Great place to stay in Amalfi. The breakfast was incredible. There are many dining and shopping options within a short walking distance. The room was spotless and had everything needed. Be aware that this place is accessed up a flight of approximately 125 steps. Most of the places in Amalfi are this way as it is built on a rocky incline.

Really lovely property. Hotel staff so helpful and welcoming. Beautiful old property in the heart of Amalfi. Restaurants nearby. Yes lots of steps but didn’t find this a problem. Easy 5 min walk (once down steps) to centre. Really lovely breakfast served on rooftop. Very clean and nicely presented room and hotel. We didn’t get the room we booked but this was Expedia issue and I don’t blame hotel at all. I would highly recommend staying here. And would stay again myself. Excellent!

The stairs and dragging luggage up and down them is not for the faint of heart, but that’s Amalfi! Nice location to the beach (without walking down the main road to get there). Breakfast was wonderful on the rooftop.

Our stay at Amalfi Luxury House was incredible. We were only there for a short time and I wish we were there longer!! The staff was incredibly helpful and made check in very easy. The room was pristine and felt very luxurious, we had a wonderful and large patio that we enjoyed sitting out on in the evenings. I would definitely recommend!

Nice room, excellent terrace and great location

Really lovely and helpful host. The room was very spacious. We also had breakfast included in the price which was a fabulous surprise. It was served on the terrace which has a nice view of rooftops and also a bit of the sea if you sit towards the back. It was also really nice to use in the afternoon/ evening. My husband and I had purchased some wine and drank it on the terrace and the hotel kindly let us use a wine cork so we didn't have to purchase one. There are about 80 steps to access the property but that is just Amalfi. They steps were larger than I anticipated. It is also less than a 10 min walk to the cathedral and very easy to navigate. Really, really enjoyed our time here!

Lovely room. Lots of stairs.

This is a lovely little boutique that is incredibly close to the center of Amalfi city. Everyone who worked there was very nice and helpful. Just keep in mind that there are 124 stairs to get from the street to the hotel's door, so if you have mobility issues this will be a problem. The morning breakfast on the terrace was very nice...espresso, juice, croissants, bread, meat/cheese platter, fresh fruit. We had a room with a balcony with a partial ocean view that was really pretty, but you do share the balcony with the room next to you. Another thing to keep in mind is that the front desk is not open 24 hrs a day, so you will definitely need to coordinate with the hotel about your arrival time otherwise you will not be able to get in. There is also only one room key, so that is inconvenient if you and the other guest(s) in your room are doing different excursions.

The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly, clean, with a lovely breakfast out on the terrace. The location is excellent. The only drawback is that the climb up 122 stairs with your luggage is a bit of a killer. Think twice if you have heavy luggage. But if you’re strong and healthy, you can’t go wrong at this lovely hotel. We had read some very negative reviews about unfriendly staff and the check-in process. Our experience was 100% opposite. Our train was delayed more than an hour, but we stayed in touch, they called us to make sure we were OK. She assured us not to worry And simply did a self check in when we sent pictures of our passports. It seems that these grumpy one star raters may have been from a competitor trying to make them look bad.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY!! THE OWNER IS A THEIF AND A LIAR. I booked and paid for the property for four nights. I was told there was a 6:30 pm check in policy. I booked train tickets to arrive in Solerno at 2:30. Ended up having a nation wide train strike that day and I arrived in Solerno at 5:40. Was told on the phone by employee that even with a taxi I would not make it for 6:30 and that my WHOLE reservation was cancelled. I offered to pay the 50 euro late charge and was told that I had to request that earlier in the day. I lost ALL four nights and no talking reason, begging or pleading would make the owner change his mind. I can understand losing the first night but not the other three. Told an Italian person this today and she called to speak on my behalf. Owner tried to change his story and say I didn’t show up for last three nights. I said I have the whole conversation on text and owner quickly back pedaled and said his policy stands. No refunds. I have been keeping tabs on the hotel the last three nights and the owner SOLD my room a second time for two of those nights. He essentially collected double. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. This policy is nothing but greed and is not stated clearly anywhere. I have asked him to show me where it is stated that you lose your whole reservation and he cannot. He puts shame to the Amalfi Coast and to Italy in general. Just a plain crook.

