Perfect location

The best part about this hotel was the location! The entrance to the hotel is on a really cute square with an old fountain in it. It was really easy to walk to all the sights in Geneva

Great staff, great location, comfy beds with a selection of pillows. The 'boast' in the welcome pack that the rooms were refurbished in 2013... shows. Looking a little dated.
The 'gym' had a few bikes / rowers, would love to see them improve this and i'd be back.

Hotel is in a very nice location, close to the river and lake. It is nicely decorated with a bit funky art. The room was fairly small but okay. It had a small desk, coffee machine and fridge. Breakfast was in the hotel across the street, there was no restaurant on premises.

This is a very nice hotel. Located just off the quai which runs along the Rhône, it is a short walk to the train and bus stations, which is very convenient if you are going to be taking day trips as I did. The hotel is also an easy walk to Geneva’s beautiful old town district. I was very pleased with the condition of the property. My room was small (which was fine with me), but very clean and meticulously maintained. It was very quiet, and I felt perfectly safe. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is a fantastic location. You can see the lake when you walk out of the hotel. It’s on the same road as the manor shopping centre. It’s 5 mins walk from the Swiss tours tourist office, less than 10 mins walk from the station and 7 min - 10 min walk from la Pâquis, which is great for food options and has a famous and popular cheese place.
There is a Starbucks next door and a subway around the corner. The hotel itself is pleasant. I would say it’s a three star as there was no bar or room service. There is a restaurant, but it’s only for breakfast. To be fair there are so many places to eat and drink nearby, it’s probably a good thing they don’t have a bar and serve food.
The staff are nice and helpful and the hotel has a good feel about it and makes you feel safe. The ambassador is literally opposite it, almost next door. I think both hotels are affiliated. I probably would chose this hotel again as it was in a great location

Nice stay for 3 nights in this hotel. Comfortable bed and room kept clean. Hotel is located perfectly in the city within walking distance to most places.
Only downside was the housekeeping knocking and opening the door multiple times a day even with the DnD sign on the door.

Hotel itself is nice, in good condition. However, the beds were very heavy uncomfortable, there’s a pillow menu but it wasn’t clear how to change them. The biggest issue however was there’s no bar or restaurant as advertised on the Hotels.com page. It would have been nice to have had the option of a drink at the end of the evening. All in all, a lovely stay in Geneva

A little gem right in the centre of town. Renovated 10 years ago the hotel remains fresh and clean. The staff were fantastic, the room was comfortable and clean, the water pressure high but the highlight was the collection of art and sculptures of the proprietor, uniquely eclectic and eccentric in the spirit of the Negresco Nice, perhaps. Will definitely stay again.

Hotel location was excellent. Near everything.
But the reception not helpful and they been unfriendly. Some of gym equipments not working. The water not available in gym for 2 days. The bathroom had bad smile. Also people smoked in our floor although was non smoking floor.

Nice hotel in a good location not far from train station. We took train from airport to city and walked 10mins to the hotel. We didn’t take breakfast and went next door to Starbucks. Staff were friendly and room though small was comfortable. Bathroom a little shabby and in need of an upgrade. Wouldn’t give it 4* but a good 3*

The property was shut down when i arrived for check in. The hotel was closed.
I called a number on the Expedia confirmation and there was a lady that only spokeFrench. Apparently the owner of New Midi also owns Ambassdaor Hotel across the street.

Someone from that hotel saw me at the door and came over saying we were notified. obviously did not tell us about checking into another hotel across the street

It’s a great location, but has skeleton hotel staffs only one at the front desk and hotel main door closes at certain time of the night. Use the hotel access card to enter the premise. Few hotel guests. I understand..the condition (covid) governs the situation. I’ll recommend it. It’s close to everywhere and it’s along Lake Geneva.

The location of the hotel was phenomenal! Steps from the waterside, shopping, restaurants, and grocery within steps. Public transport so close. I enjoyed my stay. The room was comfortable and quiet. There was a nice fan built into the climate control system. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel was a short walk from the train station and Geneva's old city center was walkable from here. There was a close Manor grocery store. The staff at the front desk was great. In particular, the young lady at the desk when I arrived on 7 September was very friendly and helpful. The gentleman that evening was also great.

Fantastic location

Fantastic location. Very quiet surroundings, with the old town and river on the doorstep. Public transport and departure points for trips along Lake Geneva were very close by. The room had great amenities and was very comfortable. Unfortunately the room wasn’t completely soundproofed so I could hear kids squealing next door. The staff at the reception were nice. The location is great. However as 4 star hotel the furniture shouldn't be very old where i did not feel comfortable and the price i paid was not worth it. Id be ok if it was a 3 star hotel

From check in to check out everything was great. The room & bathroom was lovely & spacious & our room on the 8th floor had a lovely view of the mountains in the distance. Reception staff were polite, friendly and always willing to help. The hotel is close to the train station, lake, shops & restaurants without being in a really noisy location, perfect. Great value for money. If we were in Geneva again we would most certainly be checking back in.

Very good hotel for a good rate (for Geneva) in a great location. Train station is 7min walk away, lake is 5min walk away and old town 10min walk away - everything is close by. Spacious rooms and bathrooms, quiet rooms both on 7th and 4th floor. The room, or especially the bathroom seemed bit aged at some place on the wall, but that really did not bothered me.
The breakfast is probably the only downside. Small choice and even less warm choice.
Overall a very good experience.
