We arrived from our flight from London and were greeted very pleasantly by the staff. The room was clean and well prepared, and the instructions for assembling the sofa bed were clear and easy to follow. A small kitchenette was available, which was very convenient.

Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of choices for both adults and children. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We’re very much looking forward to staying here again on 30th December.

Some of the light bulbs were not working in the room. But hopefully that was a one off,

Good location, free parking, swimming pool and reasonable price.

Yes the hotel is very dated but we were made to feel welcome, had clean presentable room with fresh ironed bedding and towels and a very good tasty breakfast to suit all tastes. We slept well and it was a good base to explore Geneva and Annecy without the unrealistic hotel prices you see in the cities.

The rooms are dirty and certainly in need of refurbishing, I will credit the pool as this was the only positive point of hotel , it’s definitely a 2 star hotel and that’s generous. If this what Expedia dish out I will look elsewhere in the future.

This is a really well-managed hotel/apartment. The apartment is super spacious, beds are super comfortable, balcony huge, and cupboards are well stocked with crockery and essentials, if you decide to prepare small meals/snacks. Breakfast is delicious, lots of choice and so many choices! Staff are so welcoming and very helpful. Front desk staff, cleaning staff, restaurant staff all brilliant! I will definitely stay here again. It is also very close to carrefour supermarket (walking distance) and for Muslim guests, there’s halal restaurants to the left (3/4 mile) down from the hotel. There’s local parks too, and also Voltaires residence and statue in the square! It’s also 10 mins from Switzerland! Super practical and ideally located between both countries! We loved staying here! Thank you to everyone from Jahanara, Zak and Zain R.

This hasn’t been my first time in La Reserve but, unfortunately, might be the last one. It’s very well located and they keep it fairly clean but internet never worked (not even to read emails, forget about having a video conference or watch YouTube videos). Toilet malfunction (which we get it, it happens) but we had to beg to get a different room (afternoon switching rooms Internet kept being useless). Staff is friendly and they do their best but in Ferney there are few options for eat/drink and, on a Friday night, hotels bar was closed!

I honestly wasn’t expecting a whole lot from our stay, we just needed a place to sleep for an early flight out of Geneva. We were so pleasantly surprised! The staff went above and beyond to help us with dinner options, pointing us to the small town a short walk away for a great restaurant. When we arrived back after dinner, we sat in the lobby bar and had drinks and visited with the bartender and the man from the front desk who checked us in and they were so fun and friendly. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was so comfortable. Our last night in Europe was an unexpected delight because of our stay here. Thank you!

This property would be perfect if it was better maintained. Obviously, staff supervision is lacking. The room that was initially given to me was small, uncomfortable (bed sagging), poorly cleaned, with appliances that did not work. A leak also developed in the bathroom, so I was transferred to better accommodations, but cleanliness was still not what it should have been for this category of property. Some staff are friendly and helpful, but some others should be better trained in handling the residence's guests. This property is overpriced in my view. The only good thing about it is the location near town (Ferney Voltaire), Geneva, and the Geneva Airport.

If you arrive or come back to the hotel in the midnight, you should let the receptionist know. Otherwise, they will lock the door, I guess for safety reasons, until they open at 5:30 am. You can actually open the door by tapping your room card but it does not work sometimes especially when you put your card with your phone in your pocket so try not to put it in your pocket. It won’t also work when opening your room door. But all in all, it’s a decent hotel. Employees are very nice!! :)

Very convenient for car/public transport access to Geneva. Excellent service and friendly, multi-lingual staff. Common facilities, especially dining and swimming pool, are in very good condition. Our small room (no balcony) could use a bit of renewal (stained carpet, shower leaks) but the bed, air conditioning, TV and kitchenette were very good. Overall I am very happy with the choice of La Reserve for our 4-day stay in the area.

We landed in Geneva, this is close to airport but its France.
Hard to find Uber.
Good accommodation, decent space. Not so clean. Sofas are converted to beds, but not so great if its longer than day or two.

Cheap price for the area, breakfast was too expensive.
Parking was easy and free which was a big plus.
Rooms were ok but not as nice as most hotels, The bed wasn’t very comfortable.
For the price and being near Geneva it was good.

The hotel room they put us in had the most dusty air-conditioning that there can be. The air-conditioning kept throwing out dust into the whole room we only noticed the dust next morning. Me being dust allergic that didn't help and now suffering from it. We let the reception know about and all they had to say was that they will let manager know. Not happy at all.

The property is nowhere like in the photo. We rented a two-storeyed apartment. It was very cramped. The property is badly maintained. Every item was old. The air conditioner (heating) on the first floor made noise and didn't work. We had rented for 4 days but we were so upset that we checked out in 2 days.

The rooms are large and well kept. There are no amenities to speak of. No coffee, tea, washing up liquid for dishes, etc. hall rug had sizable red wine spill. Brasserie was terrible for dinner but breakfast was good. Staff very helpful. Easy transport to Geneva and to airport by bus.