Our stay was good, despite reading some negative reviews I was pleasantly surprised. This place isn't suitable for anyone with mobility issues as numerous steps to the building but wasn't a problem for us.
Providing directions would have been appreciated, I asked but they just referred me to GPS - if I had this function I wouldn't have asked.
The breakfast was good and plentiful, choice from a card the night before.
Our room was in the attic with low ceilings but this wasn't a problem, the room was spotless and both reception and breakfast staff friendly.

Staff was very helpful and welcoming and the lady that serves food saved the day twice with her skills at getting rid of a tenacious bee as we had breakfast (fyi breakfast was delicious)

Manuela, the staff who checked us in, insisted I have to pay 6 Euro in cash to her for 1 night city tax. I was really short on cash and asked her several times to pay by credit card but was denied. As result, I had to spend lots time to find a money exchange. I stayed several places in Italy before Amalfi and none requested to pay city tax in cash only. Also all the city tax I paid was <=5 Euro per day in Italy. I wonder why Amalfi was 6 Euro and cash only? Is this the city rule or the staff rule?

Stress ful environment. Behind your Money

I recommend not to choose this place. If it is a Holiday trip, then this stay will ruin your fun and bring more stress.

I started my Christmas trip from Switzerland and then to Rome and Amalfi is my final destination. All went well until the day I was about to reach Amalfi. The hotel management messafed me the morning and mentioned the check-in time will close at 6:30 which I am aware. I took a train from Rome to Salerno and then a bus with the schedule to reach hy 4:45. However, the train got delayed and oushed my check-in slighly delayed. I requested for 15 min flexibility in check-in but they refused to do so and cancelled my booking by mentioning no show. I end up homeless in a foreign country with language barrier. Luckily I found a nice place but lost 2 days hotel fair.

This holiday trip is to have fun and not to creat additional stress. Fun will be there when surrounded with a friendly and supportive environment. This place and especially the working staffs gives stressful environment. I recomment to avoid at any cost.

This property was basically in the centre with easy access to taxis and buses ! On the rooftop they served a wonderful breakfast 🤗 the shower was a nice size and so was the room . I will definitely return to this place because it is so close to everything , there are 45 steps to this property before you arrive to the hotel but we did not mind due to everything having steps in Amalfi .The views on the upper level are amazing ❤️

Be advised that you can hear everything from the lobby and even other rooms from within the room, so it's not very private. The breakfast is served to you outside on the roof deck, so not sure what happens when the weather is bad. We were also surprised to learn parking cost 20 euros per night when's retrieving our car at the end of our stay. It was ok for two nights but I would not stay here again.

We did not realize the check in policy was so strict. We were called by the hotel the morning of our arrival, and they asked us what time we were getting there. When we told them 8/9pm. They said that wasn’t possible check in would be closed. We tried to find a way to pick up the keys somewhere, they would not accommodate us. We were forced to pay to stay at another hotel, and were not refunded for the night they could not check us in. They didn’t allow us to check in until 11am the next day, so we had to stick around downtown amalfi to check in, even though we paid for a room. If the front desk opens at 8am, and there should be our empty room...why did we have to wait around? Yes, we made a mistake not reading the check in policy better. But they were not accommodating at all, didn’t care to find a solution, and didn’t help us the next morning by letting us check in first thing! Very disappointing experience with management. Beware.

I have travelled alot in my life. This was the very first time I had to pay €50 for late check in. Our train were delayed and the bus we had to take to Amalfi did not arrive. We then took the next bus. This made us 1 hour late. I spoke to Antony, but he just said it is the rules of the propety and insisted I pay the €50 in cash to him. I would recommend you book a different hotel in Amalfi. There are many nice properies with alot less stairs. 120 steps from the main street to your room. This experience put a damper on our whole visit to Amalfi. Please be aware if you book this hotel.

