One disappointing thing was that the advertised infinity pool and sauna were not included, please make this obvious in your property description, others do. We might not have booked had we known.
However, as we booked a superior room we received free breakfast and 'happy hour'. You should also advertise this as it was appreciated. Not sure executive lounge is the right name thou as it is not that, great views though. The limited menu is ok for short stays, we enjoyed it, there was beer and wine available too in the evening. The food is the same each meal, no variation, would not have been that impressed if paying but its not expensive so sto moaning, loved the chicken especially.
The room was excellent, staff friendly and helpful when needed, location great, we like walking. No swimming in sea outside hotel just head north to next beach, its a nice walk.
A lot of the reviews were dated and the hotel appears to have responded to the comments.
Its a nice hotel, we came in october so quiet bet its heaving in summer. Fantastic outdoor gym on the beach and walks through the pines lovely.

Our stay at St. John's Hotel was a mix of positives and notable disappointments.

The beachfront location is fantastic and the pet-friendly policy is well-managed. Our room was clean, check-in was immediate, and staff were kind and efficient.

However, the hotel's massive scale led to a chaotic, noisy environment; the lobby felt like a busy bus terminal. We faced significant waits for the elevators. The 4 PM check-in and 11 AM check-out times felt restrictive.

The lounge experience was particularly disappointing. We were informed of a strict one-hour time limit during evening happy hour, and the quality of the food and drinks was below expectations.

A major letdown was the cost-cutting on amenities. The room only had bulk soap dispensers. There were no disposable slippers, only plastic ones for re-use, and basic amenities had to be purchased from a vending machine in the hallway—a noticeable step down from other Korean hotels. We also had to use an external parking lot as the main one was full.

Pillowcases and towels smelled. It seemed like they just ran the laundry with just water without any cleaning agent. There is no sound proofing whatsoever. The hotel restaurant played their music so loud that you can clearly hear the lyrics even with the sliding door shut.

Great location. The hotel is very nice but you pay for everything. Want to use any of the pools you must pay, want to have a really good beer on draft you must pay to go into the pool area to drink a draft beer or you can go to the executive lounge and drink Kelly. Dogs everywhere so if you don’t want to be around dogs probably not the right place

The hotel is very large and cold. The room has no amenities like coffee or body lotion. There is no where in the bathroom to hang a towel and the sink area is too dark to put on makeup.
“ Bland” is the term I’d use to describe the hotel.

Highly recommended!! I think the hotel marketing team didnt describe all the lovely things to surprise the guests. Once we checked in, my kids were jumping around the room. We loved the kids items in the room, a huge digital art wall, a kids’ portable audio for bedtime story, a massage chair and a king sized sealy matress and comfortable bedding.
We would definitely come back to the room when it is not too busy season.

We stayed New year’s day so the waiting time for Check in and elevator wasnt pleasure.

The St John’s hotel was undoubtedly lovely in its day. Unfortunately, it is playing a catch up game with its maintenance.
First the good:
the location is great! Just a brief walk through the pines in order to get to the beach. It is walking distance from great restaurants and stores and has many conveniences on the grounds.
The staff is wonderful. We arrived early and we’re not allowed to check in but there was a young man that took a genuine interest in helping us out and our wait was not a problem.
We were on the 9th floor with an ocean view and really enjoyed looking out the windows.
The rooms are spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
The bathroom was well appointed and everything worked the way it was supposed to.
Now the bad:
The elevators are a real problem . It was not uncommon for us to wait four or five minutes and once it was seven minutes. There were also times when you had to wait for a 2nd one because the first was too full.
They call it an “Executive Lounge” but it’s really just a rundown place to get the same monotonous food every morning. I don’t believe it was worth the extra that we paid for it.
The beach does not belong to the hotel but please be careful! It is a lovely place And you might be tempted to not look where you are walking, but please do. My wife found 19 fishing lures washed up on the shore on the two beach walks that she took. (Pictured)

This is a very big hotel. I paid for a better room with separate check in area and access to the executive lounge. As a result, check in was very easy and the member of staff was very kind. The room was a good size, clean, and had a good view of the ocean. The executive lounge was very busy and I'm not sure about the quality of some of the foods. There is only one coffee machine, so it takes a long time to get a coffee. Otherwise, it was fine. A good hotel, but there are not enough elevators considering the size and number of guests. We constantly had to wait minutes for one to arrive. A very nice hotel, but a bit too busy and bustling for me.

We had a very enjoyable stay. We liked the breakfast and the happy hour food and drinks in the evening. It was included in the price. We met some other nice travelers there. The views from the top are very nice. The beach is a short walk away. There is nice artwork in the little pine forest. The parking garage at the hotel was full when we arrived, but there is another one not far. So no problem. But be sure to register your car number at reception. We didn’t and had to pay when we left. But we are getting refunded for it. In the end the hotel is worth going back to. We can recommend it!

Very nice resort by the beach. Extremely dog friendly for those who bring their k9 pals everywhere. Checkin/check out were very smooth. Everyone was very nice. Only drawback is there is no “room service”. There’s a couple of items you can order that is from one of the restaurants. So if you’re have a late night out and are hungry, better to stop somewhere and bring it to your room. Otherwise, it’s a great place to stay.

Nice hotel with easy beach access

The hotel is nice and the staff is great. We really enjoyed the location as it was an easy walk to the beach. The elevator situation, however, was not the best. It would take forever to get an elevator and we didn't know this but some of the elevator banks only go to even floors and others only go to odd floors so the first time we got on, we got on the wrong elevator and had to go down and take the other \"even\" elevator. Once the crowds left after the holiday weekend, the elevator situation wasn't as bad. We had breakfast every morning at the bakery downstairs, which was nice but did not get to try the other restaurants at the hotel. It's a kid friendly hotel in terms of the amenities and activities but for a family of 4, the rooms were just not big enough. We ended up having to split up because the only options were a double bed plus a twin or two twin beds.

호텔 동선이 복잡하고 방에 들어가자마자 먼지 때문에 알레르기 반응이 심하게 나타났으며 환기를 시켜도 소용없었습니다. 천장과 벽이 얼마나 얇은지 윗방 문소리뿐 아니라 말소리까지 다 들렸습니다. 다시는 가고 싶지 않은 최악의 호텔입니다.

4성인데 객실내 컴플리멘터리 커피도 없고(아마도 비타민c가 대체인듯 하나..커피 선호함), 어미니티가 제대로 구비 되어 있지 않어서 하우스키핑에 몇번 전화를 해야 했고, 지하 주차도 적어서 외부주차를 해야했음. 날씨도 추운데 외부로 걸어가는 불편함이 있었고 주변 소음도 있어 호텔의 편리성이 떨어짐.

로비는 개들이 짖어대서 정신이 하나도 없었다. 반려동물을 좋아하지 않는 분은 피할것. 시설은 좋았고 사람은 많았다. 라운지 16층은 1시간 반. 딱 한번만 갈수 있는것이 단점. 화이트와인보다는 레드와인이 괜찬았도 음식 가지수는 많지 않았는데 먹을만 했다. 늦게 방문하면 음식들이 식으면 맛이 좀 떨어진다. 감안할것. 재방문의사 있음.