I know check in is strict in Europe but as a regular traveler hotels have often made an exception for me. This hotel would not even make a 30 mins exception. Our flight came in very early, we were jet lagged and traveling with 2 small children. We waited for 5 hours and even ended up checking us in late. The front desk staff was not very friendly or welcoming and even ignored me a few times. One of them even charged my husband’s card for the entire stay when he went to check out even though I had paid Expedia already. And then she wanted to charge us for breakfast on top of it even though it was included in the nightly rate. Our room was in poor condition. The bathroom smelled even after they cleaned it. The shower curtain was way too long and was bunched up inside the tub. There was insufficient lighting in the rooms. Decor was extremely dated. Curtains were broken. Spiderwebs present. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The hair dryer kept breaking. The TV kept going in and out stating internet was week. The coffee machine broke at breakfast one day. The property seemed severely understaffed.

Space... but....

We stayed at an apartment, and it was good about space and confort at the beds; but the bathroom was a Little disappointing (courtin at the bathub and old furniture).
The pool is ok.
The other disappointing side was the breakfast, poor offer and no service at all (we had to do it ourselves). No gluten free offer.

This hotel appears to be in a muslim section of the Geneva airport region, which is France and this should be pointed out. Poor selection of restaurants is the area. Hotel is old and not well kept up. Not enough employees and it took 30 minutes to check in with no one waiting but me.

Everything was amazing the staff were so friendly and helpful. However please make sure you get the shuttle buss 66. Don’t pay for taxi. Because since this is in border of France. There is no Uber there. Also I didn't like their shampoos. Other than that. Amazing experience. The pool was little cold.

This was me returning to La Reserve after two years when at the time I was a bit of a regular. Now under new management which is glaringly obvious after previous visits.
First evening began with the waiter in the restaurant being one of the most unprofessional I have come across... “what do you want?” being his opening line after that anything I needed I had to get for myself. Could just be disgruntled due to the lack of help on his side but maybe not.
So I decided not to eat there for the rest of the week. The food on the evening was average and below the quality of previous visits.
Had to question the hygiene of the kitchen when I saw the chef 5 km away in his kitchen scrubs!!!
Front desk needs help, one person on!
Asked for basic toiletries on the second day because these are not replenished daily, not appropriated by reception.
House keeping also failed to clean the terrace all week even though it was covered in bird droppings and I requested it.
Only saving feature of this place is the pool area and gym
Overall I would consider the majority of this the fault of the new owner who has failed to give adequate support to staff!

Arrived at 2:50 and they wouldn’t let us check in until 3pm... said we had to wait 10 min even though there were rooms ready.

No taxis or Uber’s can pick you up and bring you to the center of Geneva or airport because it’s ACROSS THE BOARDER. It’s so difficult to get to and leave from.

Also - they give you a mop for the bathroom because the bathroom floors overflow and you have to push the water into th drain.

This hotel is disgusting and so not enjoyable. We stayed here for one night because we had to catch a connecting flight but otherwise, we would have switched hotels.

We booked very last minute. When we arrived we found the receptionist most unhelpful and so what rude. The room was clean and spacious but had no information on the hotel as what was available for us, how to work the TV excetra.
It's a hotel that I have past on my many trips to ferney voltair and always wanted to stay. I have to say I was a little disappointed

The bed was hard & very uncomfortable. One of the beds had a big dip in the middle. Our room was right on the street & it was very noisy all night. Finally, the “carpet” was sticky and wet in spots. Only good thing was there was great water pressure in the shower.

Got a studio for an incredible price. The building is dated however very well maintained. The studio was about generously spaced at about 300 square feet and was clean with a decent layout. My sister had loft style one bedroom unit which had a sofa bed that was very comfortable . There is a bus stop about 100 feet away from the hotel making it very convenient if you are heading for daily outing to Geneva and nearby areas . The front desk staff are incredibly nice and friendly , especially the Thai lady

Bit of scam... I booked a 'mountain view room'... upon check-in I was informed that - being in the Alpes - one can 'see' mountains from all rooms... the rooms away from the street are 'park view rooms'... see the photos I uploaded and judge for yourself whether this view can be marketed as any view whatsoever... straight onto a round-about... traffic starting at 530am... shenanigans like this turn me off... too many other hotels in the area.

We chose this location because of it's proximity to airport and Geneva downtown was fully booked. We were not disappointed. Staff was very accommodating. Pool was clean and water temp perfect. Had dinner at the restaurant and thought everything was fantastic. Close to Ferny-Voltaire downtown as well as a Carrefour, both walking distance. About a 30 minute drive to downtown Geneva. Would stay again

The location is the best thing about this hotel, close to Geneva and beyond just over the border in Switzerland and a drive from beautiful lake Annecy, Yvoire and Mont Blanc among other must see places in France. It is, however, billed as a 4 star hotel - which it doesn’t feel like. The family room allocated to us was well past it’s use by date, with a stained and noisy sofa bed and carpets. The worst part was that it was described as having a mountain view. It actually overlooked a busy roundabout and 5 storey apartment blocks. The balcony had so little privacy and was so noisy that we couldn’t use it to sit out in at the end of a busy day travelling. I asked immediately to change rooms but could not be accommodated. On the other hand, the pool area was great and the staff were lovely.

Horrible experience. Tried to confirn late arrival. No responses to emails, chats, etc. When we got there, the bathroom light does not work. The AC barely cooled the room nd made noise all night. 2 stars at best - nowhere close to 4 stars. Will not come back.