The staff at Amalfi Luxury House was amazing. The hotel is convenient -- only a short walk and some stairs to the beach. We'd likely stay there again.

The shortcomings is (literally) the height of the ceilings in the upstairs rooms--which doesn't come across in the photos I saw. They are no more than 6 feet tall in places, including the bathroom, which makes it hard to move around. The breakfast also wasn't awesome, but fine.

In all though, we still recommend.

I requested a cancellation 5 days prior without a charge. They declined me and charged me the full amount. They are thieves and I would not recommend them to my friends that had plans on going there. Piss poor way to get funds and no compassion for anyone that needs to change plans. Plus I had cancellations protection and someone on Expedia canceled that also which I am just finding out. Bad experience from the hotel and Expedia and will not recommend to anyone

My wife and I stayed here while visiting the Amalfi Coast. It was conveniently located in Amalfi and a quick walk to any place in town. Upon arrival by transfer vehicle, we were greeted by a gentleman with a golf cart to help us bring our bags up the main city center and steps. We were greeted by our hosts and everything was clearly explained. Breakfast is provided every morning and is wonderful. Our host was helpful informing us on how to get from place to place along the coast. We loved staying here and highly recommend!

An extra Mirror in the room (There is only one in the bathroom)
An extra light in the bathroom, it is a bit dark with only one light
A place to put toiletry items in the bathroom (like a shelf)
A dresser in the bedroom to put your cloths (there was closet to hang them in though)
The Shower could have been cleaned daily and better, there was black building up in the tiles

Overall it was a great place that I would consider going back to.

The Manager Makes this Hotel Not to be Missed!

Sasá, the manager, is certainly the reason you need to stay here. He gave recommendations for beaches, excursions, and restaurants that were better than Frommer’s or Rick Steves. A local who made sure we experienced the real Amalfi Coast!! The hotel itself is also wonderful, amazing rooftop and clean accommodations, but Sasá made this a place not to be missed!!

Nice place to stay in Sorrento. Good location and great staff. Maria was super helpful with anything we needed. A typical Italian breakfast (pastries, orange juice, and coffee) is served to your door in the morning and it’s delicious. Bed was very comfortable and had no problem with outside noise. Would stay here again.

Rude service unprofessionally run, lots of stairs!

Rude and unprofessional to the worst degree and many stairs to climb. My advice: Don't stay here.This place marred our Italy trip in terms of hospitality. We stayed here only one night thankfully. the person Salvatore is a goon who meets most requests with a sulking face. We wanted to keep our luggage after checkout (which is very early at 10:30 am! The receptionist told us that this was because they have to clean the place and made it sound like our fault- isn't that a basic duty of a hotel?). They first refused to store our luggage and Salvatore started explaining how we could store it for 5 Euros per luggage at the baggage counter near the pier. I told him no hotel turns down a simple request as that- and with 3 rooms worth business we had given them. He started getting worked up and even cursed me in Italian assuming I did not know the language. I kept my cool because we were foreigners , but when he tried to stare me down I wouldn't take it and stared him down equally badly. The hotel is up a steep staircase and they claim they will provide free luggage service but they are after the paid services (which we shelled 30 Euros out for - they asked for 50!). Ultimately they agreed after a fellow guest offered to help us keep the luggage in their room - which also they prohibited reasoning they had to clean the room! Maybe that made them feel a bit ashamed. I have traveled extensively and found this one of the worst experiences in a hotel.

Great location, after going up the stairs in front. Understaffed. They let us leave our luggage after check out while we walked around town before catching a bus to our next train reservation, but the place was locked and no one was available when we returned to pick it up. Had to wait an hour, from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm on a Thursday afternoon, and were fortunate that someone in a nearby store knew the manager's phone number so we could find her and get our bags in time for the next train.

To be quite honest, this hotel is so nice with awesome views. BUT the service is terrible. The workers were rude especially if you didn’t speak Italian. They gave our room away and wouldn’t acknowledge that we had proof we booked a bigger room. The facilities were also slightly old and run down. When you tell them something is wrong, they tell you “well that has never happened before you”, which made me feel like they were going to charge us. Overall, cool views but service is absolutely terrible and staff is very unwelcoming......

