The absolute finest service I have ever experienced in all of my years! Our stay was so perfect we have booked the hotel for next year. The attention to our needs as well as every detail was far and above any expectation imaginable. Special thanks to Aderina, Massi, Alexandre, and the fabulous Heni! Also I must mention Camille for taking care of us and all of our requests. Finally to Antoni. A true leader, gentleman and consummate professional! They gave us a stay of a lifetime! Not what I expected of a Ritz. The property is more like a Marriott in quality but you pay four seasons prices. We left after one night of a 2 night stay and went one block away to the four seasons. Whole different class and experience. The facilities, service, experience. Wow. Day and night. This hotel does not give you the 5 star experience you pay for.

I was really disappointed in this property. The only thing that was excellent were the employees trying to make the stay worthwhile. The Tv did not work properly, The fireplace in the room would have been romantic if it worked. The breakfast offered did not compare to other hotels stayed at, which were much more reasonably priced.
The new spa is beautifully appointed.
The staff was amazing. They tried to make up for all the shortcomings of the property. Extremely disappointed in the amount paid for the amenities offered

We recently spent nine days at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel de la Paix in Geneva. To say it surpassed our expectations would be an understatement. While the experience at any hotel of this caliber should be first-class, our experience here was unparalleled. Truly the best location in Geneva, the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, and our room had a stunning view of Lake Geneva and the surrounding city. The hotel staff were all top-notch. From the door staff to the front desk staff to the concierge team, all were exceptional. It seemed everyone working at this hotel is truly happy and perpetually smiling. Such a phenomenal experience! If we are fortunate enough to return to Geneva, I do not think we could stay anywhere else.

Room service was available with a good varied menu and food was delicious. We were given a delicious cake, wine and balloons for our wedding anniversary, which was a really nice touch. The location of this property is great. TJ, the host at the Living Room Bar & Kitchen inside the Ritz is absolutely wonderful - she was so sweet, personable and a treat to talk to. The food and drink at both The Living Room Bar & Kitchen and Fiskebar is delicious. I highly recommend anything and everything off the menu - kudos to the Chef!

Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the room(at least the one I was situated in). If you are allocated to Room 112 - ask for a room switch immediately! You hear every little bit of movement from the room above you and can hear the water running and toilet flushing as well. There is some sort of restaurant(not sure what it is) behind you - which makes plenty of noise as well. And the deliveries that come in in the morning in the 'back' of the Ritz are directly below you, which is known as the 'garden view'. So the wake up at 6am is very unpleasant. After mentioning this (along with a 4:30am call to front desk due to the upstairs neighbors), all they could muster up was a 'sorry', along with a gift bag of chocolate upon check-out(did they think that the sugar would perk me up from the horrible sleep I had the night before, and before that?). Also, I am fully packed with a flight to catch, where do you think I would put the gift bag? I declined.

It is not my first time staying at the Ritz, but it may be my last due to this experience.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were taken to a dirty side street and let off on the curb. When we asked if THIS was the Ritz Carlton the driver said yes, but he could not access front door because of traffic. The hotel is a beautiful building but the furniture in the check-in area is odd and tacky. Looks like it is a make-shift desk until a real check in is arranged. The room is beautiful but the furniture is clearly geared for business traveler with a giant desk as the focal point.

The first night was great, then the heater went out and the only thing they could recommend was an extra blanket, the outside temp was 39 degrees. After complaining we were moved to a different room. That should have been the first choice not a third choice. Not what I expected from ritz Carlton.

Any stay at a Ritz Carlton has been exceptional. However a visit with my family to the Ritz Carlton Hotel de la Paix Geneva was beyond extraordinary! We were greeted with Swiss chocolates and cool towels to clean our hands. The people at the reception were very pleasant. The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. Weeks prior to our arrival the hotel contacted to see if there was any occasion that we were celebrating. I mentioned that we were vacationing in Switzerland before dropping our daughter to her college study abroad in Copenhagen. The day we arrived they delivered a present to her room- a travel guide to Copenhagen, along with an invitation for a class to make Aquavit- a traditional Danish liquor. This hotel happens to have a nordic inspired restaurant. The fantastic bartender, Michael Marcos, gave the class and we learned all about aquavit. It was such a special experience. The General Manager, Guillaume Benezech, was in and around the hotel daily and made us feel welcomed and \"at home\". He always took the time to have a conversation with us and hear about our visit to Geneva. When we left the Ritz Carlton Geneva we felt like we were leaving family. Even the waiters at breakfast remembered exactly what we liked and how we liked it each morning. The experience could not have been more personal. I joked with my family that I was going move to Geneva to live at the Hotel de la Paix! Bravo Ritz Carlton your performance was outstanding!

We were in Geneva for only one night so decided to splurge and stay at the Ritz.

