The room was large and well appointed. The canopy bed was something!
Do note that the location is up on the hill/mountain so you will most likely need transportation (e.g., taxi) to get there. You can easily find a taxi at Atami Station. I guess you can walk but it's pretty steep. Walking down is not a problem unless you have luggage in tow. We walked down the next day with no issues.

Wonderfully warm welcome by the staff, who took excellent care of us throughout the visit. Convenient central location despite slightly inconvenient access up a steep hillside — but the beautiful view made it worthwhile. Everything about the hotel was calming and serene. We will be very happy to return again.

Great property! I go in excellent shape only walking to and from it daily. Steep walk (okay for me I’m 34) but if you were older or have any trouble walking, a taxi is for sure needed.

We hughly enjoyed our stay. The room and bathhroom were spacious and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable, including preparing our room early. It is about a 20 min walk (uphill) from the town, so you may want to rent a car or be prepared to take taxis to and from.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful, the indoor hot springs was exactly what I wanted along with a view of the Fireworks. I gave a 4 to the convenience of shopping is you are up a hillside, but they can call you a ride and and is very easy to get. You can walk but it’s a one lane and can be scary, so I would just call a ride. Even checking out was a pleasure, your team at Resort work very hard and it was an amazing experience. Thank you very much.

The staff were very accommodating and friendly. They were working so hard to make our stay memorable and their intention to make a luxurious stay was known. Those going to expect authentic Italian food may be disappointed but the food was very good. There is a restaurant in Vancouver that does Japanese and Italian fusion that has a Michelin star but the food here is better and fresher. Can't beat Japanese fish caught on the same day paired with Italian wine. The in room onsen with real onsen water was a treat. After 10 days of city hopping, I felt relaxed and calm. I would stay there again . There are reviews that the hill is too hard to climb but I suggest that guests take a taxi. The entire city is built in steep hills so you cannot say this one hotel is bad without mentioning the region. Think Amalfi or Cinque Terre and you get the Italian feel with Japanese flair. I've been to both and have Italian family and have lived in Japan so I'm confident in my review that this meets my experiences and expectations. Great stay!

Our overall experience is very good！The room has great view, is clean and has all nice little things you could possibly need. I enjoy the morning sunrise time, listening the sounds of nature, watching the goat eating grass in the yard , facing the Buddhist temple on the opposite hill, close to the nature, I can see the owner sets high standards and try hard to provide high end service.

Lovely big rooms with 4-poster beds, nice view, good facilities. Staff were very welcoming. Great attention to detail e.g. remembered to do something special for a birthday, napkins embroidered with our names etc.
The meal was excellent, with good wine options at reasonable prices. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay - thank you to all the staff there.

Rewarding hike up the hill
You gotta walk uphill for a few min but what awaits you is a sleek hotel and the beautiful ocean view makes the hike totally worth it. You can see the illuminated castle at night and the town of Atami.

Pros: (1) The room was nice and spacious. (2) The amenities were also nice, especially the drinks. (3) The hotel was about a 10-minute ride from Atami Station, so it was easy to get to.
Cons: No shower or bath inside of the room. An open bath outside is nice for warm weather but not in the winter, and with no shower inside, you have to go downstairs to shower or bathe. (2) The room was too hot inside despite turning off the heat and opening the window. (3) The road going to and from the hotel was too narrow and very steep, and it took the taxi a long time to go down because it had to stop, back up, and pull aside to let other cars pass. You need to be in good shape to walk up the road if you don't take a cab. The slope angle is very steep.

I would not call this hotel a resort, it has the feel of a family owned business most of the times you have to find the \"front desk\" person with the ring of a bell. This hotel is located on the top of a very steep hill, the last stretch took about 8 min. it was very exhausting to reach the hotel and then there are stairs. the breakfast had to be ordered the day before, with exact time and specifics on juice and coffee etc. since there are only 3 choices you end up eating the same pre-fixed breakfast which is not really enough food, even our coffee cups were only half full (1/pp) any additional cup is 450 yen. the use of the spa also needs to get booked but at least you will get 45 min of private use, however upon check out they demanded 300 yen \"spa tax\" for each usage which was never disclosed at any point and we refused to pay as we already paid more than $450 a night. The hotel also does not offer any shuttle service or any other services, only one staff member could speak some English, hence they were not much help with directions or any other helpful tips. Our room did have a nice view of town and the jetted round bathtub was amazing, but that did not make up for all the many shortcomings like they said free minibar which was two bottles of water, the couch was stained / dirty, the heat / air regulation was poor, the build of the hotel or windows is poor hence you hear all guests and street noise / construction. I would not command this place.

ものすごい激坂ですが、そこを登り終えて着いた先は絶景でした。
花火の開催日は非常に金額も上がりますが、客室からバッチリ見えますので最高でした！

Very professional and service minded staff at a high end hotell nestled in the hillside. If it's your first time in Atami, most hotells are carved into the hillside. This means the view is great, but walking there, especially with luggage, is VERY challenging!! Take a taxi from the railway station. Our room (villa, open air bath) was really nice. Breakfast was served in room, as requested, and was delicious. They even managed to cater to my vegan partner. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Vi fik en fantastisk velkomst, efter vi kom våde frem. Vi fik udleveret håndklæder til at tørre os med. Vi havde ikke booket aftensmad med, men fik muligheden for at få en plads. 400kr pr. person. Vi takkede ja, da hotellet ligger på en stejl skrant, og ikke ville gå frem og tilbage igen.
Vi fik vist vores værelse, og vi blev overraskede over hvor stort det var. Det indtryk havde vi ikke fået af billederne på hotels.com. Aftensmaden var italiensk inspireret og super lækker! Jeg fik spontant lyst til en massage, men havde ikke booket på forhånd. De gjorde sig umage og fandt en tid til mig. 30 min rigtig dejlig massage med olier. Dernæst brugte vi de separate onsen-bade, hvor vi havde dem begge for os selv. Det var først muligt at benytte badene sammen fra kl. 00-06. Det var lidt ærgerligt, og vi fik derfor ikke brugt det sammen.
Værelset havde dejlige faciliteter og al personale var imødekommende og profesionelle. Da vi skulle derfra regnede det, og vi fik derfor en paraply hver. De havde bestilt en taxi for os, og fulgte os helt ud til den.
Det var en rigtig dejlig overnatning, som kom lidt bag på os. Big value for money!
