The Room was self contained, clean and tidy.
Bed was comfortable. Asked for another blanket because I was cold. Was no problem at all.

The Door was hard to open and close.
But had 3 locks for the door.

Its a nice place with a bit of a retro feel. They also don't require a 3 night minimum! Just far enough away from the boardwalk to keep it quiet. Close enough to walk or bike up onto the boardwalk.

The location is fantastic - The accommodations were fine, nothing fancy, but there were ants on the counter and at least one on my bed. I didn't like that -- the front desk refunded 20% of the bill, but I would have rather had an ant free room.

The room was filthy. Dust all over. Grease on the tiny little stove that had clearly not been clean. Only the bathroom light and light in back of room workerd. The fan and lamp both did nothing. The sink was slow to drain, the toilet was slow to flush and needed to have the handle held to fully empty. Absolutely horrible. Even the safety chain on the door was practically rusted though.

Room was very clean. Staff were friendly . The one thing I didn’t like is that you had to request your room to be cleaned a day ahead. I think the room should be cleaned daily. Bed was comfortable. Good Wi-Fi . Bathrooms are small and the sink is on the outside of the bathroom. Pool area was clean but the lounge chairs and tables can use a power wash. Parking was a little tricky. I had to park on the street two nights as there wasn’t enough space in the lot. Otherwise it was a very decent stay if you’re on a budget.

Dans ce secteur la plage est longue, un bon 10/15 min pour s'y rendre à pieds. Pour se rendre au bout du BoardWalk 5 min. Chambres pas propre (nettoient avec un balais seulement, pas de moppe). Piscine avec motton de cheveux. Cuisinette intéressant mais une chance qu'on avait 3 chambres pour se partager la vaisselle et équipement. Et que j'avais des ustensiles dans mon auto aussi. Savon a vaisselle dans 1 des 3 chambres seulement. Faut courir après les serviettes. Ne font pas de ménage ni quotidien ni aux 2-3 jours. Juste aucun ménage/suivi. Stationnement étroit par endroit, un papi m'a reculé dedans...Accueil courtois au jour 1. Poubelles débordent dehors et je suis pas certaine que le tri (recyclage) soit respecté...

Our room door got stuck, the dead bolt broke, and I had to call 911 to be freed from the room. There was no phone in the room to reach the front desk and there was no escape other than the front door. This hotel should undergo a renovation and a major safety inspection. I can not say anything good about the hotel other than the night security guard was very helpful and refunded my money. I could not stay there--not even in another room.

WORST MOTEL EVER!

Our room was basically a closet! I do not know where to begin! Worst hotel room I have ever stayed in my life!
- The room was so small. Looked like it was added onto the building. My wife and I kept bumping into one another when we were walking around. I killed not 1 but 2 spiders. Ants on the sink. What a joke! The place was so disgusting! I have pictures but it is not loading.
- Toilet seat was loose
I got up and hit my head on the wall.
- We saw ants on the sink!
- Shower leaked
There was no holder to put the shampoo and soap!
- Only room with no chairs outside of our room.
- View was horrendous outside the window. It was a rundown building and down below was an alley with a dumpster that smelled horribly.
- My wife and I did not sleep the entirely night!
- The Ac unit was so loud and you only felt the cold air if you stood in front of it.
- The front door was not secure! We can see the light coming in from the outside. Did not feel safe at all!
- You could not watch tv because half the screen was blocked by the bathroom door when it opened.
- There was only 13 channels on the tv and 4 of them did not work! Some of the channels were frozen. Ridiculous!
It was not in hd.
- The bed was so uncomfortable. Did not get one second of sleep. My wife's back is killing her.
The whole place was disgusting. The owner should be embarrassed for having an establishment like that. The whole experience was a nightmare! My wife is so unhappy and upset! WE DESERVE TO BE REIMBURSED!!!

