A good stay can be ruined by unimaginative people who behave loud after 10 PM. Such were my neighbours at my floor last night. Loud talking between 10 pm -1 pm and a person who was directly above me was active and noisy until 1:30 am. Pure idiocy and I wish the management could kick out such people in the middle of the night. Breakfast was a minimum they could give. Beyond any doubt it was the worst breakfast out of six hotels I have stayed in during my trip in Japan.

Room extremely clean and modern. A lot more room than expected from a typical hotel in Japan. Separate standing shower and toilet rooms were a pleasant surprise. Staff were warm and welcoming. Unlike other hotels in Japan, the staff will not store your luggage. You must utilize the luggage lockers provided. Once you check out, the locker become unavailable to you. Largest locker size will not accommodate larger luggage dimensions (could not fit my 28 inch luggage).

Close to Atami Station, so easy to access trains, busses, taxis and shopping. Not as many amenities as a more expensive hotel, but they supply everything you need and there’s a Family Mart one block away. The staff are lovely and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast is small by North American standards, but I enjoyed it very much. This is a great, affordable Japanese hotel in a small onsen town. It was better than I expected at this price point. Two thumbs up! PS Don’t skip the Atami pudding in town, it’s worth waiting in line.

Room was clean and located right next to other hotels and bus stops and the train station.

Breakfast is also provided via partnership with Tully’s coffee (first floor lobby) but you have to bring the print out of your room receipt. The main attraction is a bit of walk from the hotel or shorter if you take a bus or taxi. Amenities are also provided and lockers as well for stashing away bags or items if you arrive early and choose to explore.

Check in was easy and smooth. The room was very clean. The toilet had its own room. Same with the excellent shower.
Staff was excellent. They had free lockers where you could keep your luggage until check in time.

Our only complaint was that they would not store our luggage after we checked out.

Clean room, as per the norm for all Japanese hotels. Very modern and spacious room. Great location as you can walk to Atami Station in less than 5 minutes.

Because of it's local near Atami Station, you are close to everything - shops, restaurants, transportation, etc.

Our room is in the back that faces the train tracks. Surprisingly you can't hear the trains even though they rain close. If you are a rail fan like me ask for the back. It was a pleasant surprise!

I’d say it was very convenient for a 2-night stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and housekeeping was done daily. The check-in process was easy — I did it through a self-service machine and received my room key immediately. I was surprised at how close it was to Atami Station (a 5-minute walk) and right next to the car rental center where I dropped off my car. Since it’s quite close to the station, there are plenty of eateries around, and there’s also a Family Mart just across the street.

Overall a nice hotel, room was nice although odd choice for bare concrete parking garage ceiling. Having Alexa controls would have been nice but it only rarely worked even when using the prompts provided. We ended up just watching Netflix on my phone instead.

The self check in thing was a bit annoying, I greatly would have preferred a person to do the check in. The free breakfast from the coffee shop was pretty bad, it's a very limited menu and is often gone if you don't get down there right away, it really was a downside and I would have been fine if it wasn't included

Modern, clean, and conveniently located close to the train station. This hotel strikes a good balance if you want something affordable but also professional and reliable. If you're coming for the beach, beware that you're either catching a bus or making a long, exhausting hike up a steep hill from the beach back to the hotel. Not easily walkable, especially in the hot Japanese summers! Staff was able to accommodate English.

Prince Smart Inn Atami was perfect for a 2 night stop over by the sea during my Japanese holiday, i used the hotel for a seaside break on my way from Nagasaki to Tokyo. located conveniently for the bus/railway station and shopping. the rooms are stunning, very modern, comfortable and outfitted with all you need for a short stay. my only slight comment is if your tastes are western for breakfast, this may not be for you as the breakfast was traditional Japanese, with no western option (but that is a me problem, not a hotel problem), there is a 7-11 3 minutes walk away though. all in all, an amazing, modern, hotel conveniently located. book it; you won't be dissapointed.

While the room was clean and spacious, i was surprised to find no tea/coffee making facilities and nowhere to store baggage. There weren't even any cups in the bathroom. Plus breakfast was basically rice soup and a drink. Not very filling. The view was either the train station or the hotel.across the street. Compared to the other five hotels ive stayed at in japan this month this is the worst. Saying that, it is acceptable badic accommodation.

Great value and great location in Atami

Self check in was fine — there were 2 staff available to assist. The room has a small fridge, tub, Alexa, TV. The location is just steps from the train station. There is an iron and microwave available on each floor. Breakfast was fine: a rice ball with Monaka, some pickles, and tea or coffee hot or cold, Other items available for purchase. I would stay here again. The value for the price is fantastic. The lockers will only fit a carryon size suitcase but there are larger lockers available at the train station — they appear to be changing them to card payment .