It was definitely worth it. The comfort of the bed and the spacious room and the beautiful products made the experience exceptional.

We had dinner in the restaurant Fiskabar. Fine dining and the food was amazingly delicious. The staff were attentive and explained the menu and made recommendations.

The only complaint I have was in arriving at the hotel there was no bell boy or staff up front of the hotel. We struggled with our luggage up 5 steps into the reception area. Another hotel assisted me with mine. For a 5 star hotel, I found this appalling. Definitely a detail the hotel needs to ensure they fix.

We had a lovely stay at the Ritz and would highly recommend it.

Truly magical, Amazing experience!

The service was out of this world. All the staff members went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed every minute at the hotel. I have travelled to many countries and stayed at many 5 star hotels but few have met this standard, this has to be one of the best if not the best I have stayed at. I was traveling with my 1.5 year old son and they looked after him at every opportunity. The rooms, restaurants, and bar were of the highest standard and the location fantastic to experience the city

I'm giving this hotel 4 stars because the room and bed were comfortable and we were able to sleep really well. We weren't aware that this hotel was going to be under construction during our stay. Half of the halls were still the dated design from the previous hotel and access to our room was pretty convoluted. The other major downfall was the size and location of the closet in our room. We stayed here for 3 nights, so it would have been nice to get unpacked and settled in a bit, but the design and layout of the room and closet didn't allow for that at all. The staff also wasn't terribly well versed in activities in the area, but that could have been luck of the draw. Lastly, every shower experience lead to massive amounts of water leaking all over the bathroom.

We arrived at the Hotel around 9am after a red eye flight to Genève and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Most importantly, all of them were incredible with our 8 month and 3 year old daughters.

We had a quick and delicious breakfast while they finished getting our room ready and we were in before 10am. All the while, the staff was incredibly attentive and sweet with our girls.

And when we arrived in our room it was clean, beautiful, modern, well appointed and had an incredible view of the lake and alps behind it. Our bags were already in the closet and a crib was set up for our youngest. Outside the multiple French door/windows was a nice balcony. Bed is comfortable, beautiful tub and shower. We could not have been happier.

This is a beautiful, elegant and very well located property. We took boat transfers out the front door accords the lake to enjoy the park and gardens throughout our stay. Most importantly, the staff is professional, but also the kindest and most accommodating I've ever met. Very highly recommend.

Absolute Perfection

My husband and I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel over our anniversary. Our newly renovated room on the top floor was stunning. It was also huge, with a large sitting area with a couch and chairs, as well as a balcony with a stunning view of the lake. The bathroom was spacious and the bed was exceedingly comfortable. The restaurant was also fantastic – the signature risotto is worth the hype. Above all else, however, the service was absolutely impeccable. The staff was welcoming and helpful; it felt almost like being a guest in a friend’s home. I have to especially thank Irina, who was just so wonderful to us during our entire stay. I've stayed in many, many hotels, and this is one of these best I've ever experienced. I cannot imagine a more perfect holiday retreat.

Hotel staff were charming helpful and out of the top drawer.
Room was too noisy with workmen and lorries out side the window making sleep impossible from 6 am onwards.

Even if it doesn't have the bling or grandeur of other 5 star hotels with regards to common areas such as lobby, bar, restaurants and gym their rooms are right up there with the best.

The intent was to enjoy a romantic night in a luxury hotel. That did not work out: The room was small, the shower very inconvenient and set-up in a way that forces to squeeze into a corner to try to avoid to flood the bathroom. After a shower the entire room was wet what made it very uncomfortable to use it for further business.
The room service was bad and had to interrupt our (romantic) dinner several times to deliver forgotten items.

Superb location on the lake

I stayed here for one night laying over to fly back to the States. The location is spectacular right on the lake and central to restaurants and other sights. The rooms are extremely comfortable and decorated in a hip fashion that was very nice. I ended up eating in the bar as the restaurant was closed and the food was quite good. The only drawback to the hotel is that without the restaurant open at this time, the lobby does feel a bit quiet. The bar staff is attentive but not used to being restaurant staff. However my meal was incredible.

Great location and fantastic staff

A beautiful hotel on the lake front. We had a garden view room which was peaceful and pretty.
So clean, lots of lovely extras like Bulgari toiletries, robes, slippers. Amazingly comfortable bed.
But the staff stood out-so polite, friendly and helpful. A great bartender with good restaurant recommendations.
Slightly dated decor-but so clean and well maintained I didn't mind (and I'm very fussy!). The shower, although great water pressure, seemed to be an afterthought over the bath and drenched the floor every time. At least I didn't have to mop it up!
Would definitely stay here again. Luxurious without being stuffy.