The room was shoved in a corner we had no chairs or balcony outside our door. Mold on the bathroom ceiling, no air ventilation besides opening window which didn’t help being 95 degrees outside. Although Chitu (front desk staff) was nice & Expedia offered no pre pay; our stay was not very relaxing.
We requested our room be cleaned by housekeeping each day we were there - and it was not visited by the cleaning staff, even once! I had to empty our garbages & put outside - and had to look for the staff to ask for towels.
The property is very outdated & in disrepair
It doesn’t look like they want to update the pool area or other common areas.
The grill did not work & the lobby area by the coffee machine was untidy & unsanitary, very sad and unacceptable. We paid well over $1000 + and did not get services comparable to that high fee.
The website is inaccurate & deceiving, sadly.

Only 1 positive - the shower was updated & the beds were comfortable. But the couch in our room was old & dirty
Our room looked liked it didn’t get painted since the building was built.

We deserve a partial refund.

The rooms were very small and looked nothing like the photos online. When we booked the place, the price advertised was different as opposed to when we checked in. The appliances were ragedy and definitely needs an updated service. The electrical outlet was hanging off and wasnt screwed to the wall. Also dont pay for insurance; we payed a $50 insurance fee and informed the lobby staff and their response was \"we dont know anything about that its not on us.\" Not to mention a friend had slept at our place and it was a $20 fee per night just to have them spend a night

I was pleasantly surprised with the Aztec. Honestly was looking for the cheapest room closest to the boardwalk for the 4th of July for a group trip and wasn’t expecting anything great, other than the bed to sleep in. My friends stayed somewhere directly off the boardwalk and honestly I was wayyyy happier with the Aztec. Free parking, the rooms were basically the same… only problem was we didn’t get all the TV channels but I also never complained to the staff so that’s on me. The pool was great, the outside patio for the rooms was perfect, our neighbors were friendly, the vibe was right… I didn’t feel as warm and welcomed at the “nicer” (read: more expensive) boardwalk hotel. I’d stay here EVERY time over somewhere directly on the boardwalk.

I booked this hotel last minute for one night during a holiday, so I wasn’t expecting luxury, but it did its job as a basic place to sleep and shower. For a short stay, it was fine, but there were a few issues that definitely need attention.

The bathroom was a bit of a letdown. There was no ventilation, which made it feel stuffy. The walls were in need of repair, and there wasn’t a towel bar to hang anything up. Also, no place to put shampoo, soap, or other toiletries in the shower—something as simple as a shelf would have made a big difference. Towels had a lot of lint on them, which covered us completely. We had to use a beach towel to wipe it all off. Not ideal.

The room felt a bit dingy and wasn’t super clean. The bed was fine, though a bit on the firm side, and the pillows were too flat. The layout was strange, especially in the bathroom—sitting on the toilet felt cramped, as you’re almost face-to-face with the wall. It was a corner room, so it seems they just tried to use up every inch of space.

The fridge worked well, which was a plus. The location was convenient, and the check-in staff was really friendly and helpful. The person at check-in gave great directions to the parking lot behind the building.

At checkout, there was no staff around, which felt a bit odd. I just left the key on the desk with another customer who was also checking out.

It worked for a one-night stay, but I wouldn't have been comfortable staying longer without those issues being fixed.

Rooms are crazy expensive this time of year. The room was very small for the price, but it was clean and the air conditioner worked well. Those were my two biggest concerns. Manager at check-in was friendly and got my room key quickly. We needed a clean room to stay overnight for a birthday party we were attending and this room did the trick.

My husband and I took our two youngest kids to Wildwood for the first time for 4 nights/5 days and we wanted to pick a place with a nostalgic feel to when we were kids in the 90’s. The Aztec hit the mark perfectly! It isn’t anything wildly fancy, but it’s clean, safe, has your basic necessities, and is very charming. If you’re looking for all the bells and whistles, this isn’t where you want to stay, but if you’re looking for a laidback beach trip you’re hitting the nail perfectly on the head with this place! The room was well maintained and clean; the perfect size for our family. Having said that, I think once our kids are older it’d be an incredibly tight fit for the four of us. But for younger kids and a family looking for a cute, well priced motel that’s one block from the beach and located super close to a tasty ice cream shop, this place is perfect!

