It was my first time at AYANA resorts and i can’t tell you enough how amazing this place is,it’s a perfect way to take a break and recharge for families and romantic getaway. The staff , food and 5 star service makes the stay soo pleasant and smooth. We have a 18 month old and there’s so many activities for kids to keep them entertained during your stay.We will definitely be coming back and highly recommended.

Beautiful resort/s but too many rules on where you can go and eat/drink based on which resort on the property you are staying at. The trade off to beautiful well designed resort is the constant instagrammers/nfluencers who are always trying to get that “perfect shot”. Food was ok but should be more elevated for the price . If you want amazing pics to send to your followers and can handle the constant stream or people also wanting to get that shot then this is the place for you.

Personalisation and the warm feeling is lost here compared to other luxury resorts in Bali.

I had the most incredible experience at Ayana Resort! From the moment I arrived, the level of service was exceptional. The staff was warm, attentive, and made me feel truly welcome. The resort itself is breathtaking, with stunning ocean views, lush gardens, and luxurious amenities.

The dining options were fantastic, offering a variety of cuisines that catered to every taste. I especially enjoyed the Rock Bar, where I could sip cocktails while watching the sunset — it was magical! The spa services were also top-notch, providing the perfect relaxation experience.

The place is lovely. For this type of property, you would expect the staff to have a working level of English (I’m not a native speaker, but when abroad, English is the language we all use). I booked a table at Rock Bar for sunset drinks. I asked for a glass of water to accompany my glass of whiskey. After 45 minutes of discussing whether the water was free or not, and asking to give me water even if I had to pay for it, I finally had my water, but the sunset was gone, the mood was ruined and I’m never coming back. The morning we were leaving the AC did not work. When I phoned to ask to check out, the AC magically turned on - nice way of kicking people out.

We had a magical stay at Ayana Segara the newer of the the three hotels on property. All are amazing though, especially the original Ayana resort which is closest to the beach. The advantage is that you are able to use the facilities of all of them. Each one has incredible pools, great buffet breakfasts, gyms and just overall amazing facilities. There are different restaurants amongst the properties and one of our favorites was Unique Mexican restaurant on the roof top of the Rimba Hotel. There are free trams that take you from property to property. The highlights of the trip were Rock Bar at sunset 🌅 and the flower power party and the cultural show and Indonesian buffet on property that featured three typical dances. Was worth every penny. Also the private beach on the property turned out to be one of our favorites in Bali.

This property was amazing! We wish we would have had more time to enjoy everything they had to offer. You could make a whole vacation just within the property. The only negatives about our experience was that you could hear everything happening in the hallway and transportation to the airport was not complimentary. When we were in our room, the hallways noise was so loud it sounded like our door was open. I played my sound machine at night, so it didn’t bother us then. But, it is something to keep in mind. Also, transportation to and from the airport is a steep charge. We were able to book an excellent driver easily through the Grab app and pay 1/4 the price.

I must say my stay at this resort was nothing short of amazingly wonderful exceptional and very memorable. Soon as we arrived you are truly made to feel welcomed and taken care of . I had staff remembering my name when we passed by one another here and there also staff always seemed very attentive and wondered if we needed assistance with anything. Breakfast buffet options were also delightful as you can also visit their other sister locations just a short shuttle service ride away. One of my most memorable moments at the resort was having dinner a couple of times at their Sami Sami restaurant and their staff being so professional with suggestions choosing our table having the perfect view to the ocean, remembering our names, loved the entire service … Puttra, Arik and Yuni are the best if you are considering dinner here would definitely recommend perfect portions delicious drinks and scrumptious desserts. Had a day at the spa also felt like heaven. Pool views are great and maintained. Consider staying in as the property is quite expansive and you’ll be doing lots of walking but all views are gorgeous. I absolutely see myself staying at this resort again on my next visit. Definitely recommend AYANA!!**

By far the worst resort I've ever been to. Outdated rooms, overcrowded facilities, and VERY spotty room cleaning. I was horrified to see a used razor as part of the amenities kit and when I brought it up to the front desk's attention they refused to admit guilt (saying it was a supplier issue) and on top of that had to demand compensation. Seriously? Any other 5-star resort would immediately apologize first and at least offer a free breakfast voucher for the trouble. Not here.

