Auberge du Bonheur was a great place to stay. The staff were very obliging and helpful. They rented bicycles so we were able to get out and explore. The restaurant and staff were lovely and approachable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We booked this Auberge last minute after a let down at a nearby hotel. They couldn’t have been more accommodating to us, the room was ready for us within 20 minutes of us booking it from the previous hotel, the staff were friendly during check in and the room was lovely. Would highly recommend

Magical stay in Tilburg!

Spent the holidays touring around Europe and this hotel was our favorite stay of all our hotels! What a gem! We booked due to its proximity to Efteling theme park and I will definitely never look to stay anywhere else when I return. The included breakfast is heaven. Great food in a cozy atmosphere. I wish all hotels could be this magical!

Top hotel in Tilburg with a personal touch

Excellent bed, super helpful staff, plentiful breakfast with everything you could want. I had a perfect stay. The only hope i would have is that they upgrade the bathrooms, which are basic, fine but not in line with the quality of everything else.
PS: with my family we tested all roomtypes apart from the weddingsuite and they are equally comfortable, none suffer from
noise as the acoustics are properly managed, you hear nothing (not from outside and not from other rooms; the beds are equally good in all rooms as well.

The Auberge is in a lovely location - at the edge of a large wood with many walking/jogging paths. It's tranquil, pretty, and very relaxing. It is a short walk to the university. The breakfast is very nice.The staff are friendly and helpful. My room was clean and quiet - I even had a small terrace with a place to sit outside.

Charming hotel -- good value.

A charming, small hotel with modern bathrooms. Very helpful staff and decent breakfast. Really serene locale overlooking the Amstel canal: boats, ducks etc. Minor issues: our minibar fridge did not work (they stored our bought food in their kitchen's fridge); not very strong light bulbs; a water kettle cord that did not reach the outlet, fraying carpet. But quite comfortable bed, modern bathroom, good room service, relatively spacious room (we were in the Deluxe), great views of the canal. All in all, we very much enjoyed the stay.

An amazing stay!

The beds were great and comfortable and the room quiet. There was a bathtub in my room and everything was very clean. The only issue I had was with the lady at the front desk. There were two of them and yet the one helping me had to pick up the phone WHILE helping me. That was annoying to say the least. I arrived around 9 PM and simply wanted to get to my room but the lady behind the desk interrupted my conversation with her to pick up the phone...

Lovely hotel, not well placed for public transport

Room, welcome , food etc all excellent. A beautiful site with lovely walks in the forest behind. I was there to watch the European hockey championships and it was perfectly situated for walking to the amazing hockey centre nearby. Two slight drawbacks - my room had a communicating door with the adjacent one, and I could even hear their coughs and sneezes., and for someone in their 70s without transport it was a long walk to the nearest bus stop or train station into the city, and taxis are expensive.

Excellent Hotel Near Tilburg University

I had a good experience at this hotel, it is walking distance from Tilburg University which was the primary purpose of our visit. The room was ample size and situated in a quiet wooded area and despite a nearby road, the road noise was negligible in the hotel room. The city center is a 10 minute drive by car so beware if you are expecting to be able to walk to the city center from here.

Beautiful modern, clean and well equiped room

A superb hotel that appears to have been recently refurbished to a high standard. We had a room with terrace on the second floor which was spacious, clean and modern. Well equiped fridge/mini bar, tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer and a 2 ring hob!
Breakfast was reasonable, if not exciting,and taken in their very nice restaurant. If you want dinner in the restaurant, we suggest booking in advance, as we were disappointed to find that it was fully booked.
The location is ideal for the university, located next to a beautiful wood and about 15 minute walk to Tilburg uni station.
We will certainly come again on our next visit.

Great Hotel just outside the city centre

This hotel was a real find. The food is fantastic. We got the offer of the chef 'surprising' us, and he certainly did. The menu was seasonal and fresh and very well prepared. The hotel is to be refurbished soon, and so the bedrooms will be better than before, although in fairness the one we had wasn't bad anyway. The staff are super-helpful and very kind, and there was no problem parking our bicycles in their bike shed. The room was surprisingly quiet given that it opened on to the busy main road. The room was clean too.

