Hotel was amazing, we arrived early and can leave our bags at checkin. Luckily there was only 84 steps to get to the hotel lol. Room was amazing and breakfast had everything fresh.

Gorgeous town, great views but hotel is a bit tired. I’ve not seen blankets on a bed for a long time. Pillows and mattress need an upgrade. View from room was lovely but bathroom was so noisy - sounded like water running through pipes all night. Atrani is a wonderful place to stay though and would recommend over Amalfi.

This is our favorite hotel! We stayed here in 2012 and the manager gave us $200 to use until we could get to a bank the next day. My husband’s wallet had been stolen on the bus from Rome. We were determined to return to the hotel with such fabulous employees. Carlos helped us many times, what a gentleman!The room and view were exceptional!

Bathroom: Shower drain didn't have cover so bathroom smelled all the time. Hair dryer coil heating up but blower fan didn't work. Toilet kept running water after use. Had to push lever hard to stop.

We loved our stay here at the hotel! The staff were so friendly and helped us with any questions or demands we needed. It’s also a short walk to Amalfi so it’s the perfect place to stay if you are looking for something quiet and relaxing. And the view of the ocean was incredible!

The hotel was very nice, our room was absolutely beautiful and the view was amazing. Water did back up in the shower though. Grateful for the cleaning staff who cleaned the room everyday. The front desk staff was very nice as well. Only thing we really did not like was one of the staff members took more tip than we had wanted to give. We told him to take €5 and he took €10 which was fine and we didn’t say anything because we appreciated his help, as it is a long way up. For checkout though he brought our bags down with out us requesting his help, then when at the bottom he did not let us leave until we gave him money. That made us uncomfortable. We did not have change and were in a rush and we had to wait for him to get change. I think it was inappropriate to beg for money, especially considering we gave him €10 to begin with, and it was just all around unprofessional.

If you can make it up the 70-80 something steps with your luggage, you’re in for a treat. This hotel is very kind. Very clean. The free breakfast buffet is incredible. Wide variety of options and everything was fantastic. Best breakfast buffet I’ve had from an hotel.
Things your gps probably won’t tell you. There is a private pedestrian tunnel on the edge of Amalfi to take you through the hill into Atrani. Avoiding the winding mountain road where there is no sidewalks. Makes walking everywhere an easy breeze.

The staff is very polite and professional. Our room was clean. Spacious. Gorgeous view of the ocean and mountains from our balcony.
Came here for part of our honeymoon and we were very pleased. Thank you

Overall good experience. However plumbing in room - both the tubs and showers need maintenance. Continuous backups and poor drainage. Constant smell of sewage coming from pipes.

Definitely was not a 4 star hotel. My room was damp the entire time there. Bed was firm and finding the hotel initially was very difficult. Trying to communicate with the staff about how to access the property turned into them sending me responses in caps lock. Not a great start to the trip.

Hotel is in a nice location, walkable to amalfi. But it has 85 stairs so be ready for cardio.
Hotel staff is friendly, do use their porter service and don’t lift your own bags.
Carlos is a great guy, picked our luggage like it’s nothing.
Breakfast was pretty good, no complaints i just felt that Atrani is not that happening so no reason to stay so far.

Upon arrival there was no staff available to assist with our luggage and we had to carry everything upstairs ourselves
During our stay the room was only cleaned once and that was after we specifically requested it
Basic amenities were also lacking, We never received the complimentary water that was supposed to be provided and we had to repeatedly ask just to get tea bags
Overall the lack of attentiveness and poor service made the stay far less enjoyable than it should have been
I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and improves their hospitality standards going forward.

AMAZING!!! We are so in love with this place, the staff are amazing and friendly and more than accomodating, Carlos took good care of us the entire time and i cannot recommend Diana up on the solaris enough she was the sweetest, great food great drinks STUNNING views. Do your research theres obviously going to be stairs, but they are well worth it (i think i counted 60 stairs) haha
The breakfast included is amazing!
All of the staff here are just the best, i didnt get everyones names but thank you 💗
We well enjoyed our stay and will be back for more!

First let me say that Carlo, the male
Employee who helped carry our luggage is a wonderful person! He was so attentive and very kind. He is the number one reason we would return to this hotel. Carlo number one!
But it's important to note- this property is not for the weak. 80 plus steps just to get to the lobby. We were there for several nights. The most incredible part of this place is opening the balcony doors of our room and seeing the ocean shimmer every day. The cool breeze at night was a bonus. The breakfast buffet was delicious and as we were traveling with our 3 kids, it allowed us to fuel up with ease before a long day of adventure.

This is our second stay. We love this hotel, the spa, the staff, and the entire experience. The view from our room is always so magical. There is a rooftop area that we love to enjoy once the sun goes down. It's quiet and not many people are up there. We love the breakfast. The staff that prepares and serves the food are terrific. They are so sweet and kind. The breakfast is a full breakfast, with hot options, like scrambled eggs. Carlo helped us with our bags and was helpful in providing tips on where to eat. The spa is a beautiful and private. This hotel is in Atrani, a short walk from the town of Amalfi. You get the beauty of Amalfi without the hustle and bustle. It's quiet and more low key. There is always plenty of beach access.