This hotel is beautiful and is in a great location! The staff is extremely kind and helpful including giving us food and restaurant recommendations. Luggage service was available right off of our hydrofoil (and it is definitely a good idea to use it), and the location is perfect in Amalfi. Our balcony view was INCREDIBLE, and the room was gorgeous and large. the breakfast was also delicious and the views from the roof are spectacular.

Lovely stay in Amalfi - a GEM

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights, it was quiet and romantic. Lovely villa that has been converted into 5 or 6 rooms, our room was large and comfortable with a recently renovated bath, a small terrace and great AC. The staff were warm and helpful, particularly Caterina who helped us with directions and reservations - both critical for Amalfi! (I recommend always making dinner reservations in town, it gets very busy at night). The room was as described, bed and linens comfortable with lots of pillows and an extra blanket, housekeeping was very good. Fridge available to keep your own snacks and wine, if you desire. Watch out for tiny ants if you have food in your room - they came in off the patio and we couldn't get rid of them.The only thing we missed was a dresser, no place to put all of your non-hanging clothes when we unpacked, that would be a welcome addition. Breakfast on the roof was great, fruit, coffee, cheese and meats, and some pastries, all you need to start the day. They arranged a private taxi to take us back to Naples, and the taxi driver tried to fill our cab with another family all all their luggage, we refused to get in his car. This must be a common phenomena. Caterina was very helpful getting us another driver an hour later and he was perfect, drove very smoothly over steep mountain roads and he shared a lot of interesting history on the area. We were very happy! We'll be back!!

Would go somewhere else next time

The hotel only does check ins until 6:30 pm. The bus from Salerno was late and so we weren't able to make it by then. Upon communicating with the hotel, we decided to do a late check in for 30€. Turns out, we were charged that money only to leave the keys inside a little safe. I felt robbed by that. On top of that, the fee and the city taxes had to be paid cash (why? All other hotels accepted credit). The hotel is situated at the very top of a series of staircases, it's quite the workout without bags but with them, it would be impossible for elderly people, they should warn guests about it. Despite all that, the room itself was nice and spacious. Everything was clean enough except for the shower. It was not cleaned during our 5 night stay, nor was it properly done before our arrival. The draining was also terrible, and water came out from the joints. Breakfast is only available 8-10 which means that if you do any tour or excursion, you won't be able to eat anything. All in all, it wasn't terrible but it definitely left a lot to desire.

It was awesome!

I really like being able to come to a hotel and see exactly what the online pictures depicted. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel. I read some some negative reviews before booking, about long stairs and some guy hitting his head against the ceiling beams because of the room design. I just want to say that for us, those were not negatives but rather big pluses. The hotel gave us the same top floor units with 2 sunroof windows--it was AWESOME to use those windows as an observing deck. Regarding the stairs - yes there some stairs, which is just free everyday fitness )) and from 4 days experience I have no idea where you can find a place in Amalfi without stairs :)

Step up to the Amalfi Luxury Hotel

This hotel was very nice, the highlight being the daily breakfast served between 8-10. The lady who works that shift was very kind, there was a good variety of food and drink and the patio itself is lovely.
Please note that there is 100 steps to get from the road to the hotel. Pack a small bag if you can! The bathrooms were all updated, and while the rest of the place is older, its definitely charm and character that this adds.
Also! Eat at the restaurnt at the bottom of the stairs, there is a fountain there with a bunch of animals in the water...it was delicious!
Good hotel, but the climb is not for the faint of heart! And also, if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs....the walls are a bit thin, and the church bella go off at 7:30!

Amalfi luxury house was perfect for our stay. It was well centered in amalfi. The room was cozy and very clean. A typical Italian breakfast was also offered every morning and had a beautiful view. Amalfi was a good location to stay while on the coast. Transportation to other cities is easy from amalfi.