Perfect for Tilburg University Conferences

Came for a conference at Tilburg University. The hotel is near a beautiful forest, the room was large, clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice and professional. The hotel is right near the campus and within walking distance from the train station if you travel light. The only drawback is that being near the university and the forest means there is nothing to do near the hotel other than taking beautiful nature walks and holding deep scholarly talks. Of course, this is not as tragic as I make it as the hotel is a short ride from the center of town...other than the neighborhood's lack of night life, really nice and recommended. I would gladly stay there again.

The hotel is a fair distance from the town of Tilberg and taxis will cost around 15 Euro per trip, however the hotel have bicycles for hire. Breakfast is lovely however the service and coffee both appear to be in short supply. Overall a lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings, though a bit tired and tatty for it's 4 star rating.

My husband and I were in Tilburg to visit friends and needed a quiet place to stay. The hotel was comfortable, cozy, and provided a real retreat for us after a long trans-Atlantic flight into Schipol. The front desk helped us find a charming restaurant for dinner, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. We highly recommend the hotel, and would stay there again if we are in the area.

Old fashioned, small rooms, high humidity damp bedding and every weekend they have parties, but therefore a lot of noise pollution, even at 4 am in the hotel rooms. They apologized, many guests complained and that was it. We travel a lot, this was by far the worst the worst room in relation to its price.

Hotel immerso nel verde con buon rapporto qualita prezzo ma molto lontano dal centro abitato e senza alcun collegamento. La stanza era fredda e quando siamo arrivati il riscaldamento spento nella camera. Su nostra richiesta alla receptioniste ci è stato detto di accendere il termostato del termosifone. Sul letto c'era un piumino ed una coperta lisa ed un po sporca. Peccato poiché basterebbero piccole attenzioni per migliorare.

Ba een vriendelijke ontvangst en goede recenties gelezen te hebben, hadden we goede verwachringen van het verblijf. Helaas was de badkamer alles behalve schoon, met verschillende plekken waar nog hoopjes haar lagen en schimmel in de douche. Na een nachtje slapen werden we onverhoopt wakker door de drukke aanliggende weg die je erg goed kan horen. Kortom, voor ons een teleurstelling.

Kamers zijn niet erg gebruiksvriendelijk. Douche is in bad, niet gebruiksvriendelijk en niet van deze tijd. Met een te smal glazenschermpje waar het water langs spat op de vloer. Bed was prima en comfortabel. Voor een twee sterren hotel zou het qua kamer een prima kamer zijn. Wel zat er wat (leek op) schimmel in de hoeken en gleuven van het douchebad. Dat mag je niet verwachten van een 4-sterrenhotel.

Prijs-kwaliteit is (veel) te duur. Locatie is leuk bij het bos, omgeving is mooi. Wel aan drukke weg.

Ontbijt was ook niet overtreffend. Niet beter dan in een gemiddeld 2-sterrenhotel. Wel hadden ze port-salut (wat je normaalgesproken niet snel vindt bij het ontbijt). Er was geen personeel te vinden (er liep 1 iemand in het pand rond, waardoor je bij vragen of gebrek aan bestek niet makkelijk geholpen kon worden. Eten smaakte verder prima (wel jammer dat lege zaken niet werden aangevuld). Een half uur voor eindtijd ontbijt waren er enkele dingen niet meer.

Perfect stay in Tilburg

This hotel had everything you could expect. The parking area is free and has a lot of space. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We even got a glass of prosecco when we arrived. Our room was clean and spacious with a nice bathroom and comfortable beds. Tilburg centrum and the La Trappe brewery is both less than an hour away if you bring your own bike (as we did). The hotel is placed in a forest/park, but close to an access road. However, we did not hear any noise from the road when inside our room. The breakfast was absolute fabulous, especially when you consider the ongoing corona situation which the hotel handled very well. We did not eat at the restaurant because we already had other plans, but the restaurant seemed to be very popular. We will definitely stay at this hotel when visiting the Tilburg area in the future.
