Hotel right outside the train station. Was structured as a luxury hotel but to do that you need to have air conditioning. Controls were in the room but seemed they were controlled by the hotel. Bathroom featured a full tub/showerhead combo. The edge was quite high. Keep in mind for people with mobility issues. Even I would have appreciated a step stool. There were a serious lack of outlets in the room as in nowhere to be found. Finally I unplugged the silly desk lamp to charge my phone. Also had to use the same outlet for the coffee machine which didn't work. Mini fridge was included in the room. Different animals painted on each door. Super cute.

The hotel is located extremely close to the train station. It does not have a parking space. So have to park in the parking lot of train station, which is expensive. However, if you take a train, it is really convenient to stay in this hotel. The room is OK.

AC didn’t work for at least 3 days. Asked the front desk and they kept saying tomorrow they’ll have someone but no one ever came. The rooms are quite small, even with the kitchenette but the appliances like the fridge, kettle etc. are convenient and work well. Hotel is located right outside the train station which is nice but the entrance and elevator all looks a bit old and worn.

Different from the listing, there is no parking on site and the staff was not helpful to locate a parking lot. We booked this property because it was listed with self-parking available. No AC in the room, carpet is dirty as if it had not been cleaned for decades.

Walkable for the entirety of Geneva. Close to the train station but not woken up. Definitely NOT a 4-star hotel as updates needed, hotel seems old and facilities falling apart.
Breakfast was poor, considering the price. Advertised time of 6am-10am, yet when I arrived at 7:45 there was hardly any choice left over, no breads, no croissants.
I’d stay here again, but definitely would not pay for breakfast during my stay.

Right next to the train station, so very convenient to get to the Geneva airport, but it was also too noisy to keep any windows open. (We couldn't get it cool enough in the room to sleep well.) Again, because it was so close to the train station it was a bit of a gritty neighborhood, but shops were very convenient (pharmacy, grocery, take-way meals.) The bed was comfortable and large but two wimpy pillows. We could hear EVERYTHING in the next room. The staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. I'd stay there again if I had an early flight or train to catch, but otherwise, I would stay elsewhere.

For a European hotel, this was a proper king size bed which was awesome for a great sleep before a long travel day. The restaurant attached to the hotel was amazing, and it’s literally right beside the train station & gave us free tickets to the subway to get to the airport which I didn’t even know was a benefit when I booked it. The bathroom was a bit small & I found I could hear all street noise & neighbour noise so that was my only slight downgrade from “excellent” to “good” but honestly it could’ve been that I just had a random bad sleep & I didn’t bother putting in ear plugs either. Overall a very good & convenient option!

the place is very close to places we want to go.
that was the good part.

the bad part we have to moved to a different room after our long tour of the city. We advised the desk before leaving for our tour to kindly have someone to check the cold water in the shower, but failed to do turn over that's why issues has not been resolve. We got transfer from 4th fl to 1st floor. which is hard after our long day tour.

please provide hotel email to me as we end up checking out one day early. and will request for a credit. i asked for the reception staff on e-mail but hotel e-mail on card don't work.

This is a great location to get anywhere in the city and beyond. It is right next to the train station. We walked everywhere we needed to go. Shops and restaurants nearby. It is an older facility with stone walls that appear to have noise issues as I could hear the next door guest on the TV and on the phone. The staff was wonderful.

The hotel is literally behind the station. Very convenient for travelling to & from Geneva.
The noise of the train was better than I thought it would be. Worse in the day. No trains at night so very quiet.
I didn't pay extra for breakfasts, so I cannot comment.

The reason however that I will be coming back are the staff. the front desk was the friendliest and nicest set of people to work with; they accommodated requests as they were able and I really felt taken care of (three different people and all were wonderful). An aged formerly-grand railway hotel, now it is in a gritty section of town and it is quite run-down.

We were surprised to find the restaurant and reception closed for ‘remodeling’, windows papered over, and a temporary reception desk perched in a hall. We were led around the corner to a service entrance to our room.

The room had all the charm and cheer of mid-60’s, wallpaper peeling, a bathroom extremely unsuitable to mobility-limited people, and constant street noise all night. Moldy smelling halls. No breakfast available. Parking was a few marked spots in an insecure outdoor lot a block away.

Maybe renovations will help, but this hotel has a very long way to go. The price should better reflect the many limitations and inconveniences.

That said, it is very convenient to the rail station, but so are several better looking hotels.

A little gem beside Cornavin

The hotel is reasonably priced and well located. The staff are both friendly and efficient. Despite being beside the train station, I didn't find it noisy at all when the window was closed. The only issue was that the heating system made the room very hot and my allergies flared up (perhaps due to the carpet or that they need to clean the filters in their air circulation system).

I got a good night's sleep here. The location was probably the best in the city for access to the railway station, which was ideal for me as I was staying in Geneva as a stop-over on a longer train journey. The price was high for a single bed without an included breakfast, but it was still among the cheapest options in the city for the date I stayed. If you're just looking for somewhere comfortable to stop over you'll be happy.
On the negative side:
The room had pretty poor sound proofing; I could hear snoring from the room next door, this seemed to be because the interior wall wasn't fully sealed against the (non flat) stone exterior wall. Sitting at the desk in that corner of the room, the sound was quite clear. Also worth mentioning is that the windows didn't block out all noise from the station. However, neither sound source was too loud and I'm not a light sleeper so this wasn't an issue for me.
The other problem I had was that the shower cubicle's sliding door had been removed and was resting loose against the frame. I'm not sure whether it had come off when a previous guest used it and maintenance hadn't got round to fixing it; it wasn't damaged, it just wasn't attached. In any case, the helpful receptionist offered to move me to another room but I declined as it wasn't a huge problem.
Overall, I had a comfortable stay in a convenient hotel; even though the building and room felt a bit tired and there are some sound issues, I'd happily stay there again.

Montbrilliant has lost some of its sparkle. Our room had mold in the shower calking and the shower door runner. The wallpaper was also peeling away badly in two rooms and they attempted to tape it back in place with packing tape. The room felt a little dingy. Completely different fell from our last stay 3-years ago

The hotel is conveniently located next to the main train station in Geneva. Whilst this is good in many respects, it can also mean it’s quite noisy during the night.

The reception / bar area is nicely decorated, but the rooms are quite dated. There is also a lack of plug sockets in the room. Bathrooms are good with powerful showers.

Don’t pay for breakfast. 18 CHF per person is a lot for a buffet breakfast and I regretted paying for this. Instead, walk to the nearest supermarket (Lidl is just 5 minutes walk) and pick up fresh fruit / bakery items from there for 1/3 of the price.

Also be aware of the local area. Being next to the train station there are some quite dodgy people hanging around once it’s gone dark. Someone tried to mug me in the local area one evening on my way back to the hotel, so be aware of your surroundings (appreciate this can happen in any city).

Overall it’s an ok hotel. The rooms are not bad value (c£60 gbp per night) but I wouldn’t rate this hotel as 4* and I wouldn’t want to pay any more than that per night. Fine for a few nights stay.
