My partner and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel and we would definitely stay here again when we next holiday in Geneva.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Johanna at reception especially made us feel very welcome and provided us with recommendations for food and things to see and do, as well as making sure we were confident using the public transport with our passes.

The room was perfect, just what we needed. Very clean and comfortable and the bathroom was the same.

We really enjoyed our stay and would like to return here when we can! Thank you to all the staff!

This is a very comfortable boutique hotel just two blocks from the train station yet in a reasonably quiet spot with plenty of restaurants and cafés in the immediate area. The rooms and common areas are modern and very tastefully designed. The breakfast room is a bit on the small side with somewhat limited fare, but otherwise I would give this hotel top marks.

Great stay! Truly enjoyed the very courteous staff from front desk , room service to breakfast area! Sorry , I Can’t remember the first name of the helpful , sick with flue , front desk guy; he was great, and went an extra mile to make things right!
The room is cozy ,well appointed , the satiny sheets were superb. On the other side , the mattress was on the slouchy side and may need rotation or to be updated!
Great variety at breakfast!
Overall we would come back in a heart beat!
The staff makes all the difference!

Starting with the positives, I was emailed a Geneva transport card prior to checking in which was great. I was able to check in early after a long flight from Australia and the location is very convenient to the train station, restaurants and tourist attractions. Unfortunately the room looked a little different to the Expedia images and the bathroom quite small even though I booked the second highest room category. I was travelling solo so was manageable but would be very difficult with 2 people in the room, as there’s a lack of shelving in the bathroom and even floor space around the bed. I had endless issues with housekeeping - not cleaning my room as requested, leaving cleaning clothes on my belongings and knocking on my door when the do not disturb sign was on. The front desk staff were very apologetic. In addition, this is the first hotel I’ve stayed in which didn’t have a full length mirror - quite frustrating!

We had the MOST amazing stay at Hotel D, especially because of the staff (especially Teddy and the woman that worked with him). They sent us to the best restaurants, made reservations for us, and were extremely helpful with every aspect of our trip.
The breakfast at the hotel was lovely, and the bed extremely comfortable.
The only thing I feel bad about, it was SO comfortable and homey, that we forget to leave a tip to the housekeepers, who were equally as wonderful.
We will make up for it next time, for sure!

An amazing stay!

Our stay was amazing from the moment we checked in. The hospitality and kindness of the staff was outstanding. Breakfast was amazing all varieties of cereal, teas, coffee from a proper coffee machine, fresh fruit, yogurts, pastries, cooked breakfast consisted of sausages, scambled eggs, bacon. Also upon request you can have an omlette. All the breakfast was buffet style.

The room was as per the pictures, very comfortable. The bed was amazing. The shower and amenities were amazing, felt just like home.

Love this modern, non-smoking hotel, convenient to Geneva train station. Workout room and breakfast buffet are great as well. Magnifying mirror and heated towel racks in the bathroom are welcome additions.

Our room was beautiful and comfortable, the staff members were all incredibly kind and helpful and the hotel is located next to lots of cafes and stores. It's a noisy area, but you wouldn't know it from inside your room if the windows are closed. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The Hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from the main Geneva railway station. The rooms are well kept. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Many thanks to Pauline. There are many food options around the hotel.

Cons : the area at night becomes bit noisy which is not very comfortable..Bit over priced for the amenties offered.The breakfast ( thoughnot included) looked very average

Bed was hard. The worst pillow I’ve had on vacation in years and they only supply one pillow per person. The neighborhood was extremely sketchy. Men standing around offering drugs.
Would never stay here again. One of the worst experiences and sleepless night.

The location was so close to the train station that we could walk. We had a very early flight out of the Geneva airport and getting there was super easy. The Free transportation card relieved us from buying any additional train tickets to the airport. The neighborhood had some great restaurants and bars right down the street. I felt very safe at this hotel. The front desk was so helpful and pleasant. The view from our room was beautiful. The king bed was super comfortable. Do not hesitate to stay here!

I recently stayed at this hotel and was really impressed by the property itself — it’s beautifully maintained, clean, and has a modern, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were also incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay.

