Be ready for quiet solitude

This would be the place if you wanted to recover from a surgery in private, or write a book, or otherwise off the beaten path and without interruption. There are no bike rentals or on/off property tour options. There is no bar and the dinner option is kind of cafeteria style versus ordering a restaurant option. There is no AC in at least studio and the suite off site. That suite is at the road intersection of the driveway approach about 1000 feet from the main building. The suite is more of a rebuilt attic with the sloping ceilings and it is not large by any means. But the grounds are well kept and the building looks neat. Again, a great place if you do not want to be near town or any real access.

It is hard to locate the property, poor data connectivity and rooms kind of smell bad. I had to vacate the room and find a new hotel late night.

Really nice place in the very quiet area.. It was sunny evening, nobody was actually on desk, but keys were waiting with all the needed information. Old mansion or even castle, free parking, great spaces, great garden,. breakfast was very okay. worth visiting!

We booked this property several days in advance for our honeymoon. Unfortunately my wife ended up getting sick enough to go to the hospital. We informed the hotel as soon as we found out we would be cutting our trip short, and provided hospital visit verification. We politely simply asked for a refund, which was denied. Not diminishing the property (it looks beautiful and we wished we could see it) but giving low rating due to compassion for our circumstance.

The location was serene but far from the nearest train station. If you want a relaxing break, it is ideal. The breakfast was good. But afternoon and evening meals were not great. The staff were nice and most spoke Englisg and were helpful.

Absolutely Shambolic - Fawlty Towers of Geneva

It is fair to say that this is without exception the most unfortunate property I have ever booked through hotels.com . It has absolutely no place being offered on this website . Suffice it to say that on arrival ( in the middle of nowhere - even the taxi driver was astonished ) there were no reception staff - my key was left on the desk together with an invitation to walk 400 metres to my room in a building up the road. The room was in the roof - had no windows - and was furnished from a junk shop . Total ripoff - we left and booked elsewhere

Chateau is outside the city, situated in the midst of beautiful farmland. In the backyard, the alps and Lake Geneva are visible. It is beautiful, however I had to pay almost &200 for the taxi (roundtrip) to get there. There is train but to walk 1.2 km is too challenging

Good touring base for Geneva area (inc Chamonix)

Stayed here 4 nights as a good base (by car) for touring Geneva, Lausanne, and into France as far as Annecy & Chamonix..Beautiful grounds and view of Alps across Lake Geneva.

Pretty convenient 20 mins or so drive from downtown Geneva and airport. CERN also easily reachable. Whilst Lausanne and Montreux are an hour or so in the other direction.

Room was clean/modern (in a somewhat spartan continental style) - which is well represented in the hotel room photos. Continental breakfast was fine/convenient - particularly liked the fresh croissants!

A good base for touring the area (if you have a car) - and so much cheaper than any equivalent room in Geneva!

Very clean, in a bit of a rural setting. So no walkable shopping place closeby. Staff at the front desk was really nice and helpful - I requested a late checkout and it was not an issue. Tons of parking as it is a chateau.
Getting to is a bit of a fun drive through country roads. Bathrooms are shared, there’s a sink in the room with hairdryer. Beautiful views of the lake and mountains once you step outside or maybe from some other rooms, so if you are looking for a serene, quiet, place and want to experience staying at a chateau, it’s really nice and well managed with all the modern amenities. About 20-25 min from geneva. Breakfast was quite basic, so if you have picky eaters make sure you ask what else they can serve.

The property is beautiful, peaceful, excellent breakfast. The bedrooms are simple, but comfortable. It's in the middle of fields, so not walkable to any other places. We didn't have a car so a bit limiting, but lovely even so.

I would not recommend this property. I thought they would give me a bedroom in the main building, but they gave me a room in a remote building called the Grange. It was me, my wife and my son. We were given a bedroom in the Atico, with no side windows, just a window in the roof. It was clean but there were spiders. The worst was the feeling of claustrophobia, even more so without AC. It was the worst lodging I have taken in my life. I do not recommend them be careful. When I made the reservation through Expedia they showed me photos with windows, it is bad advertising.

Nos dieron un dormitorio en el Atico, sin ventanas laterales, solo una ventana en el techo. Si estaba limpio pero habian arañas. Lo peor fue la sensacion de claustrofobia, mas aun sin AC. Fue el peor hospedaje que halla tomado en mi vida. No se los recomiendo tengan cuidado. Cuando hice la reserva por Expedia me mostraron fotos con ventanas, es un mal advertising.

The main building is beautiful. The area is peaceful, green and well maintained. Getting there is a bit tricky, but in the end we managed. We arrived at about 21:30 and there was nobody at the Reception desk, but they've left the key with information how to get to our building. The breakfast was really nice and the receptionist when we checked out was very polite. It was a nice stay and it is a pity we didn't have more time to walk in the gardens.

