Historical building with nearby shopping and staff is excellent but my room had a tub I had to get in to take shower and it’s high and older people might risk a fall and AC was not on at night we felt hot , overall a nice hotel

Views from room are amazing. You watch the paragliders land throughout the day with the alps in the background. Staff were very nice. Gym was big and had all you need for a good workout. Restaurant at top had nice views but menu wasnt the best. Only two negatives: filtered water dispenser in lounge tasted bad so we bought water from the convenient coop across the street; and breakfast had only one option which was an expensive buffet, no a la carte. But this hotel was awesome!

Absolutely magnificent hotel!!!! Incredible location, immaculate service, helpful staff and unforgettable views. Drinks in the bar on the roof (5th floor) are a must! Get a table against the rail overlooking the lake (not cheap but totally worth it).

We went in June, unfortunately the window views from the breakfast area were blocked as they were renovating. But if you eat at the rooftop restaurant it is amazing view overlooking the lake area. The room we chose was a bigger room with separate bedroom and one added bed in the sitting area for our family of three. It was spacious enough to relax. It is a bit pricey but worth it for the location and convenience near shopping and business area. Lots of restaurant options within walking distance and close to Old Town.

We had a nice time in Geneva and this hotel is well situated by lots of shopping and walkable to most things you want to do in Geneva. Hotel check in was easy and checkout too. I would only say that the hotel probably needs to invest in upgrading its rooms, wasn’t quite 5 stars, but close, just a bit dated for my taste. But for price point I think most people will find it fair.

Hotel has lots of potential. Shower was not draining water and we had to end up wiping the \"lots\" of water twice. We did let the hotel know the first time but they did not fixed and next morning same thing happened. No discount nor any amenity was offered due to the inconvenient. Breakfast could be much better for $42 per person, very basic buffet.

Helpful concierge, very professional and first class service. Hotel well positioned but disappointed we couldn’t see river despite river view as trees were obstructing and we were on first floor with quite a busy road below us. We were pleased to have tea making facilities in our room and access to BBC 1 ! The main disappointment was breakfast- not a lot of choice and below what we would expect from a 5 star hotel.

It feels very geared towards business travelers. The room itself felt a bit narrow, although it contained most things you'd expect. The room service menu was a bit lackluster, especially with a restaurant in the building. In the bathroom, I was only given 1 robe and set of slippers despite indicating that there were 2 of us. They also assumed my gender and had 'Mr. Anderson' written everywhere. There were no coffee mugs or toiletries such as shampoo and conditioner. I'm not really sure if this is standard or an oversight. The biggest disappointment was what they called the breakfast buffet which was super sub-par and way overpriced for what it was.

Hotel location and building are great! Breakfast is fine. Room is without bathroom door and toilet has a glass door that doesn’t close all the way. Terrible mattress, very hard and terrible pillows that don’t work as pillows, even if you have 3 of them on top of each other. Would not stay there again.

This hotel is superb. The rooms are beautifully appointed and modern. Ours had a view of the lake. The beds are comfortable, and the breakfast buffet excellent. One caveat - do NOT eat at the rooftop bar. Do not order mixed drinks. Food and mixed drinks way overpriced, and the food is mediocre. A glass of wine is fine - and you may need a reservation for the bar at night.

Central with great service

I stayed on the first floor, at the back of the building, which had the quieter road, but it was still noisy. I suggest asking for a higher room. The bed was also very very firm. They did offer to move me, but i declined as i only stayed for two nights and couldn't be bothered to repack everything again for one more night.

The hotel is a little dated but the service was great and the location is very central. I went running around the lake one evening and as soon as i stepped back in to the hotel without being asked i was handed a towel and chilled bottle of water.

Breakfast is limited and expensive. I went out the hotel the second day and hard a much better breakfast for 30% of the cost of the hotel option.

Beautiful grand hotel by the lake. Located in the old town and in walking distance to the main attractions. We booked a suit and it not only was beautifully decorated with a modern style, but the view to the lake was incredible. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, I guess like in any other hotel of this category.

Wonderful stay

This hotel went over and beyond our expectations! We had a wonderful stay here. It was Valentine’s Day and they were able to book us a table at the restaurant with 5 course meals and wine pairing. On top of that was a beautiful turndown service with roses in our room. I wish we could have stayed longer. Next time we will stay here again and more than one night!
