1. We chose MGM for the pool complex. However despite it being 90+ degrees(spring heat wave), they did not have the lazy river pool open our first day and we were only staying 2 nights. On the second day we were excited to use the lazy river until we discovered that you could not rent the inner tubes, instead you have to purchase them at a cost of $30/each. This is absolutely ridiculous considering MGM has a huge outdoor facility and could easily set aside an area to rent them. We did not have room in our luggage to pack this back home.
2. MGM is gigantic. It takes a long time to get anywhere. The trek to the pool from our hotel room was 10 minutes. Navigating is generally difficult, expect to get turned around.
3. We did online check-in, don't do this. You risk getting a room with a bad view. My brother was with us and he did the regular check-in and got a great room on the floor above us. Later when we tried to go to his room, after a confusing mess of going down to lobby and back up a few times, we discovered the key cards only let you off on the floor of your room.
4. SMOKE! I know most of the casinos allow smoking but dang, there was so much smoke. If you have even mild asthma, you're in trouble. My daughter was struggling walking through the casino.

We came to see a concert at the Sphere and it was a short 10 minute drive away. The tram was also a convenient way to get around and could be accessed from the hotel. While the MGM Grand hotel was beautiful and the Cirque Du Soleil show was excellent, I was taken aback by the fact that Las Vegas Casinos almost all allow smoking. I have a lung disease that was caused in part by and can still be aggravated by second hand smoke. When walking through the casino (which you have to do to get to the district walk way) it felt like I was transported to a distinctly trashier time due to all the folks smoking indoors. If the casinos insist on still keeping smoking allowed I highly recommend the MGM Grand at least quarter off their smoking area to avoid their beautiful district walkway from smelling like (and people breathing in) 2nd hand smoke. We ate at the lovely Italian restaurant there not far from the casino and we could smell smoke the whole time— yuck!

Great stay overall except that there was no coffee maker in the studio suite, and only 2 glasses for the whole room (including bathroom) while the minibar was loaded with any kind of drinks. How are we supposed to drink? I found the lack of coffee maker and glasses incongruous for the price of the booking.

Everything was \"fine\". We booked 3 rooms for work, and all 3 had some discomfort with the beds. The room had a fridge that was completely useless because it was filled with stupid over priced drinks, and we couldn't put our own food in. In the past, we stayed at the Signature at MGM (which is what we will return to in the future), so we didn't realize what a step down we were taking when we booked at the MGM.
My TLDR would be, just book at the signature, it's so much better. But, the MGM staff was amazing, every single employee we encountered did an amazing job, right down to the security guards I needed directions from. Staff is top knotch! ....Facility, slightly less so.

Upon check in, we were treated poorly by the young lady that checked us in. She was rude and condescending. The majority of the other staff were too busy to answer questions. The only positive encounter that we had was with the staff from housekeeping. They were on it! Prompt, respectful and very attentive.
As far as the food, most of the eateries were very busy. We were very surprised of the poor quality of the food and its preparation. It was sloppy and did not taste good. One of our orders costed more than fifty dollars for two burgers and fries. The adult beverages were small with little alcohol and lots of ice. All in all it was a bad experience. I will never go there again.

Toilet ran every 10 seconds during our entire 3-night stay. Called about it the first night and maintenance came. And thought they had fixed it, but didn’t. Called twice a day each day but problem was never fixed. It made enough noise when it filled that it made it difficult to fall asleep. Also had ants in our room at one point attracted by some food that wasn’t completely sealed. Waited an hour for someone to bring some ant spray then gave up and cancelled the request since we had an early flight and didn’t want to stay up all night waiting. Hotel was otherwise nice, though expensive. Restaurants were excellent.
