The property is beautiful, overlooking the beach on a cliff. The food was very good although a bit expensive.
The “cabins” are just that. You can see through the wooden floors and there are gaps everywhere in the room. They don’t have the darkened curtains and the bathroom has bugs running around everywhere. They are likely ants but they are on the counters and literally all over.

The air conditioning barely worked and I had to sleep on the covers which led to numerous bites all over. I didn’t sleep at all between scratching and spraying bug spray while being extremely hot and sticky. The hotel told us that the air conditioning was fine-end of story. They didn’t seem empathetic that this was our last 3 nights in Bali before a long trip home to Canada .
We had no idea that these cabins weren’t insulated or sealed and that we would have little to no air conditioning.

The management has not as much as apologized or given us a refund and we are out 2 nights of hotel costs. In fact, no one seems to be able to reach management.

We are not fussy people and are truly disappointed and angry at tgis experience.

Not worth the money.

Most beautiful resort. Rooms were large clean, air conditioned with furniture to put clothes away. Grounds were very clean lots of areas to lounge with umbrellas. Great restaurant beautiful views quick walk down stairs to beach. A bit away from the town but easy drive. Used hotel drivers they were great. Staff was excellent.

The reception staff and spa staff were arrogant. The food quality was bad, we received pieces of plastic in our sauce and taste of the food doesn't justify the price.

Hidden Gem

The perfect start to our Bali adventure after a long flight. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout (including sorting out our luggage that was stuck in Singapore) and the aptly named The View Restaurant was just that and along with the infinity pools provided stunning views and sunsets. The Senses spa is also worth a visit. All in all a wonderful experience.

The rooms were very comfortable, we stayed in nina5. Great place to rest your head and roomy bathroom. The pools were beautiful. The staff were great and very accommodating. The food was delicious and wonderfully prepared but it took a long time. The location is a little ways from the beach. It with a scooter rental is only 5 minutes away. Dreamland beach only 8 minutes away and both are fabulous! Hit them at low tide for best surf and both have board rentals

Beautiful cliff-top resort

Fantastic stay at this rustic, cliff-top resort. Staff were exceptional with frequent check in to ensure we were having a good stay.

The View restaurant is perched atop the cliff face and forges panoramic views of Kuta and the Indian Ocean. Food, drinks and service all great.

I’d booked a forest room with dipping pool, but was upgraded on arrival to ocean view bungalow (no.22) with infinity pool.

The room is rustic and a little basic, but that’s the charm. Bed is comfortable and bathroom big. The first night was very windy and wet - heavy storm - with some water leaking into the room, but nothing bad.

The resort is nice, has a selection of pools, poolside bar and plenty of places to lounge.

There’s also a private beach.

Overall, great stay with exceptional service. Loved the private infinity pool!

The property is beautifully set on a cliff. The pools are lovely. Breakfast is very good Transportation could be problematic as they don't allow Grab(Indonesia's Uber) to pick up and the hotel's rates for Transportation are triple. Friendly staff.

we arrived and there was maintenance work being done on the villa beside us. I asked to be moved but the rooms the available room was not nice.
we were moved the next day. we were given a voucher for inconvenience. Manager was not available to talk to us or didn't respond to a message.
Communication on this would have been appreciated..

Very unbalinese attitude from the hotel eg
1. Kettle in the bedroom with coffe and tea supplied but no milk or powdered milk-if you wanted milk they charged you the same price as a cup of tea or coffee from the restaurant.
2. Unhelpful reception staff with no idea what there is to do locally.
3. Plenty of waiters around trying to sell drinks during ordinary hours-they disappeared during happy hour.
4. I was leaving the hotel at 7:30am so settled up my bill at 10pm the night before. They insisted on coming straight round and emptying the minibar and taking away with them, making me feel untrustworthy and like a thief: they had an impression of my credit card so why do it?
5. When I settled up my bill I paid in cash. They did not have the correct change to give me and insisted that it was me that should be shortchanged-ridiculous.
6.they insist there are an eco friendly hotel yet they are perfectly happy to allow smoking in the restaurant-which May be legal in Bali but it is frankly a disgusting habit and shouldn’t be allowed in restaurants out of courtesy to the vast majority of clients, who don’t smoke.

A beautiful spot

A fab stay with an amazing private pool. It's a beautiful setting. There isn't too much around but after a long haul flight we were happy to just chill and get over the jet lag. The food wasn't the best and we would have preferred more local options.