The gentlemen at the front desk were very helpful when we raised concerns however, there were multiple things that did not work - outlets, lamp (which they immediately replaced when it was brought to their attention), the initial room we were given was filthy - the floor was not mopped, the sheets were used as evidenced by stains left on them from the previous inhabitants, and the tub and shower curtain were visibly dirty and smelled so badly. When brought to the attention of the gentlemen at the front desk, we were given our option of the three rooms that were available. There was no issue that was not taken care of immediately. They could just use to maintain the rooms better and pay attention to cleanliness and that everything is functioning. Little details matter...

Sunny was very nice. He explained everything we needed to know. We didnt realize we were the only customers in the whole motel, so that was scary. I forgot to tell Sunny the lock on rm 111's door needs to be fixed. The sheets had a few stains, but were clean, but it still was making me feel a bit gross. The lobby had a real bad odor and I think it was coming from the cat on the wall.

This hotel is close to the boardwalk but it was very lackluster. The hotel room smelled like a basement, hair was on the bed and the bathroom definitely seen better days. I had to go to Walmart to purchase shower cleaner and Lysol. Had to wipe down everything thoroughly. The bed was hard and some of the worst sleep I had in my life. Parking lot is tiny. But the convenient factor is right near the end of the boardwalk and a pool.

I was shocked by the condition of the property. At some point upgrades were made, but they are definitely needed again. The cheap laminate floor is peeling. Wall patches are very visible (plywood nailed to wall). The door was possibly the original from 1960. The main ceiling light was simply removed with hardware visible. The bathroom was definitely from 1960. The sink was stained and the faucets were corroded. The linens were clean and beds comfortable, but we never got maid service on our 2-night stay. We also found a pair of abandoned shoes in the room. And the room STANK! There was no coffee maker and the lobby never bothered to make any while we were there...the coffee area was available but unstocked. This property is a complete disgrace. They date and switch rooms and charge you more money. I was told I was getting a penthouse suite for additional fees because the first room that I got which is called a two bedroom suite is not a bedroom. It’s a bedroom and a sofa with no doors. I called this facility. Realizing the mistake I was told I was supposed to get the penthouse which is what I needed to accommodate a closed door bedroom. I was told that was additional monies which we paid. My niece got there before me because of the family emergency and I was coming the next day which we notified the hotel of that was fine. She’s an adult when she got there two bedroom for the additional monies that they charge me for, it was in the middle of the heatwave on Friday night excruciating hot. We were supposed to be going to a beachfront resort place was disgustingly dirty so we had to use all the towels to sop up the water fans wasn’t working correction AC is working it just doesn’t get cold , when we try to leave, we were here for a big event which was already happening and we spent hours trying to get this fixed two days of that we were refunded on the Finally, after getting Expedia and the insurance company involved, they were willing to return the nights that we didn’t stay because of all these conditions We had to re-book a room getting a refund for the entire trip, which we should’ve Hoping that we get this back in someway from either Expedia or the insurance.

For a short 2-3 day trip is a good motel. It just had a slight smell of mold but I’ve been to worse. The floors were slippery but I didn’t mind as long as we were all wearing shoes/slippers. The pool was great my kids ages 14,8,7 really enjoyed it and it’s very close to the beach. You get what you pay here.

This motel was very convenient for us as it was very close to a lot of places we were going and didn’t have to drive a lot, there’s many food options and the beach isn’t far at all either, the pool was a plus as well! Just some things to note was that our lightbulb was out in our room lamp and we couldn’t close the bathroom door because the bed was too close and in the way . Other than that everything was good and we will be happy to stay again in the future!