I don’t know where to begin. If you’re going by car you’ll be alright. There is almost nothing in the area but I went for the nature. If you are going to take the bus and walk then you’re in for an adventure. They don’t tell you this and there are no signs but you are supposed to literally walk through a field to get to the property. Which would be nice and beautiful if you knew for sure you were going the right way. The beginning of the path just past he cemetery is there past that it’s grass that’s knee high. The gps doesn’t work well past that point and it shows you have to cross a river. Which again knowing this before hand would be great because there is a bridge to cross apparently. I thought for sure the gps must be tripping so I turned around and took the “car” route. It took 30 minutes in all of walking and once you get to the property you have to walk to another property where you actually stay. It’s basically a hostel with your own room. It’s loud, the walls are paper thin, shared bathroom, no ac, front desk or anything around. Switzerland is beautiful but for what you pay here just stay at a hostel in town or spend the extra money for a hotel because if not you’ll have to rely on a bus and a train each way with a cost.

It is a beautiful location, but not really set up for a romantic getaway, which is what we were looking for. Paper thin walls, babies, conferences (lots of noise and talking) and a picture of Mary and Jesus over the bed... which are all ok, if it's not to be a romantic weekend 😅

A lovely place to stay! Rooms have everything you would need and the staff was very accomodating. I didn’t enjoy the restaurant at all. It was like a lunch cafeteria ... not a buffet. So try and avoid staying at this hotel in Sunday’s when everything else is closed - or you’ll have to eat there.

Location requires your own transportation, but if you have rented a car, it is a lovely tranquil setting, that is still quite close (20 km) to Geneva. Very nice location. Twin bed rooms with a shared bathroom. Was nevertheless very private and convenient. Staff was very helpful. A very nice stay overall.

It was a good experience, living in an old Chateau and walking in its estate and in the surrounding countryside. Very friendly and helpful staff, it was a pleasure dealing with them

Do NOT use the taxi service recommended by the hotel . we used it for a 1.7 km drive to Ecole Internationale (International school of Geneva) Chataigneraie and had to cough up CHF 35 for the privilege. On the other hand, UBER ride to the city (to Fusterie- a 30 minutes drive) cost us a mere CHF 42. Thereon, it was UBER all the way.

The Chateau does not offer airport pick and drop shuttle so again, I recommend UBER for this as airport taxis are expensive.

Food is served at fixed timings in limited buffet, and was very good. In between meals, there is free Tea or Coffee self service in the lobby area. No room service. Lack of it did not bother us at all.

A Beautiful Place to Stay!

The grounds are unbelievable! Wow! The rooms feel more like a dorm setting, so don't expect the Ritz. But everything is clean and nicely appointed. The staff is very nice and the food is great! This was a real place of renewal for us. Did I mention the grounds? Wow!!!! You won't regret your stay here. We loved it!

The Chateau is not a hotel in the conventional way as it is a conference centre which offers accommodation in a small village setting. We knew this so there was no problem but you need to be aware of it. A car is a necessity.

Nice clean quiet hotel near the airport.

This hotel is part of the Ecumenical Conference Centre so has a peaceful serene atmosphere.
There is a small restaurant where you have breakfast and can order an evening meal.
The location is fantastic for Geneva airport as it is only 15 minutes away by the motorway. There is a large shopping Centre nearby or you can travel into Divonne Les Bains on the French Border.
It is located down some quiet country roads but has beautiful views over Lac Leman and the French Alps. There is ample parking and free wifi.
There are lots of country walks and cycle paths.

Breakfast available and what a fabulous spread indeed. Accommodation pretty much brand new and in fabulous condition - very luxurious! Cet endroit est magnifique à la campagne! Paisible, belle vue, possibilité de faire du vélo (à votre disposition sur place). Le seul bémol est que le personnel était en congé à notre arrivée et le restaurant de l'hôtel fermé à cause du vendredi saint, mais nous n'avions pas été prévenus. Nous avons dû retourner vers Genève pour nous trouver quelque chose à manger. Sinon, l'emplacement est superbe!

Wir waren total alleine. Es war niemand da, noch an der Rezeption noch in der Küche. Fast gespenstig in diesem Schloss im Winter. Aber alles gut vorbereitet. Die Schlüssel lagen parat, ein kaltes Plättchen war vorbereitet. Der Getränkeautomat bot auch ein Glas Wein. Man brauchte dafür aber viel Münz.

Cadre magnifique et reposant avec un personnel très sympathique et accueillant. Petit déj et repas copieux et de bonne qualité. Chambre grande et confortable mais sommaire. A savoir que les chambres vue lac donnent sur la terrasse servant au restaurant ce qui par temps chaud est un peu bruyant avec les fenêtres ouvertes.