This hotel is almost a boutique experience. It has a wonderful lobby, and I was immediately greeted by three different staff members when I checked in. The woman at reception even showed me to my room upon check in, and my bags were brought immediately from my door to my room. My entire stay was full of pleasant surprises, including chocolates each night on the pillow, some backed goods on the second day of my stay, and a constant replenishment of the Nescafe pods for my coffee maker. I felt well taken care of the entire time.

My husband and I took our children on a trip to Europe to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. This hotel is beautiful, has a great view of Lake Geneva, and was fantastic from beginning to end. We really enjoyed our stay and the friendly staff made our experience even more pleasant.

The hotel met all expectations. The location on Lake Geneva is both spectacular and convenient.
The staff was very professional, thoughtful and consistent with what one would expect from a high end hotel.
The gym facilitly, while very small by American standards, had the right equipment and worked well.
The view from the room was facing the garden which was very nice and likely quieter than that of the lakeside view.

Detailed Review of a Great hotel

My experience:

Reservation: Done online and confirmed immediately. Audrey did a good job.
Location: On the lake - one of the best locations in Geneva if not the best.
Check-in: Was done by Antonin and it was handled very well.
Room: Very pleasant room, the view is excellent, the furniture is nice, amenities are great, however the floor is squeaky, the cupboard should be placed in another place and has sharp edges, the bathroom is very small and with just a shower that is also very small. For a superior room overlooking the lake, that bathroom really didn't fit, but the rest did :)!
Breakfast: Very Good quality food, good small variety (doesn't change), pleasant / professional staff and a nice atmosphere with a great view of the lake.
Room Service: Food and service are excellent. The first day I had a shrimp risotto that was out of this world, seriously excellent. We both ordered it the second day (again) and it was also very good but not as the first day. Other dishes were excellent in taste and presentation.
Housekeeping: Excellent. Always clean and nice. Good turn-down service.
Bellmen: Excellent - very professional.
Met with the Front Office Manager who was a very pleasant person and very professional.
Conclusion: This is really a great hotel run by professional hoteliers, with an excellent location and a fantastic view of the lake / fountain. I do recommend it strongly. Thank you \"Hotel De La Paix\"

I spent an awesome time in Geneva, Hotel de la Paix, is a very accessible hotel, everything is close by. The staff are very friendly and helpful.. The room was cozy and the quality of service was excellent!.. I'm looking forward to come back soon in a near future

Super staff. Really excellent. No dresser.

The lack of a dresser in the room was a significant drawback. Since I was on travel for two weeks I had a full suitcase. It was difficult keeping my clothes organized.

An excellent hotel, with quiet and traditional large rooms. Staff were helpful and friendly and the cocktail waiter makes one hell of a Mojito!

Luxury hotel next to Lake overlooking Mont Blanc!

A really luxurious hotel, right on Lake Geneva, with a view of Mont Blanc and the Alps. A superb location, excellent facilities, great food and very helpful staff. I could not rate it more highly - thoroughly recommended. As lone woman traveller, I felt safe and secure and the staff were efficient, professional and friendly without being obtrusive. They did everything they could to make my stay as comfortable as possible and especially in the restaurant where I took the delicious breakfast each morning, they remembered you by name and tea/coffee preference, which is a nice little touch. The room was huge and expensive (but so it Switzerland), but worth every penny to wake up each morning and see the gorgeous view over the Lake and Mont Blanc. BBC1 & 2, ITV1 &2 & Film Four on the flat screen TV in my room made my stay even better - usually you don't get many English channels abroad. A wonderful hotel - I'm saving up to go back!

Great Hotel, Great Location

the place was fantastic as was the service. the only criticism is that it is in a very busy part of town and being an old building that noise comes through. So it it was pretty loud. We were on the 4th floor. But the building, the bar, the service were all 5 stars.

Luxury hotel on the quayside, facing the Jet d'Eau

The location is superb, looking across the small lake towards the Jet d'Eau, City Centre and the Alps. Very close to water taxis and to the Mont Blanc bridge, which leads directly to the Flower Clock and the City Centre. Service is traditional 5 star. Very comfortable room with high level of cleanliness.
Most boat trips, and the ferry to Lausanne, leave from within 300 metres of the hotel door.

Wonderful Position

We had booked a garden view room but were upgraded to a side lake view which was stunning. Two of the four in our party had a balcony, two a Juliet balcony. The staff were very helpful, friendly and genuinely interested in us.

Classic hotel in an exceptional location

We were very pleased with the location, convenience and amenities of the hotel. It was within easy walking distance of the train station and located on the lake. The lake view room was fantastic with several balconies and large French doors. Unfortunately, our reservation changes did not get through to the hotel. The front desk worked to accommodate us in a friendly and professional manner. Highly recommended.

Good hotel in the centre of Geneva on the lake.

Overall positive and good service. The basic room I booked via Expedia was small and I upgraded to a larger room. The decor in the room I would describe as odd but, overall the facilities were good. The staff were all very helpful, professional and polite.
