Very convenient location to go to CERN's prevessin site. The accommodation is peaceful, and has the equipment needed for longer stays, such as kitchenette, laundry etc. The shops are quite far away, so having a bike or car whilst staying there is best.

The apartment is near to Geneva and grocery, but it is in the middle of no where, looked like a residential apartment in a dead end road. So, if you are coming with a taxi in the middle of night, this might be a bit scary. Day time should be ok.
Free parking on site, but you will need to move your luggages put to the stairs.
We just came in and out to sleep and made some light meals and we have a car, so this place is comfortable for 6 of us.
Paid laundry is 4 euros and accept credit card. i think they have dryer too.
No aircon, just fan and it was a bit warm at night, in the middle of heat wave, but not too bad.
There are constructions going on right bbeside or opposite to the apartment.

Poor communication out of hours

Tried contacting them to say we will arrive late but couldn’t get through. Check in instructions were sent but went to my spam email. So arrived and couldn’t get hold of anyone on the out of hours number. Eventually we did after maybe an hour.

If you are visiting Geneva, but would like to stay in the outskirts, this is def the place to go! It is an hour away on the bus. There is the local tpg bus system that runs everyday. It is right around the corner. The area is very quiet and has all the basic amenities needed. It was perfect for a group of 5!

Functional and clean, quiet and bright. They upgraded us from a studio to a 1 bedroom apartment, and it had a view of trees and mountains, which was fabulous. Laundry facilities onsite were great.

Тому, так як я був із дружиною та сином, у нас виникала проблема із підключенням двох телефонів та дитячого планшета одночасно. Решту все непогано. Затишне та спокійне місце. Рекомендую.

Hotel was advertised as being an airport hotel. It is a 15 to 20 minute drive from the airport. Hardly an airport hotel. Hotel itself is basic level quality, no a/c, and not close to any amenity such as store.

Came back at night to find the patio door open, bed linens gone, towels gone. Fortunately I had left no belongings except clothes - no valuables. Room was a bit shabby - could use minor repairs and a fresh coat of paint.

Good for extended trip if you have a car

The place was nice and clean. The internet is very good. It has a kitchenette which is nice for longer stays. The only issue is that the location requires a car for the most part (which is fine for me, but may not appeal to some).

Peaceful location, very accommodating

Spacious clean room, kitchen, bathroom, and balcony. Spent amazing mornings on the balcony eating breakfast, looking at wonderful countryside and mountains. Literally minutes from Geneva city centre. Wonderful park and town close by, walking distance from the hotel. Highly recommended!

The keyless entry was cool. I liked that we could pick up our key anytime. It was a little out of the way, and the beds were not very comfortable. The shower was also freezing cold our last night. I asked for coffee cream and they told me they didn't have any - and I can't drink coffee without cream. They also do not clean the room daily.

Although in excellent proximity to CERN, this hotel has no air conditioning and poor ventilation. In hot weather, the room was very uncomfortable and it was difficult to get any air flow. I had to sleep with the balcony door open, which meant the bugs came into the room. The cleanliness of the room could have been better.

good amount of space

It was very handy having that amount of space with the children (aged 3 and 5) and though it was basic I do feel it was good value for money. We were out most of the time so really only went back to sleep but the beds were comfy, though we couldn't get the TV working, mind you we didn't try that hard as weren't really bothered.

For the price paid, this was a really nice clean and practical aparthotel with spacious living accomedation and friendly staff. The only nagatives were the lack of places to eat out nearby and no English speaking tv channels.

Good option for booked out Geneva

Stayed out here because Geneva was totally booked for Sibos convention.
Nice clean big quiet rooms. Group was happy with hotel.
Beware that it is outside of town, so no nearby restaurants, and you have to take a taxi into Geneva... was 40-60 CHF each day, and Uber does NOT pick up from this hotel because it is in France. Ubers back at night were 1/2 the cost of the taxi.