Bali is known for its amazing resorts and service. If you're spending that kind of money anyway, you have tons of better and friendlier options.

The property is beautiful, our ocean delux room was very spacious and tastefully decorated with lovely views over the lucious grounds and out to sea. Staff are extremely attentive and polite. There are about 18 restaurants all of which serve very nice food - Sami was my favourite. Also the ocean rock bar is a must with great cocktails especially around sunset.
One negative though - there are a swathe of camera wielding tourists who are brought in before sunset - they are supposed to stay in certain areas which are cordoned off but they manage to avoid these. Very distracting for the guests I thought.

Ayana Resort is unlike any other hotel in Bali. Yes, it can be a little pricey upon booking, however your really paying for the amenities, service and restaurants available at the resort.
I could talk for hours on how good the resort is, but all I will say is that the staff truly completed the experience for us!! They were absolutely lovely and were always trying to make our stay special.
The food was fantastic and the pools were divine!!!!
We will now be making this a bi-yearly trip.
We absolutely loved it!!!!!!

Pros: Ayana is stunning, perfectly manicured and the views are incredible. The staff are friendly, helpful and always greet you as you pass them. We stayed in a deluxe ocean view room. Balcony had a day bed which was perfect for watching the sunset. Truly 5 stars. Highly recommend having dinner at Rock Bar, i cannot describe how amazing it is, the food, the venue, the service, the cocktails and music. It was one of the best experiences I had in Bali.

Cons: This is a 5* resort, everything from average tasting coffee, Bintang beer to womens’ sanitary items are heavily inflated.

Secondly - it has nothing to do with the hotel, but really ruined this experience for us and I think it’s important to note if you’re thinking of staying here - we won’t be staying here again. There’s a large certain demographic of people that spend hours taking pictures in the pool or asking staff to take pictures of them (for a good hour) at Kubu beach club (Ayana’s private beach). This kills the atmosphere as the rest of the guests would like to enjoy the facilities without having to move out of the way for other guests spending hours taking selfies.

Finally, I went to use the pool bathrooms (Female) some other guests were disgusting. Peeing with the door open and leaving the seat and floor full of their urine was disgusting, especially as they knew I was waiting to use the toilet. Again not the resorts fault, but it’s that demographic I mentioned earlier.

Beautiful property with nice gardens. The food is low quality, except Dava steak and seafood restaurant. We did the dinner at the pier because was our anniversary and it was a really a very poor and cool meal. They have to walk 500 feet to get the food. We supposed to have our dinner with only two tables more but it was pack with people taking photos and drinking. I think that the prices are overrated as a 5 star Hotel but they delivery a 3 star experience because they mixed external people with the guest so every time you need access and area they asked if you stay at the Hotel. In my opinion this lost the charm of this massive property.

We had an Ocean View Suite which was amazing - one of the most spacious suites I have stayed in. One thing that really stood out for us was the cleanliness of the resort - it really was spotless. We also recommend the rock bar and the aqua tonic pool is also a great way to spend an hour or two. We would definitely recommend this resort (although be prepared to spend an international rather than Bali budget).

Everything was excellent. The drinks and food are pricey but that's to be expected at a resort of this caliber. For example, a can of Coke at a convenience store is $6500 rupiah but $65,000 at Ayana. The markup is steep.

By far the best service that I have ever experienced in any hotel/resort. Throughout the resort, every staff member were attentive, friendly, courteous and genuinely showed care towards us and took great care of us every minute of our trip. We really did not want to leave and the resort is so big that it takes a good few days to explore. When you come to ayana, you really don't need to go out of the result to fully enjoy yourself. I would definitely return again.

Huge property in monkey forest- 50 acres. Has two hotels - one on the water with private beach, one inland with seven pools. Several places to eat. Everything is first class. Outside of the room you pay for most everything. An exception is the personal trainer in the fitness area. Staff is outstanding! Tight guest security!