Ok luxuy apartments may sound very luxuorious it is a little bit but if you want to stay up late and watch your shows you cant do that nor if you have some work or want to use your internet you cant do that either the internet is horrible kinda alike the breakfast witch is a joke for 150eur a night 2 pieces of bread with butter its just a shame, otherwise the hotel is clean new beautiful but is it worth 150eur a night propably not

We called the hotel and arranged for someone to meet us by the pier. This is absolutely necessary because the hotel is impossible to find on your own. It is very hidden and there are many stairs so save yourself the hassle and arrange for meetup beforehand. The service was wonderful and the room was new and clean. we enjoyed our stay! There are many stairs to the property.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff

The staff here are great. Simone was a friendly warm and very helpful individual who made my stay all that much better. Great location but be prepared to climb lots and lots of stairs to get there. but don't worry about cause once you get to your room and sit on the terrace while enjoying the view, you will know the climb up to the hotel is well worth it. Will visit again.

Almost banged up in Amalfi

When we arrived to book in we discovered although we had a confirmed booking the hotel was closed for the winter... Disaster was averted however when the owner gave us an upgraded room in one of his other properties- we were just very lucky that the car park attendant knew the owner & was able to contact him for us...the owner James was very apologetic & helpful.

Perfect accomodation in Amalfi

There was a problem with our booking. The original place we have chosen, was closed for renovations when we arrived (Expedia forgot to take it out of the searching) which made us a bit upset, but Gerardo was very helpful and put us in a even much better place. A very beautiful and renovated studio with everything you needed. Nice kitchen, nice and comfortable bed, very nice bathroom with a fantastic shower. Very well located, a few blocks to the beach. Everything turned out to be perfect and we ended up having a fantastic time in this beautiful and charming town. Highly recommended. Thanks Gerardo!

Its alright

The beds are sold as king sized beds but they are queen sized beds- which i find to be a bit of false advertising, considering king sized bed rooms are more expensive. The owner was quite harsh and adbrupt talking to us. The hotel is very beautiful and is in a great spot.

Excellent little find!

After asking for directions from a very helpful local who phoned the hotel, we were shown where to park the car and guided to the hotel, the manager assisting with our heavy suitcases. After walking through a warren of narrow stairs and tunnels we arrived at the hotel and were certainly not disappointed. The location is brilliant if you’re looking for a stay right in the centre of Amalfi yet jolly quiet.

Quiet!Like everyone else stated, the stairs (approximately 120 ) are a little challenging not for the elderly or people with orthopedic issues
It didn't bother me tho. Owner met me at the harbor and took my luggage up the stairs.

Had contacted hotel to advise we would require a late check in time. We were an hour later than we had expected (11.30pm) and Stefano came to meet us and helped with our luggage and check us into our room. He did this with a pleasant manner and a smile.

Glad we stayed in Amalfi

The town of Amalfi is best suited for my wife and I as it doesn't have the glitter of Capri or Positano. It is more of a very quaint "real" town. Hotel staff carried our luggage up to our hotel and room which I could not have done after a long day. Thereafter, the staff was there on a limited basis and there was no breakfast, which didn't worry us as we didn't opt for the extra cost anyway. Loved walking from our hotel into the city street (one main street from ocean to hotel) to see the fish stores putting their catch out and the grocers arranging their fruit (don't touch). It has plenty of the 3 G's - Gelatto, Grapes (wine) and Groceries (dining) within a few minutes walk. The Ferry and Bus stations are at the foot of the main street (don't drive here). You have access to everything in Amalfi (but the Rodeo Drive shops).

Huge room BnB just off the main street of Amalfi

The place was hard to find as it's on one of the side streets and literally just a door which leads up to the BnB! But once found it's impossible to lose. Conveniently located just off the main street in Amalfi, it's only a 5-10 minute walk into town and to the beach. Very convenient location, the rooms are huge, aircon is great, it's clean and newly renovated. We enjoyed our stay.

We loved this hotel. The staff were great, particularly Stephano and Maria!! Lovely roof top terrace for breakfast with gorgeous views. Only negative was 123 steps up to the apartment, although this helped us work off all the lovely pizza and pasta

A gem to be found at the top of the stairs.