Pros:
Nice location in the countryside not far from Ferney-Voltaire and Geneva.
Studio with kitchenette allows preparation of simple meals.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Would make a very pleasant place to stay for several days if rules were enforced and main problems below were tackled by Management.

Cons:
Hotel is hard to find--even with a GPS.
Studios are very small, bed occupying most of the space. Antiquated TV doesn't really work. Furniture is really below basics.
Bed was a sleeping sofa, therefore not very comfortable.
Cleanliness a serious problem throughout. This is mostly the reason I am rating the place only \"2\".
Plumbing is noisy when hot water is turned on.
Security also a problem. While guests need a code to enter the front doors of the building, side doors located at each end of that building (opening on corridor leading to studios) are constantly kept open (day and night) by some residents living in another building. This breach of security was reported to staff, who closed the doors, but the following day doors were kept open again. Since a busy road is located nearby, risks are not negligible, especially for studios located on the ground floor.
Noise was a problem during the weekend. Residents living in nearby building gather on the lawn for lunch, dinner, etc., making noise until late at night without concern for others.
Overpriced considering all of the above.
Not recommended for business travelers.

Sad experience, I will never use them again.

Hotel states very close to CERN with bus transportation, but not so. Bus schedules run every ever hour and not on Sundays, and it is very far to walk to CERN. Not practical and misleading. They provide a bus schedule that is two years old showing different buses to take, which now have changed, and very bad for a rainy day.

They cannot provide sufficient toilet paper for three days stay, and not one ever come to clean the room.

They charge additional taxes, which should be charge when making the booking.

As a result of hotel misinformation, needed to rent a car to get to the airport on time, at a cost of $150.00. Never do it again.

Excellent value--IF your cabbie can find it

and IF you have a car with an exceptional GPS. Three cabbies at Geneva airport refused to take me to this hotel before their supervisor assigned one. The hotel is in France, not in Switzerland; and arriving at this near-Geneva-Airport hotel cost me more than twice as much ($60 euros) as returning to the airport! I can't blame the first cabbie--the place (131 Mandement Impasse, Prevessin-Moens, Switzerland OR France) isn't listed on GPS. Nor, as I learned from the hotel, is their correctly spelled \"Mendement\" Impasse. Whose fault this is I have no idea, but the second address did turn up on a bus-map of the city I found while walking to a \"nearby\" grocer.

The lodging itself: typical ugly modern box-design but with hardly rare views of the mountains and the next-door farm (cows'n'all). Breakfast, in an incredibly cramped room (empty of humans but without a single cleared, set table) cost 10 euros and was utterly blah. I grabbed an egg (raw) and a cup of milk for my instant coffee back in the room and left. Though I paid for two days' breakfast when I arrived, I skipped the second day.

The room, however, was a very pleasant surprise: adequate kitchen area with dining table; long desk & small desk table with chairs and a sofa in the living room; queen bed in the bedroom with very small end-shelves & lamps and bureau' and fairly large separate bath and toilet rooms, good closet and storage space--all immaculate.

The place itself and the room was lovely, although do not get a room with a sofa bed. It was very uncomfortable and not much sleep was had. Only come here if you have a car. Although walking from Ferney Voltaire was fun once, we do not enjoy it more and had to hitchhike as the O bus did not run often (every hour) and not on Sunday. The lady working had no information about local attractions or amenities but the food vans, patisserie and supermarket in Prevessin-Moens made our holiday with their quality. The local village people are excellent.

This hotel is the perfect base to explore Geneva and surrounding areas. It has everything for a comfortable stay and facilities to cook if required. The only thing I have to say is we had use of a car which made things easier. I think it would be pretty awkward otherwise.

the staff are so unfriendly> I paid for breakfast and came at 9:35am she they breakfast ends at 9:30 don't know why not at 10:am. The guy did not even let me get a cup of coffee . you can not find drinking water or food, if you ask the reception to hel you make an order they say no delivery, so I think the jail is better. anyway I had the worst experience and left at 10:am next morning

Typical residence hotel; best with a car

I arrived on a foggy evening by bus from Geneva airport, which proved more challenging than the hotel's directions suggested. There is no sign or other indication of the hotel's location once you get off the bus, and the small road described in the directions is not obvious. It is some distance away, dark and unlit, and the hotel cannot be seen from the street. Walking down that tiny deserted dirt road in the pitch black is an act of faith. Best to take a taxi if you do not have a car.