The service... I thought it was something unexplainable of how excellent it was. I was telling my friend that it was like they were robots trained to do the same thing greet you every time you walked by them. We called and immediately they were at our front door. The breakfast selection was great! The pool was to die for and our overall experience was excellent we will be returning to this location :)

If you are wanting a hotel with a nice beach Ayana is not for you. There is no usable beach on the property and the small private beach they have is a 10 min shuttle ride from the hotel. However, it was closed everyday we were here (5 days straight).

The plumbing here is terrible so expect to see broken toilets with number 2 stopped up from a previous guests.

Bali is a cheap. Ayana is not. The prices are just expensive for expensive sake. Food is not that great and even the breakfast buffet is disappointing. How do you mess up bacon?

Watch out for the the tour service. They will sell you overpriced tours that do not match what you requested. We wanted to book a boat ride to enjoy a nice beach since the hotel does not have one. We told the lady that but she sold us a boat ride to some beach club but the beach club doesn't have usable beach to play around at. So we just sat around for 4 hours waiting for the return boat. I was steaming mad.

Overall the only thing I can say that was nice about this hotel was the smell of the incense they used everywhere.

If you don't mind not having a nice beach then book at your own risk.

We planned 6 days in Bali and I was at a complete loss as to which region and hotel (more than one?) to stay in. Sound familiar? Well, I did a ton of research, went on a few ten best lists, and found the Ayana Resort and Spa. The villas were too expensive for me for the full 6 nights, so I chose the suites. From arrival, it was a resort to behold.

At the gate, security checked our status; that was reassuring. When we arrived, the bellhop and welcome agent immediately welcomed us warmly and gave us flower garlands. Such a nice touch. We were ushered in to the hotel lobby where we were seated at a table while cold towels and icy tea were given to us while we waited for our paperwork to be processed. As we looked around, we could see the property was amazing. Steps away from the beach, with water fountains and ponds everywhere. You could tell that this was a special resort (formerly the Ritz-Carlton).There were lines of outsiders (non-resort guests) arriving by bus just to enjoy the property and eat/drink at the Roc bar. (more on that later).

After we were checked in, we and our luggage were brought to our room. It was a nice room, can't say it was too special. Had a nice garden-view and sliver of ocean view.

Our 3 days at Ayana were spent at the fantastic Indo restaurant Damar. There were Italian and Mexican options but no way was I going to try that here. No need, the food at Damar was so good we came back the second night for the exact same dishes. The Rock B

Ayana it truly worthy of calling themselves the best resort in Bali. from the second that I entered the property I was always greeted and acknowledged by every single individual that I encountered. their amenities are top notch and their customer service is world class. the property is fantastic, they made me feel like royalty. the staff at the rock bar, deckpool and the beach side pool are simply amazing and always made me feel special. the variety of restaurants is great and the food quality and presentation is phenomenal. Ayana is a truly special property and I am grateful that I had the opportunity to stay here. thank you so much to all of the staff and management for all of the services that you provided. I will recommend this property to everyone I know. thank you to the country and people of Bali for your amazing hospitality.

This resort is out of this world! I arrived and was immediately cared for and taken to my room with assistance, which was so helpful since I was exhausted with jetlag. The grounds are immaculate. The hospitality of the staff is amazing. People knew my name and welcomed me back to restaurants and pools when they saw me. That was incredible. The need to have stronger fans in the outdoor areas/lobby etc to help circulate air in the heat. The only disappointment I had was arriving to my room and it didn't look like the room in the pictures on the website. It was explained to me that those pictures were from in The Villa, which felt a little like false advertising. Other than that, my trip was incredible and I would definitely return!

The extensive ground for walking or get some of the attraction inside of resort as private beach where you go on elevator. See monkeys on permises without looking for it.
Beautiful pictures spots on all areas of resort.

Ayana is an amazing resort! Great ambience, customer service is exceptional! I would recommend lounge chairs still at the adult only pool and not just the sun huts to avoid a sign up sheet. Possibly another adult only pool section would be good. I was disturbed by children playing very loudly in the pool by the bar.