The hotel location on a cliff is amazing with a great ocean view! They had comfortable outside seatings where you can enjoy the sunset. We stayed for our honeymoon and had a relaxing time in La Joya Biu Biu!
One point that needs to be fixed is the issue with their credit card machine, which was very inconvenient. If you are staying you better bring cash.

For the price, the view, and to enjoy the sea breeze we highly recommend this hotel. Many families with kids as well.

This is a great hotel with nice private beach. I have always enjoyed staying here. Unfortunately the pool area was being renovated during our stay and not fully available. The spa was great. Best spa location in Bali right on the cliff

Pretty resort let down by dirty loo n lousy staff

Beautiful property and local area. The pool area and the private beach are the star. As the resort is remote, you can see stars if clouds are absent. It is quiet and very relaxing.

These are the downsides: -
(1) Food is very average the hotel but the prices are low too.
(2) Cocktails are terrible but the prices are low too.
(3) Room cleaniness is average.
(4) Room's bathroom cleaniness is bad. There is a moudly smell when the ventilation fan is on. It is puke inducing.
(5) Shower stall is filthy and very dirty and smelly. I asked for a change of room with small improvement
(6) Staff service is bad. I had the Do Not Disturb sign up. And I was disturbed when I was very very intimate with my wife. The staff knocked on the door and persisted for a minute until I had to cut short my intimacy and opened the door. Turned out that the staff only wanted to check the mini bar. This is absolutely nonsense.

Overall I regret booking La Joya as the service and toilet cleaniness are terrible. It is a pity because it has one of the most beautiful resort grounds.

I do think the property was beautiful. But, the AC didn't work in our room - #12 - and the overhead shower head didn't either so it was just the side one spilling water all over and made it an uncomfortable experience. The staff were great and as I said, it's a beautiful, peaceful property. The food is amazing but the prices come with a ridiculous 21% tax. Make sure to come with your own car or scooter because the taxi prices are also horrendous and Grab/Go-Jek won't come to the property either. I guess if you don't mind spending a bit more money it's not a issue.

Stylish Bunaglow Suite

I have stayed in over 10 places in Bali and our bunaglow suite was one of my absolute favorites. The view is beautiful, private swimming pool, and very spacious, stylish bunaglow. I highly recommend the Mexican tacos as a pool side snack! My only compliant is that directly beside our bunaglow there were probably 10+ construction workers working from 8:00am until past sunset. It was very noisy all day and made our “private” bunaglow, not so private - the workers would sit on the edge of our “private” porch at times and I had to change clothes in the bathroom every time because the workers could see through the glass panels that line the wall. The hotel did not inform of us this - it would have been nice to have known or at least been offered the room at a discounted price since you are paying for a pricey room to have more privacy, maybe even a complimentary dinner, anything. I understand construction has to happen, but I think informing the guest is 100% necessary.

Love this place

I picked La Joya 2 over La Joya because the bungalows are right next to the spa on the cliff. Love the little cliff “jacuzzi”. Nice bungalows and good food at the restaurant. Try the smoothie bowl for breakfast, amazing. Staff is nice especially the manager, Yama. I only wish the hadn’t put up the glass fence around the perimeter of the cliff. Will definitely be back.

WISH IT WERE ON THE BEACH, BUT...

Pros:
BEAUTIFUL hotel- charming, circular, hut-like rooms. Fantastic views. WARM, inviting pool.
Cons: No BLANKET on bed, just one top sheet. (With the a/c on, I actually woke up FREEZING!
No phone in room to call front desk- you may find this very inconvenient.
Breakfast choices are slim. As a vegan, even slimmer. (I prefer hotels with buffets and/or much larger menus for varied choices). Still, what I had was pretty good- not life-changing, but pretty good.

upon checkout I was informed that the hotel could not accept debit cards, but cash or credit card was OK. I use my indonesian debit card every week and have never found that debit cards do not work but ctedit cards do. The machines either work or do not, depending on how the mobile network is working. Therefore, I can only assume we were part of a scheme by staff to make a cash payment off the books. a trip to an atm delayed us to the point where we nearly missed out flight. Never again for this hotel - others should be aware.

I also experienced bali belly after eating at the hotel restauarant.

Beautiful views. Lovely bungalows, great food!