Rooms were absoultly amazing; very clean, modern and spacious. Not going to lie... there is a lot of stairs to climb getting to this place, but definitely worth it! Just off of the main shopping street which is the perfect location to be. Just a tip... if you are traveling by car, it is very tedious to get to. The road is closed to auto traffic from 11am-4pm daily and only opens for 20 minutes every hour. You then need to wait for an 8 minute traffic light as each direction passes through the very narrow and people crowded street. Once you arrive at the 3rd party parking facility the owner called the hotel to notify them of our arrival. We were met by a gorgeous gentleman (I was in love!) who then assisted us with our luggage and getting to the hotel! Breakfast was served on the rooftop and was basic but enjoyable. I highly recommend a stay here! Only negative is the 10:00am checkout time.

Stairs galore!

This hotel was great! Only downfall is the many many stairs! We could counted roughly 119. Not fun when it's super hot out. But I guess you're in a coastal. Other than that that hotel was lovely. Our view was of the neighborhood so not sure if any of the other rooms offer a view.

Very nice and well designed hotel in Amalfi

My friend and I drove to the hotel, and then went through a huge ordeal trying to locate the hotel and find parking. It's not easy! The telephone provided by hotel didn't work as well and the door bell wasn't answered. When we finally got to the hotel - we loved it! It's really nicely designed and staff was very sweet and friendly as well as spoke good English.
Breakfast is not included in the stay and when I decided to have one I was reminded about the 15 euro charge every way too many times. Breakfast is not great also, so wouldn't recommend that.
The hotel is far from the beach (15-20 minute walk) but most hotels in the area are that way.
Overall if you can find the hotel on your arrival - the stay is nice! ;)

Dreadful experience. The entrance to this "luxury" hotel is literally on the side of the highway tunnel on the Amalfi coast. The room did not resemble the photos or description. Lights on the comprise did not function and so you had to feel your way along the walls.the shower was built into the bedroom with no privacy. The air conditioning was unbearably loud. The place had a seedy feel to it....I slept with one eye open. The experience left me feeling that I had been scammed.

予約時に裏道を教えて頂けたら助かりました。

Plus you have to eat on the roof even the weather is so hot.

Luxury home is luxury for only the workers not for the customer.

There is so much cleaning detergent bleach inside the room, it smells so bad.

The man at the desk was not helpful. Their checkin time 18:30. My ferry arrived at 18:30 and i had to run with my luggages. He did not want wait.
Next day, Although there is a place for luggage, they don accept alhough some one works there till 18:30.

İf you have luggage, i never recommend as there are at least 200 steps.

Plus you have to eat on the roof even the weather is so hot.

Luxury home is luxury for only the workers not for the customer.

There is so much cleaning detergent bleach inside the room

Alojamento espetacular no centro de Amalfi.

Quarto excelente e super limpo, localizado no centro de Amalfi. O pequeno almoço era bom e apreciei terem atenção ao desperdício.
Apesar dos inúmeros comentários que li sobre as escadas até ao alojamento, achei acessível, mas não recomendo levarem malas grandes porque pode dificultar a subida.
Foi possível fazer o checkin mais cedo e deixar as malas no checkout. Foram super atenciosos.

Autant le logement est confortable, propre et agréable, autant l'accès est très compliqué en voiture du fait qu'il ne peut se faire que via une rue piétonne sans possibilité de stationnement et que le garage conseillé par l'hôte est également difficile à trouver...
Nous avons donc perdu plus d'1h30 à trouver le garage puis le logement ce qui a gâcher l'après midi...
De plus, le logement est sur les hauteurs d'Amalfi :il est impossible d'accès pour des personnes ayant des difficultés de mobilité

El alejamiento es muy bonito aunque se encuentra en un lugar bastante empinado como todo el pueblo, el internet funciona bien y el desayuno es bueno sobre todo el croissant. Lo malo es que te pidan una garantía por si robas o rompes algo en el hotel cada vez es más común encontrar de esas cosas en Italia no en otros lugares del mundo que realmente son poco agradables.
