the pool or tennis courts due to heavy rain, but we were prepared for that since it’s just the season. Despite the weather, the grounds remained stunning.

The staff at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. A special thanks to Gustavo, who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The restaurant staff were also kind, although the food wasn’t the highlight of our stay.

That said, I do have to caution future guests—this hotel does not offer room service. I had planned a special surprise for my husband with a bottle of wine and cake in our room after enjoying the jacuzzi, but the staff couldn’t accommodate my request. If you’re considering Tilajari for a special occasion and need room service, you might want to rethink your plans.

Pool was green, looked dirty and disgusting, even though the pool guy said to us it was safe to use.

The food at the restaurant is not even close to the quality it should have for the price they charge for it. It’s expensive and not that good.

For the rest, rooms and sorrounding areas were clean and well maintained.

El hotel es demasiado bonito y grande. Muy bien cuidado. Es placentero solo el hecho de estar ahí y caminar por el hotel. El restaurante es muy rico y el personal muy atento. La ducha es muy rica. La piscina es grande y el jacuzzi también y con agua caliente. La limpieza en general es muy buena. Tiene bonitas vistas al rio. Sin embargo, el internet y la televisión por cable no son los mejores, la imagen de la TV se congela.

The room we were originally given didn’t have beds enough for 5 people as advertised. The two beds were infested with bed bugs. We went back to registration, were given a new room in a much nicer part of the complex. The first room had evidence of bed bugs as well. We ended up with a different two rooms that had a few black flecks on the mattress pads but we settled for that for the night. The grounds looked beautiful but we didn’t stay long enough to explore those. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
