This would have been the worst motel I have stayed in over the last 10 years. There was no reception, never saw anyone, was advised of my room via a text. Rusty handrails in the bathroom, the shower tray was bent and dangerous edge to trip over, there was a microwave but nothing to use to cook in it. Windows were missing latches. It did have good heating and the bed was comfortable and tv worked. it was cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for, but will not be back there

Stayed for 19 nights in the one bedroom. Staff I met or would see were always very friendly. Very close to bus routes and walking distance to various shopping. Quiet and secure. The plunge pool and sauna were a very nice amenity and it is well maintained so relaxing after a long day was always possible. The only thing I would say is where my room was is right next to the pool, and the gate going into and out of it would get kind of startling as it swings shut very loudly. Maybe get some kind of damper or buffer for it and it would be absolutely perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

The receptionist was rude during our stay. We upgraded our reservation from two adults to one adult and two children. Although we paid for the extra child, she did not provide us with additional towels or coffee and tea for the extra person. She also told us to get our milk from the supermarket. Would not recommend anyone wanting a peaceful night.

Smoke alarm went off at 4am waking both our kids due to a low battery, theres no extraction fan in the kitchen. Apart from that the host was super helpful and friendly the room is nice and has everything you need.

Cleanliness, presentable, had everything necessary for a short stay. Would definitely stay again.
Good location, Close to all services.
Only suggestion of improvement is the main entrance sliding door needs to be adjusted. Was not easy to lock or unlock from the inside.
Plus the sliding door from bedroom to bathroom needs to be attached to a fixed track on the floor as well as the top. It came off the top track a few times when it was pulled across to close it. The sliding door also moved & banged every time the door from the kitchen was opened into the bathroom. Minor details but very annoying. I would not request room 14 if I was staying again.

Only get milk for the first day of the stay . Get free tea coffee sugar and hot chocolate but no milk. I found that strange . It was convenient due to last minute booking . But for the price expected a little more . Check out is 10am , but was asked to leave by 9:30 . happy with our stay but won’t be back . We travel to Palmerston North often.

The property and location were good. My only criticism was we had no milk in our room, room 11 we got there at 5pm, went to the office which was closed, I called the number no reply, got a text message to text which I did, but no reply, I then called and texted again at 10pm we got back from dinner, which we then had to walk to the nearest service station to buy milk pretty disappointing as it let the rest of the stay down.

AVOID THIS MOTEL AT ALL COSTS!
Definitely the worst motel I've ever stayed in, booked for three nights but couldn't stand staying any longer than two nights, we tried to stay as long as we could but the whole place was dirty, definitely not clean at all, ants EVERYWHERE the sheets smelt really really bad and left us showing nonstop when we arrived home, it is also a very nosey place, there's a lot I could write but limited space. I do not reccomommend this place .

We were in only for a short time. Arrived in the dark and left early in the morning. Unit was open and ready for our arrival. We had been contacted by text to let us know which was ours so seamless arrival.
The unit was quite adequate for our purposes but not amazing. Bed was very comfortable.
Location in city is excellent. Would stay again.

Great value motel.

Very nice stay. Room was larger than expected and had a kitchenette. We made dinner there this saving even more money. Staff was friendly the next morning. Walkable to grocery and downtown. Could use a spruce up, seemed dated, but it is an older motel and it was quite cheap to stay

There was no one there for check in and had to text to be able to check in.
Then there was mouse poo in the bathroom and on the single bed.
The rubbish bin hadn't been emptied before our stay so no wonder there are mice.
Handbasin had terrible stains in it. Very dated and needs a complete overhaul.

For the money I spent this property suited my needs as I only needed a quick stay so wasn't wanting somewhere flash. This Motel is obviously more for those who need emergency accommodation as there are permanent residents. The room itself was adequate and had everything I required. Wouldn't stay again though.

Was quiet and comfortable. The rules of the motel were very prescriptive. In our 50 years of travelling this was the first time we have ever had the Motel manager knock on our door at just before 10.00 to remind us that we had to our by 10.00! We actually had our bags in our hands on the way out. We won’t be back!

The room was tidy enough, however the grounds were tired and weed-ridden.
The biggest issue we had was that our unit was between two others that were premanently occupied. Both occupants had dogs. There was a fair bit of noise as we were putting our kids to bed. We couldn't keep the doors open due to the dogs and noise and the aircon didn't work.
We received a text on the morning saying the reccepton would be closed that day and that we should just go to our room.
Not awesome over all.
