The property is showing is a bit of wear although it is one of the cleanest properties we have stayed at. Everything worked. The staff were incredible. Gym had limited equipment. No longer have a hot tub. Rooms very colorful and reflective of the community. Sheets were too small for the bed. You should know enterance to room is from parking lot. We did love this. If you have a second floor room there is no elevatior. There also is not daily housekeeping and replenishement of towels. We would definately stay here again. Room spacious and clean.

The room, the architecture, the location the staff we’re all great. There was coffee do it yourself in the room. I usually like to go to the lobby for a full brewed cup. They do that but it’s not self served. Oh well.

Overall our stay was pleasant, yet we had some concerns. We were given a room as far away from the main desk/restaurant area as possible, and with only outdoor paths it was very cold. We made plans to eat at the restaurant our first night, but when we went down it was closed due to it being \"slow\". If you state that the kitchen is open until 9, then it should be. It would be really nice if there was actual fire in the lobby fireplace instead of unlit candles. One side of the bed was pretty worn as well. Lastly, we got 3 early morning wake up calls when we did not order any!

The room size was better than expected, the bed and bedding an pillows were fantastic, but we were there for 4 days and we were told when checking in that we would not get room service for 3 days, which meant no making our bed or fresh made rooms, but more than that, our coffees and creamers ran out, and we had to go to the front desk more than once to have items replenished in the room. The towels unfortunately felt like sandpaper, and we nearly ran out of body wash. the 3rd day ended up being Christmas, so we had no staff come on the 3rd day either. We paid nearly $200/night, I expect my room to be serviced for that cost. Then the food at the restaurants was amazing but the service was awful. We waited 15 minutes the first night to just get drinks, one bar tender for about 15 people. Then breakfast was excellent, but again the service was slow. When ketchup was brought to the table the server actually said, sorry this is empty, but never replaced a full ketchup. I usually never complain, but these were issues. The upside, the laundry app worked well, and the front desk staff were great. The hotel could do with a hot tub, seeing this is a ski resort type town. The decor was great and the atmosphere pleasant.

Every day I had to get replacement cards to get in my room-sometimes more than once. Had to go to the bar to get ice. One person at desk advised me to hunker down for the night after suggesting I was causing the problem by having my phone and card in my purse together. However my last night there the person at the desk was very nice and helpful. Waffle at breakfast could not be cut with a knife-had to tear it apart. Only ate there once.

I would think that for almost $200 a night there would be SOME amenities (such as coffee in the lobby). The breakfast service was the worst that I’ve ever experienced - no coffee refills, ridiculously long wait for food despite not being busy. Rooms were not cleaned during our two day stay. Everything was great until we got ready for bed and pulled back the bedding. The sheets were soiled, I took a picture and sent it to Samantha, the lady that reached out after check in to see if all was good. It was until bedtime. We were exhausted, ready for bed and did not want to move to another room. My husband put a towel down over the soiled area and slept on that side of the bed. Samantha said she sent the picture to her manager, but we never heard anything back. I would not be writing this now, but received the email asking about our stay.

This hotel is worn and appears not to have been refurbished for some time. Both rooms we were assigned were not properly cleaned--dirty towels left in the bathroom and a smear on the bedspread in one, a pile of sweepings behind the bathroom door in another.
To make matters worse, the hotel charges premium prices in line with luxury properties. This is NOT a luxury property. If you're expecting a Super 8 or Motel 6, you'll be satisfied. Otherwise, you'll be disappointed.

In my other stay, the bed had a comforter / duvet on it, which traps warmth as you sleep, so as your body temperature drops during sleep, you stay warm.
On this stay, the bed had only one thin blanket on it, which was not sufficient -- the weather in Taos goes down to the 40s F. at night by September.
I was going to ask for another blanket, but doubted that would help -- still too light for the weather. So I had to keep the heater on, which made the room too warm at times, and put extra bed pillows on and around me for warmth.
Last time I stayed at the hotel, the indoor pool was nicely heated. It didn't feel heated at all this time -- the water was cold.
The maid also didn't get to my room either day that I stayed there (I was there for two nights). I doubt this was her fault. This happened at another Hilton-owned hotel I stayed at over the summer. They clearly didn't have enough maids working for them.
These strike me as money-saving actions on the part of the hotel, which is a shame, because it discourages return stays.

We insisted on a better room which was available even though they said there were no other rooms available. She said she assumed we would want a first floor. Seemed agist.

The room that was originally assigned to us had a problem with the lock and we needed to be reassigned to a different room. For a Hilton Tapestry property, it was not that nice. The main lobby was nice but there was nothing that nice (or special) about the room. It was older and plain, and in need of updates.

Hotel is nice and quiet. My only gripe is the option to pay for breakfast in advance. That does not work; you get a $15 voucher per person per day, which seems fine at first, but then in reality it's impossible to eat onsite at that price, so we ended up paying $6-7 extra per person per day (incl. tip), and one day the restaurant was closed - no staff. Food was barely ok/warm on day 1, and then it was outstanding on day 2 (pistachio pancakes were great, I was told).

The Hotel is our consistent choice for business and personal visits to Taos, NM. My wife and I have been consistently pleased with hotel accommodations and food offerings. Kudos to Bob D’Antonio, Food and Beverage Manager, for his significant contributions to the hotels excellent food and beverage menus. He has always been attentive to details and open to suggestions. The mattress was old, lumpy, and uncomfortable. The chair was old, misshapen, and uncomfortable. Seriously like someone found the mattress and chair by the side of the road on garbage day, loaded them in a truck, then put them in the hotel room. We were tired and sore after trying to sleep in the bed. The room stank. The shower wouldn’t drain. Water was in the shower pan during our entire stay. The lampshade has holes in it. Bugs were crawling under the door.

The mural on the wall above the bed was unrecognizable. Faded beyond seeing what it was. Furniture outdated, looked like from the 80's. But the worst was the shower. The glass doors had not been cleaned in who knows how long. Calcium streaks down both doors. And I don't mean a few. They tell you on check in that they do not clean the rooms daily. It shows.
The door (opens to outside) had a gap big enough to let flies in. I would hate to be staying there in the winter!

We have stayed at this hotel before during a ski trip, the rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The hotel really needs some TLC. It is pretty dated and quite expensive. The pool had way too much chlorine in it, which we are sensitive to. It would be nice to have shaded public spaces.

I was disappointed in my expectation for a Hilton property. This looked like an older property that Hilton must have acquired. Lobby was very nice, and the food served in the lobby was good. Pool area looked tired. The outdoor layout was odd. I had to walk around buildings to get to the central courtyard of each section to get to my room. Walkways were rough, in need of work. Room had a crazy pepper design covering the entire wall. Bathroom looked like they slammed in a new shower and vanity, but wasn't remodeled correctly. Room was clean, and the bed was good. But not sure I'd come back.