We stayed here when realising we had an extra night in Bali after a yoga teacher training. Our friend recommended the place so we booked it without even researching! I mentioned to the staff I was a coeliac (gluten free) and so was my partner. We were so impressed when at dinner and breakfast the staff knew we were gluten free and to not give us any food with gluten. The views are spectacular, the sound of the ocean is wonderful and the rooms are so cute and each has a lovely different outlook. We walked down to the private beach which was fun. The only thing I didn't love was that during the day there are a lot of really loud obnoxious tourists by the pool drinking too much. Its not really in the hotels control as that is just the Bali westerner experience, but thankfully at night they finished up and went to their own rooms. I'm glad the pool & bar area doesn't stay open at night or it would be impossible to sleep!

The hotel is situated abit far from the main road
a bit far from the city which is very quiet place to relax.

The highlight of my stay is the Private Beach of this which is a 5min Hike down and back up

Both Sunset of the beach and of in the pool area is amazing

For the room they dont have a service telephone
if you need anything from the front desk you have to go up to the front desk/ same in the restaurant/ spa if you need their services

Location:
it is cheaper to get a BLUEBIRD taxi to go from there just book in advance through their app.

The staff was from greeting to farewell always extremly friendly and helpfull.

I stayed in room 11 a garden side lodge and absolutely loved it. Very spacious room with big windows all around and beautiful view of the lush garden.

The infintiy terasse pool is breathtaking, but as quite busy (influencers, groups of people and childern) I prefered to stay at the hidden pool which I think is even a bit nicer, as you can see the beach and listen to the birds of the forest and the waves of the sea. I loved the pool service - super friendly as always. Great juices!

The restaurant was excellent! Hands down the best food I had all over Indonesia. Good variety of meals. Great and healthy breakfast joice too.
The view is breathtaking. One night there was a band playing, which made a good atmosphere.

The Spa location is very unique with little huts above the sea. A shame you dont really see the view while facing down or up having a treatment. But you can hear the waves, which is very calming. The massage was normal balinese quality, nothing speial though. I had better ones.

Overall prices clearly higher than at other places on Bali, but I guess you pay for the whole experience.

The only thing I missed is a free water supply. You have one 1 liter bottle in the room, which gets refilled when they make your room. But if you only stay two nights it will only get refilled once. Which is not enough...

Overall a great experience and I can highly recommend!

La struttara è posizionata su una strada privata, non molto sicura, di proprietà degli abitanti della zona che abusivamente si propongono per trasportarti con la loro macchina.

チェックアウトをしてグラブタクシーを呼んだもののローカルの人が出てきてタクシーを追っ払ってしまう。夜中は大丈夫だそうだが、どうしてもチェックアウトは昼間なのでこの施設専用のタクシーを使わないといけないが、料金は通常より2.5倍ほど高い。
grab、ゴジェックなどのタクシーを利用の場合、メイン通りまで大きい荷物を運ばないといけないのですごく不便であった。
買い物は近くのスーパーが1kmほどのところにあるのでバイクでないと大変。
施設内は秘境感があり、清潔。
スパはココならではの体験ができるのでとても良い。
バランガンビーチも近い。歩こうと思えば歩ける。自分で運転が出来るなら車で行けば良いが道中道が狭いので運転は疲れる。

Hotel tres bien situé avec une vue superbe la restauration est tres bonne je ne mets pas tes bien car il serait bien d avoir une bouteille d eau en plus (1/jour) car nous étions 2 pers et l eau n est pas potable 1 seul passage /jour dans la chambre et pas assez de serviettes éponge seulement 2 grandes et 2 petites pas de peignoir et eau chaude consommée au bout de 5mn ceux sont des détails qui pourrait améliorer l état des chambres qui sont tres belles le gérant et le cuisinier sont français et sympathique ce qui nous a bien aidé tres bel endroit avec plusieurs piscine et petite plage privée on y retournera sans hésiter

Die Anlage ist wunderschön. Der Pool und die Aussicht ist das klare Highlight. Wir hatten zuerst eine Gardenside Lodge. Diese ist in die Jahre gekommen, das Bad hat mehrere Mängel aufgewiesen. Die Hütte war leider sehr durchlässig sodass viele Tiere reinkommen

Relaxed atmosphere and stunning views

Great hotel with a stunning view and pool area. Very relaxing vibe. Beds are quite hard. Only downside with the hotel is that it’s not possible to order grab or online taxi pickups because there’s a taxi mafia on the hotel’s street which makes things a bit more complicated (or more expensive if you choose the taxi mafia).