However, the location was a major drawback for me. The hotel is surrounded by clubs and nightlife venues, and the noise level at night was very high. Loud music and crowds of people talking outside continued until 4 or 5 in the morning, making it very difficult to get a good night’s sleep.

If you’re coming to enjoy the nightlife, this might be a great fit. But if you’re looking for a quiet and restful stay, especially if you’re a light sleeper, you may want to consider a different area.

Fantastic Hotel

Beautiful boutique hotel within easy reach of Cornavin station. The staff here, even before you arrive are amazing. Customer service was fabulous.
Didnt experience any noise at night which is unusual in a city.
Great location to explore the city.
Only 1 criticism was the pillows were not comfy for me. If id not been so tired i would have asked for another as they are very low but faultless other than that.

Perfect stay, will return

Staff was professional and went out of their way to help plan my next day ski travel. Breakfast was wholesome delicious and healthy, with a high quality selection. Bed was very comfortable - you can tell the management is constantly on watch for necessary improvements. Room was clean, chic, and a tranquil oasis. Location is perfect: a 7 minute walk to Geneva station and surrounded by diverse international selection of restaurants and as in all Switzerland, very safe.

The front desk was quite helpful with providing information in reference to the local area. The room itself was tiny, but it had all the modern amenities including a full shower and a separate toilet. This was one of the few hotels I found in Gevena area with a gym, and the gym included a running machine, elliptical, and a sitting bicycle. I would stay again :)

The front desk staff were absolutely amazing. Went above and beyond to make our stay special. Don’t let the location deter you. We felt safe and relaxed our whole visit. It’s conveniently located between the lake and the train station. I will warn that the beds are very firm. Other than that, room was perfect. Bathroom was beautiful and the daily service was great.

Cons: Terrible heating/cooling, street noise was horrendous (and we had to keep windows open to stay cool), only one pod for coffee (but there were two of us), a dizzying array of light switches to try to figure out, kind of small room.

Excellent hotel not far from the Geneva train station. Surrounding neighborhood not so nice—some may feel uncomfortable.

Very pleasant room , confortable bed , nice bathroom. Delicious breakfast buffet.

Unfortunately, during my stay, there was a big problem with the Wifi.Impossible to work on computer . Could not get a receipt for my credit card payment and for reasons I don’t understand, the hotel no longer accepts cash payments.

But overall, enjoyed my stay.

The location was also fantastic, walking distance of the station and the lake.

Within a short walk to the beautiful lake front, or the train station where transport to many destinations can be found is this boutique hotel that offers calm and serenity.
Modern and spacious suite with ample space and a stand alone bath to end the day on.

simple but nice -

I stayed in the smallest room they had on offer, and it was only just sufficient. I got told their was a table in there, so assumed I could work at it, but not space to sit at it, and it was a coffee table so not big enough to work on.
Bed was comfy (on the harder side) the staff were great. Breakfast was simple but enough. Eggs, sausages, bacon, then fresh fruit and ham and cheeses. Coffee was nice.

The temp was set to 24, so had to turn that down in the middle of the night, but they maintained that for the rest of the trip. Overall - good - but potentially upgrade if you need more space (for an extra fee of course).

Hotel is located very close to the station and on a street with some nice restaurants and cafes. It’s near a red light district but the hotel street and the route from the station felt completely safe even at night.

Room was clean, modern and by Swiss standards quite large. Quite expensive but everything is in Switzerland. Teddy at reception was very helpful and friendly at check in.

The Hotel D Geneva is a nice hotel, modern, look to have been refurbished recently, the staff are nice and the hotel is near to town

Negatives, the main negative is the noise at night. With the temperatures in the 30's at night, keeping the windows open was a must, but the hotel has some very colourful neighbours, enjoying themselves into the early hours

Other negatives, breakfast is nice, if there's three or four couples down, when it's a full house the small buffet struggles. Come down late after a full house and it's slim pickings

But overall, I enjoyed my stay and would have no issue with staying again, but that said, Geneva is full of hotels and I'd be incline to try somewhere different, just because it's somewhere different
