The property is in a generally poor condition clearly demonstrating the lack of a maintenance program. Walls show damage, light fittings need to be replaced carpet mats fraying and very poor, carpet, curtains, vanity in bathroom, all need replacing. Interior plastering and painting all need rather urgent attention.

Lovely hosts and good location. Bed configuration works well with queen and single in lounge area. Having an oven works well for a family wanting to make their own meals.

The decor is dated, and walls are thin. Thankfully our neighbors were quiet for the most part. Parking on site is a plenty, and in the summer the pool must be a great addition.

The body gel dispenser appears to be an ornament in the shower cabinet. It was always empty. We were provided with cakes of soap, which causes dry skin on some people including us.

I actually loved the room me and my son stayed in, had everything i needed kitchenet, sky and even had 3 single beds and a double and a out side pool. 2km away from town& a hop skip and jump to their main park. If i was to come back to Palmerston north this will be the motel me and my kids will stay at.

Basic Motel with everything required. Unfortunately the Motel made an error with our booking and instead of getting a studio spa unit I got a standard studio unit for the same price which was slightly annoying. We did like the Sky box so could pause and rewind which you don't get at all motels, but the Kitchen was very small with minimal basic utensils, very old stove, no salt or pepper. The toilet was put between a wall and the shower and as a big guy I couldn't fit on it properly - not good. The shower itself was good. The bed was relatively comfortable, room nice & dark when curtains were pulled and the fan was a welcome relief from the heat. Overall comfortable enough (except for the toilet) but a little underwhelming. We did swim in the pool but again this was underwhelming - Cloudy water, lots of broken tile surrounds, untidy gardens, broken pool cover. Better than no pool though given the heat!

Booked over 2 months in advance requesting a ground floor room, Arrived after 8 hour trip paid then was told we were up stairs. While offering to move us down the next day this did not suit as we had functions to attend during the day. We were too tired to look for another motel The poor girl on reception could not understand why we had been put up stairs. Will not be using this place again and will certainly tell everyone about this most unsatisfactory event. If I had pulled my stitches climbing the bloody stairs. The papers would have had a field day,.

The room rate was comparatively inexpensive and there was car parking. Bed was reasonably comfortable. However the leftover soft serve ice cream in the freezer and the cake of soap wedged and dried out in the soap dish in the shower was off-putting. Windows and doors cannot be left open at night so there is no ventilation. The shower control was unusual and the water heated beyond ‘warm’ (as indicated on the control) so I would recommend that children should not be left alone in the shower. The room was ok for a short stay, and reasonably convenient to shops etc.

Handy for townthe apartment is nice

Spacious 2 bedroom apt, well equipped with kitchenette. Nice garden in front with shady bench. The pool was rather murky, you couldnt see the bottom. Pity there was no a/c as it was a hot night, but rear twin bedroom was cooler.

Clean, tide and quiet the most important aspects.

We loved to visit the Museum of art, cience and History - Te Manawa.
The impressive Botanic Garden, specially the Rose Garden with the marvellous collection of roses.
The scenery of green mountains and windmills are fantastic!

Needs a bit of love, but the price is right.

Two adults, two kids. Staff were very friendly and easy going. That was the good part. Disappointing part was room 10. The ranch slider door onto the balcony doesn't seal which might be nice on a hot day but it's no good when the weather is cold. The panel heater functions but produces no heat whatsoever. The bed is really soft = roll together and really bad sleeping posture. We were unlucky enough to suffer a party a few rooms down which took quite a while to sort due to no staff being on site at approx 10:00pm. Once staff returned to site the issue was dealt with quickly. The shower is excellent! Not the most comfortable stay but the price was pretty reasonable so you shouldn't expect too much.

Arrived late on Friday night 9.45 pm and they let us check in late no problems.. friendly service and great conversation. Comfy bed, but small (double we used to queen). Didn't use kitchen much as we ate out. Bathroom was tidy. Very cosy room. All in all. Good place to sleep and shower. Didn't spend much time in room as we were out visiting

We had a luvly stay while catching up with friends. What was meant to be a 2 day stay ended up being a 5 day stay. Day 3 we couldn't return home due to flooding in Wellington. On day 4 we decided to take another couple of days break as our stay was so pleasant. Very economical stay. Luved having a kitchen. Will be stay again and will now become our preferred stay in Palmy Nth. This is a place worth staying. It's great for families, couples and people travelling on business.

Was pleasant enough and the guy that checked us I was very nice, but the place is very tired and run down. The pictures on the Internet did not reflect what we actually saw. While our room was clean, the bathroom was rather shabby and the shower didn't really work properly.
It could do with a makeover, as it is in a very good location and here is a lot of competition - there are a lot of other places to choose from.

Dirty and dusty. Not clean. Pubic hair from previous guests in shower. Door to kitchen doesn't close - it is blocked by stove. Dirty towel under the bed. Broken towel rail. Milk given to us was curdled - wouldn't even give it to a cat.

A very good central position which allowed us to leave the car and walk to Arena 2 (we are in our 70s). The motel had everything we required including a very comfortable bed. A pity about the grounds - dead shrubs, broken bbq which detracted.

A terrible experience.

I would never recommend this motel to anyone for many reasons which I have shared with many people to date. I can't believe the experience we had at the motel, the room smelt of smoke, there was mold on the bathroom walls, cobweds in the rooms and just dirty. The entire premises were untidy, weeds and rubbish scattered everywhere. Even the office smelt and the desk had leftover food all over it.

On arrival, they did not have my booking, lucky for me, I had the email. The whole kitchen needs updating, the bathroom looks like it has been recently updated, but the rose in the shower was cracked and a small jet of water sprayed out over the shower door flooding the bathmat and floor. Heater was so loud, you had to turn it off to talk to each other. Turned one of the lights on and blew the fuse. The Skywatch magazine was two months old. Bed had a dip in the middle causing roll together.

Great Service but motel needs dire maintenance.

The service was fast, welcoming and efficient, far exceeding many chain hotels. Parking was hassle free and right outside our room. The beds were very very comfortable rivaling the best however the room itself needed vast improvements which great effected our stay and review. Stains in the carpet, odd odour emanating from somewhere in the kitchen, the stove elements were covered in tatty foil, countertops and cupboards needed immediate updating and the Sky TV had only 2 channels available both with varying quality reception. The door was tricky to lock and the wifi was unreliable. The hotel itself and the grounds require massive maintenance and updating. Overall experience was mixed. Flawed accommodations with great customer services.
