Excellent place for the value of the money

The stay was excellent. The staff were very polite and well accommodating. Easy lift access. The hotel is well connected with public transportation. A mall just opposite has a coop, pharmacy and a few other things for easy grab.

The only issue I faced was the toilet, little less lighting, the loose shower fixture, and the curtains were a little weird.

However, I feel the stay was good value for the money.

The room's AC didn’t work and was noisy. The mattress in the bedroom was terrible. The bathroom didn’t have proper ventilation, so it always smelled bad. In general, I don't recommend this hotel anymore.

10 minutes walk to city centre, nice hotel with very friendly staffs. Breakfast is continental selections with bacon and eggs, good enough to start our day. The room we stay with nice balcony overview the street. The bathroom is very tidy and clean but a bit old fashion. We saw the room next door with fresh look bathroom, maybe next time should request the renovated bathroom room. Overall very nice hotel.

It was a good stay, staff friendly and generally helpful. We did ask for extra pillows and towels, only 1 bath and 1 hand towel in the room, for two people, but did not receive the asked for items.
Hotel in a good location for the train station and central city area. The hotel interior was a little tired but perfectly clean.

Terrible breakfast (I could’ve made more food if I was at home) and the facilities were super outdated - I couldn’t believe that it was a 4* hotel! The room card stopped working 4 times during my 2-night visit and although the front desk were happy to help me, the first time I had to wait for over 15-20minutes! Overall a bad experience

Check in was not good. We were not given the wifi password at check in and tried calling the reception from our room - the phone in the room was dead! Had to go back down and ask for the password.
Next day we found out whenstaying in a Geneva hotel you get free transportation all over the city. We were not told about this at check in.
When we asked for it the next day we were given each a ticket to use. This should have been given to us at time of check in.
Rest of the staff were nice and helpful and breakfast was very nice.

Great little hotel. All the staff was super nice. Room was bigger then expected for a European hotel. We wished we would have gotten the breakfast deal, next time.
A big plus I was the free bus-tram passes.
I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel diplomate is in the heart of Geneva. Easy access to business offices and town . Transport facilities are good too. Please make sure you request a quiet room , off the road side room to avoid the tram noise. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is ok. But you have to get in early before it runs out :-)

Sewer stench

The room smelled like a sewer drain at all times, especially if the bathroom was door was open. The bed was supposed to be a king sized one but it was just two twins put together. I would not stay here again.

All the staff were wonderful from reception staff to breakfast staff. Very helpful in arranging public transport for me and getting a charger for my phone. The mini bar was helpful too as I arrived late in the evening and was thirsty.

Pros - Good location, good price for Geneva, easy check-in and welcoming staff, comfy beds.

Cons - The shower is very small and the shower curtain keeps sticking to your body. Not a fun experience. I had to stand sideways to shower and have my wife pull the curtain away from me to finish showering. Please add heavier shower curtains or circular shaped curtain rods to give more space.

Good hotel overall, just a bad shower experience.

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was super quiet at night, during part of the daytime, there is a music school nearby that you can hear if you open your balcony. The hotel also provided me with a transportation pass for all the days I was there! It was an awesome bonus to travel the city! The staff printed me things I needed and were always kind. Wake up calls were on time, yes I know, I need that on top of an alarm sometimes.

Old but clean. Small room and tiny bathroom. Worst breakfast ever seen: fruit and yogurt only one day out of 5. Coffee out of a jug.
If you are a budget traveller but want some comfort, that’s the right place. Close to downtown, restaurants and shops. Tram stop a stone throw away.

Located a 10-15 min walk from the lake, on a busy street with trams going past, not moisy with window closed though. The room was nice, bed soft, tv had english channels. There were some marks on the pillow cases and the chandelier wasn’t fitted to the ceilng correctly, otherwise a very nice room. Expensive breakfast at CHF26. Limited parking behind the hotel at CHF32/nt. there is a lift, but it is small, enough room for obe person and a suitcase. Would stay here again.

Good location. Very clean. Beds very comfortable.
Evening clerk very friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. Day time clerks did not smile and not very helpful.
Room small and hard for 2 people to get around. We would return as it was reasonably priced. o one offered us direction as how to get around and use buses. We had to keep asking.

The hotel is about 10-15 minutes to the Geneva fountain. The hotel is located about 2 minutes from the tram and bus for public transportation. It is a little loud from the tram and airplanes but overall great location. I would stay here again if I were to visit Geneva.

They offer parking ,but it only has 4 spot. Call to make sure you will have parking.
Air conditioning was very weak.
Room was very old ,but clean
No remote control for the tv. Felt like the 70s.
Location was great.
Scary elevator. Just put your luggage in ,and walk up.

We were on the sixth floor and had to change rooms because there were bugs in our room in our bed. The second room had the same problem. We checked out and went to another hotel. I suggest you find another hotel.

It was pretty easy to locate when I got off the #12 tram at Villereuse. Minor repair items were not attended to (WiFi modem hanging from ceiling in hallway, shower head kept falling off mount and hitting me, insufficient hangers or ironing board/iron, carpet tacking at bathroom flooring poking nail head out). Room was so tiny that I felt cramped. Breakfast was nice but never varied. Staff was pleasant overall.

Firstly I have taken 800 international trips to 104 counties over 45 years and stayed in 1000+ hotels This hotel is at best 2 stars and from a hospitality view is 1 star. Front desk lacks any sort of hospitality. No WIFI in room only lobby. Shower rod and shower head fell down 4 days in a row after complaining to Eugene desk clerk 3 times. No customer service. I would encourage you to pass on this hotel and go somewhere else in Geneva.

The receptionist is friendly. But the property on picture is not as the same on the actual. It’s old and Need some Cleaning and more amenities Are expected on a 4 Star Rating hotel. The Soap and Shampoo Are too small and no Slipper and Robe that a 4 Star should have.

Somewhat dated hotel in a quiet location. Very few restaurants/ eateries in immediate vicinity. Minimal toiletries in bathroom. No drinking water of coffee/ tea making facilities provided in room. Good TV reception and fair choice of English channels.

Good value for short stay

Best for 1 person on short stay as rooms are clean (while dated) and have everything needed. I had a quiet and comfortable sleep with a room away from street. Small bathroom and spotty wifi but I was able to work online in the evening as I prepared for a meeting the next day. I come to Geneva several times a year and will return. Good value for a short stay in otherwise expensive Geneva.

Great location and staff but needs a decor do over

We liked this hotel more than we thought we would upon arrival. The location is superb but the decoration of the lobby and rooms is dated and drab. The service is also very good - there is parking behind and the staff went out of their way with us in many ways. For the cost of the rooms, it is good value. My daughter had a noisy radiator in her room and the rooms on the road front are noisy but beds are very comfortable.