This is a typical residence hotel, with a small kitchen in each room. My studio room was small but functional; nothing to complain about but nothing special either. The nice continental breakfast for an additional 10 euros must be booked in advance.

There are no English stations on the hotel's TV but the free Internet access worked well for streaming.

Very rude hotel staff

I stayed at this hotel on 22nd November as I read good comments online and wanted a cheap place to crash for a night. I reached around 8 pm and it was snowing outside. Not only did the lady at reception not tell me correctly where and how to open the main door but I had to pay city tax of 88 cents. Coming from Geneva, I had franks and dollars and offered to pay by card the dues as well. She made a frowns face that it is too low amount charge for card. I agreed and offered to pay dollars / franks in cash of higher amount. She told me it was ok. Next day morning when I went to check out a different lady at the counter asked me for balance and won't let me leave. I was getting late for my international flight so I offered to pay by card , which she charged. I was surprised that they had no records of previous night and wasted my time for 88 cents on city tax. Mind you, they had full right to collect it from me but their inflexibility to take dollar or franks and flip flop on card left a very bad taste. For \"proximity\" to Geneva airport, I ended up paying 45 franks on taxi and any hotel on Swiss side might as well do it. They are in France and you do cross border and potential delay on customs. Not worth the hazzle.

It was all right for an overnight

It was difficult to find even with a sat nav from the airport in Geneva. I did like the setup, but it was a little hollow, for lack of a better word. I did feel like I had to take the pay for breakfast, but that was okay. It was a good quiet place to get some sleep after a really long trip.

Great for a longer stay

Convenient and friendly, spoilt because the heating had been left off and it didn't get warm for several hours. Would recommend it to anyone looking for cheap and practical accommodation near Geneva, especially for a more than a day or two. It's a proper studio, not just a bedroom.

The hotel is OK. As it is an \"aparthotel\", there is no service. The rooms are good, the kitchen itself is good. The amount and quality of pots, pans, and silverware is variable--sometimes great, sometimes, well, not so great.
In the singles, one gets a sofa bed. As with kitchen equipment, the quality is variable, some are fine, others ensure one awakes wishing for the comfort found under a bridge down by the river. For the price it is OK to very good, depending on the room one happens to get.

Very reasonable rates near the Geneva Airport.

Everything is automated so there was no one that we could talk to. If you needed extra pillows or anything else it was a challenge. But the room served my handicapped needs and it was clean. It is a very interesting system of automation that controls the check in, check out and room occupancy.

5 miles from Geneva Airpport by road, this property is good value for the area and the studio apartment was well equipped. Only criticism (but it is a minor one), the room wasn't air conditioned and was stuffy during the day and night, although this stay was in the height of summer and the temperature in the daytime was in the low 30s. A fan would have helped.

Inaccessible Hotel

No one should believe that this is a Geneva airport hotel. There is no reliable way from the airport to the hotel unless you rent a car with a GPS. The hotel has no 24 hour telephone number, so when a taxi driver cannot find it, and it is very difficult to find, you will not find it. Do not even begin to think that taxis are available on the French side of the Geneva Airport! The call box does not answer, and the number given on the wall, that says \"Call Taxi\", is no longer valid, and probably hasn't been for years. If you go to the Swiss side of the airport, where there are many taxis, you may find a driver willing to take you, or not, but know that if he does, it'll cost at least CHF 45, which will largely reduce any saving you thought you would have by booking this, or any \"French side\" hotel. I travel a great deal. This is a hotel not to book unless you know exactly how you will get there and you have transportation.