I would not stay at this hotel again. My biggest complaint was that I planned on leaving my luggage at the hotel after checkout so I could enjoy my last day in Atami. They wouldn’t allow that and I’ve never seen that as a rule at a hotel anywhere. So this kinda ruined a day of my vacation. The room was clean and large that was nice but they really ruined my day after checkout.

A good choice near the train station

Great location, convenient to train station (about a 3 minute walk). My room overlooked the train tracks - I had initial concerns about noise, but my view of the shinkansen whizzing past every few minutes was incredible. I did wear earplugs at night to block out the sound of freight trains going past. Breakfast was a simple ochazuke and tea. I would stay here again if visiting Atami or needed to stay near the train station.

It was an OK stay as it’s walkable from Atami Station. However, the night freight trains were numerous and can be heard from the rear rooms. Room does not have kettle, nor tea making facilities. And because I stayed 3 nights, I paid for additional parking for 3 nights but when I realised that I made a mistake because I only had the car for 2 nights…they did not want to refund when clearly I could show that I do not have the car for the third night.

We arrived too early to check in but the staff who was there on the morning of 2/11 was so helpful in getting us situated with lockers to store our luggage until check-in time. We appreciated the helpfulness and patience of the staff member that day. She and another staff member were there at check-in at 3:00 and again they were so helpful. We would stay there again. The hotel is also so convenient due to being in walking distance to Atami Station as well as to bus and taxi hubs.

No frills hotel with small rooms. Breakfast is included but it’s just tea or coffee with ochazuke rice. If a hot water pot could be put in the rooms it would make staying there much more convenient.
The best thing about this property is it’s close proximity to the train station and bus terminal and all the shopping in Atami.

Check-in process is automated via a kiosk. If you are arriving at the hotel earlier then your check-in time there are luggage lockers to store your baggage before you check-in. Breakfast is served in the mornings and is a small serving of ochazuke with a drink. Although they have instructions in english the process is still confusing. The room was spacious (for Japan). My only complaint is that the luggage lockers cannot be used when you are checking out.

Probably the most convenient location in town.
Right next to JR and Shinkansen but you don’t hear the trains at all.
Bus stop right in front, or walk 100 meters to the train station and all the buses stop there too.
Shopping, food, mall, dessert, everything is within a 5 min walk.
The beach is a 10 minutes walk or 3 minutes by bus.
Super friendly staff, spacious, modern rooms.
Will stay again! 10/10!

Computerized check in and check out is not bad but also not personalised. Breakfast service is a joke. Food is so limited only a bowl of rice and a little of preserved veggy.. it is so mean. The laundry service is good although a little pricy. One step washing and drying, 500 yen for two hours finishing. And you can check the laundry condition from your room TV. Very convenient.

The room (and private bathroom) were very spacious for Japan, it was clean with a smart TV and good AC and a fridge. The bed was really comfy, we didn't want to leave!

This is super clean and convenient business hotel. This hotel has everything you need. High tech coin laundry which you can monitor the progress from your room. Free breakfast. Super safe. Even they didn’t take the tip I left for housekeepers. It’s right next to main station but super quiet in and out. All kinds of shops are right there.

This was a perfect location for a quick stopover two nights one day in Atami. Smart room - check in and out was smooth. And the Japanese breakfast with decent coffee option hit the spot. Small breakfasts work for us.
We recommend the floors get a better cleaning - sticky floor which was surprising as the place was spotless otherwise. Perhaps a mop was not functioning? Anyway we really found the price value excellent. Thank you.

Not all food locations near the hotel were listed though. Hotel was clean and room was spacious. Complimentary water was provided only during check in, and there was no kettle in the room, so if staying more nights, need to buy water from convenience store. Breakfast provided was nice but portion was small for guys.

ミニマムなホテルです。
シャワーのみで浴槽がありませんでした。浴槽があるのはダブルベットの部屋のみとのこと。変更してもらえませんでした。
室内に収納なく、ポット等もありません。寝るのみで寛ぐための用意がなかったです。
そのあたり納得の上で泊まられるといいと思います。
また併設のカフェのスタッフは手際が悪く、不親切。紙バッグに入った朝食を紙の上で手掴みで食べるシステム。何度かリクエストしてようやくしぶしぶお皿をもらえました。
建物自体は新しく、清潔。駅近で便利です。
