Top notch service with upbeat attitudes made the stay fantastic. Expedia’s VIP got me an upgrade to a suite on the 4th floor with a beautiful view of the lake. Breakfast included was a perfect start to my days in Geneva. After years of jumping around to different hotels, I plan to return to D’Angleterre on my next trip.

Amazing hotel in every sense! Old world gem with attentive and friendly staff. Special thanks to the whole staff! When they learned that it was my birthday trip, they sent to the room a beautiful plate of deserts with \"Happy Birthday\" written with chocolate. Food is excellent, service is beyond expectations. And the location is perfect, too.

The staff were ALL super friendly and professional. Very helpful with all questions regarding the area, Switzerland, and local customs.
We felt very comfortable and well taken care of.
We are a group of 4, 2 parents and 2 adult children, and arrived in three different times over 24 hours. They facilitated the check in, let us check in early, and remembered our names and that we were all together.
They were flexible in our use of the \"public\" rooms, and even the restaurant for work or meetings not during meal times.
The food was fabulous, and they were flexible and happy to make adjustments to the menu as we asked.
Virtually every request was answered with \"of course, and can I do anything else for you\".
Truly a comfortable and luxerous experience. One that we hope to repeat soon.

The staff were so busy making our stay so wonderful! They would race to open a door if they saw us coming. Upon our check out I noticed they had set up a sweet bar that I commented I’ll have to come back and try that too. As I got into my taxi one of the staff members ran over to me with a lovely box of treats just for me. That is just one of the many things they did for us. I love this property and the staff makes it a 5 start . Wish I could give extra stars for this place. I’ll be back!

A nice hotel in Geneva

This property is very quaint. The hotel staff is some of the best I have come in contact with. The room is a bit antiquated but the service more then makes up for it breakfast was delicious, however the service at breakfast was not up to the rest of the staff.

Hotel location is excellent. It’s also very charming and has that old world feeling to it. But our air conditioning did not work and on top of that there was a heating malfunction. So they could not turn the heat off and AC on. It was very uncomfortable in the room. Luckily we could open the window to let some air in. They should really worry less about the environmental conditions of the AC and more about the people staying in the rooms, which cost 💲 a bundle.

Great views of the Jet D'eau, beautiful walks, and close to shopping and restaurants. The staff was exceptionally helpful and kind, despite our relentless questions. The hotel is beautiful, but we missed not having a fitness center on site; there is one nearby that we have used, but we didn't check it out. We also didn't eat at the restaurant as we were short on time, but the afternoon tea service and breakfast looked wonderful.

Exceptional level of service at Hotel D'Angleterre. There's a reason Swiss hospitality (and specifically Geneva) hospitality has set the world standards for the last 150 years, and this hotel is amongst the leading examples of it. Very dog friendly. Phenomenal food. I didn't go into the bar but it sounded like a destination spot on a Thursday night.

Fantastic short break

We had two nights here after a ski holiday in France, from the moment we arrived the service from everyone we met was probably the best we have ever experienced. I was amazed that everyone seemed to know my name which was a great touch and also I had my birthday while there and was given a lovely breakfast gift with Happy Birthday and a candle on the fruit platter which was great. I would 100% stay here again if we stayed in Geneva and I would recommend the hotel to everyone.

This is now my go-to hotel for Geneva sur Lac Leman. I have stayed at this property twice and every time I am treated with excellence at every level. The staff is amazing, and always ready to go the extra distance to make our stay memorable. The property and rooms are top notch, and it’s the little extras like water and fruit in your room, to turn down service that leaves a sweet treat at your return. Hotel is dated and small. I was there for business and on Wednesday evening was asked to leave (with the person I was meeting) the only lounge area in the hotel by a very rude and abrupt individual, possibly a manager (tall and grumpy individual in a black suit) because there was a private party with no concern as to where we might go. The bar wasn’t open for another 30 mins and eventually when queried he abruptly said go to the restaurant. It was clear from him and reception that we were not wanted.This hotel might have worked in the 1950s but time to modernise the attitude. On the plus side most of the other staff were nice and the room was comfortable. I won’t be back.

Great view and service but check the bills

The staff were very friendly and prompt. The views were amazing and great location. Staff were helpful on where to go for shopping or public transport. Only cons were that as a vegetarian, the food choice was limited and I had to keep checking for any additional charges being made e.g. minibar mentioned for tea, you would need to request fresh milk, which I did but was almost charged. Also, when I requested fruit from room service menu I was almost charged 3 x what was on the menu. So, just had to be cautious on charges. Also, the immediate charge upon arrival was unexpected. I would have preferred pay as I go charges.

The location of the hotel is great, right on the lake, close to the water shuttle and good restaurants. The staff were helpful and nice. My only negative was the breakfast. The salmon and the lemon were dried up and the orange juice watery. We decided to pass on eating there.

We loved staying here! The hotel is beautiful but more importantly the people are amazing! Everyone we interact with went out of their way to help us and make us comfortable and happy.