Great Airport Hotel - Do It Yourself Style

You can use google maps to get you there but overall the hotel needs better signs. The hotel is basic but clean, comfortable and cheap. About 10 or 15 mins from the airport but again, would recommend you use gps or google maps to navigate to and from.

Note we arrived after reception had closed and left before it opened so did not contact a staff member. But the directions were easy about how to pick up key and drop it off.

A great find, for a property near to Geneva this is inexpensive. You probably need your own transport but the apartments are well equipped. No english-speaking TV or radio available in the room but free wi-fi compensated for that.

Though it is designed for longer stays, Residhome is a perfect place for an early departure from Geneva airport. It is only minutes away but was significantly cheaper than other surrounding hotels. The kitchen would also allow for a longer stay if you are visiting the area. The only drawback was that my room had a sleeper sofa instead of a bed. It was fine for one night but might be an issue for a longer stay.
Also, the reception is only staffed from 7-7pm but the key box works very well for both pick-up and drop-off.

This is an apartment hotel. We arrived at 10 pm and the reception was closed. Apparently we had to get there by 8 pm. No food services nearby but the room had a kitchen (1 bedroom apartment with sofabed good for family of 4). Had to phone someone to get access to our room but they were courteous and helped us get into our room finally - although I dread the roaming charges. Security access door with elevators and easy entry. There was lots of space in a clean room with a microwave and dishes and free internet and TV. So, one of the best rooms at a very, very reasonable cost if you are visiting Geneva or nearby areas. Very close to the hotel. It's officially in France but just 10 minutes from the border. Easy commute to Geneva by car. A nice little secret next time we are out there. Gas as cheaper on the French side of the border as well.

Peace & Quiet in France

The hotel was joyfully out of the way from any main road. I like my quiet.
We foundthe hotel relatively easy to find. It was ideal for our festival in Meylin/Geneve which was only 5 minutes drive. The receptoin guy was friendly and helpful.
The hotel is relalitively new, well designed and secure. Our room was on the first floor, was very well designed and had a balcony. Extra was roll down blinds which allowed us to sleep when we liked. Parking was inlcuded and thecar was rightoutside the room, no long distance carrying of baggage.
The living/bedroomroom could have been better cleaned as there were cobwebs in the corners (which is really easy to deal with). The bathroom was spotless, which is more important.
the only unfortunate thing; the room was allocated as non-smoking. Some one had done some heavy smoking in the room and the couch-bed stunk, it was not a pleasant smell to fall asleep on. I should have noticed when I first entered the room. But after 8 hours driving I just wanted to sleep. I did look for the porter next day but the reception was closed and then it was closed all day Sunday. by then I couldn't deal with the hassle of moving rooms.
Overall, well worth the money. Good deal.

Residhome Le Carre d'Or

Hotel is located in the midst of green fields. It is rather un-hotelish as it has bungalows giving the feeling of staying at a home.
Though not in Geneva, it is only 15 to 20 minutes drive away - once you know your way. Not accessible through public transport.
The biggest drawback in my view is the directions to the hotel (if you dont have GPS). Major features such as CERN, Hotel Novotel...etc can be used as landmarks to facilitate direction.

Excellent place to stay!

This was a wonderful place to stay once we found it. It is very difficult to locate, but finally found a local map on the street and was able to find it. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. This is a gated hotel and we felt very secure. It was in a newer community not far from the airport and Geneva. We would stay again.

Clean, friendly staff, well equipped

Arrived late on Monday evening after a long walk and very pleased to meet a friendly gentleman behind the desk who could speak English very well (which was useful since my second language is German, not French). The complex appears to be secure with a main gate, electronic entry to the corridor and study doors to the room. The rooms were clean, spacious and very well equipped, including bath and shower, kitchen, dishwasher, TV, desk, free WiFi etc... At checkout, I was greeted by a friendly lady who also spoke clear English. Being a very last minute booking, the whole experience was very reassuring.