Our stay was amazing! All staff that we encountered were so helpful and spoke great English. Yes, there are a lot of stairs to get to the hotel, but this is not a secret. The hotel stares this very clearly. And it is very typical of all accommodations in the area. At check in, we were escorted to our room, which was stunningly beautiful. The included breakfast had quite a lot of variety with pastries, meat/cheese, egg options, toast, cereals, and beverages. The rooftop patio with bar service was incredible, we enjoyed the rooftop hot tub as well with views that take your breath away. I would highly recommend!!

Our overall stay was let down by a few small details that made for, an overall, frustrating experience. The free WiFi advertised was awful. We couldn’t stream anything in the night and any messages were not sending throughout. The breakfast was a pretty limited offering for a £254 a night room and everything was stone cold. No Bain Marie to keep the food warm. The stay was saved by a very polite and helpful waitress who served amazing cocktails. Although we did wait 30 minutes for two cocktails. I understand if it is busy there will be a wait but there was only 1 visible waitress. This is a problem with the management not putting enough staff on. Or enough trained staff. If you do chose to come here I recommend the bar in the square where the cocktails are half the price and the service is quick.

Our stay was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING:

- No direct access to the hotel — we had to carry our luggage up ~70 steps with no prior warning in the first page or even at the itinerary.
- Room had a strong, unpleasant odor upon arrival.
- Its much older than it looks like in pictures.
- Third bed had no sheets, towels, or blanket — despite booking for 3 guests.
- The most serious issue: we were locked out of the hotel at 1:00 AM. We rang the bell and called the hotel for over 2 hours with no response. Expedia couldn’t reach them either.
- Finally let in at 3:15 AM by a staff member — a completely unacceptable and unsafe situation.

We checked out the next morning due to the distress caused. This was far below basic hospitality standards.
I’m requesting a full refund and they are charging me 300€ for a night that we spent it mostly at the steps behind the entry door!!!

I’m giving this high rating because I had a payment issue during after-hours, and even though the manager wasn’t physically on-site, the front desk contacted them immediately and the issue was resolved within minutes. It showed how committed the manager is to supporting guests and providing excellent service, even outside of normal hours.

Also, I want to mention that Expedia’s customer service was amazing as well. They supported me very well during the process and were extremely helpful. If you ever book the wrong place or face a problem, Expedia’s team is there to help. I’m really happy booking my stays through Expedia!

Disappointing Stay – Would Not Return

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days with the intention of exploring the Amalfi area, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience overall and I would not return.

While the staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel itself and the area around it were far from what was advertised. To reach the hotel, you have to climb about 70 steps — which are dirty, surrounded by overgrown greenery, and have a strong, unpleasant smell. The pathway felt sketchy, especially at night, with minimal lighting, which made it feel unsafe.

Even though Amalfi is only a 10-minute walk away, it’s not an easy walk — it’s a steep, tiring climb with many stairs, definitely not something we looked forward to doing multiple times a day.

The room itself didn’t feel clean or comfortable. The bathroom looked old and worn down, and even after cleaning, there were still visible hairs and the towels didn’t feel fresh. There was nothing luxurious about it, which was frustrating given the price we paid. The only positive was the view — but sadly, that alone wasn’t enough to make up for the rest of the experience.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. For the cost, you can find something much nicer, more accessible, and in a better area.

We stayed for 5 nights here and made use of the spa. Roberta who served us breakfast each day was so helpful and friendly. The room had an amazing view over the bay and the spa was relaxing. We would stay again as this is only 10 mins walk into Amalfi via the tunnel and away from the madness of they crowds in Amalfi. Good places to eat in Atrani and a beach.

We initially stayed in a standard room and asked to move because the size was too small and the room amenities were mediocre, bed was hard, pillows were flat, and bathroom was tiny, also seems outdated. We then upgraded to a room with a view and it was night and day. The room and bathroom was spacious and the furnishings were newer. Highly recommend paying for the view and the upgraded rooms but hard to tel what you will get when booking, glad we upgraded made our stay much better.

Staying at Palazzo Ferraioli Hotel & Wellness Center in Atrani was truly a wonderful experience. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the Amalfi Coast but tucked away from the busier, more crowded areas like Amalfi or Positano. Atrani is a charming, atmospheric village with so much character, and staying here gave us a more authentic, peaceful experience.

The hotel itself is beautifully designed, blending modern comforts with historic touches. The rooms offer stunning views of the sea and the surrounding cliffs, and the atmosphere is so relaxing. What we loved most was how uncrowded it felt compared to other parts of the coast, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. If you’re looking for a serene getaway in a prime Amalfi Coast location, Palazzo Ferraioli is the place to stay. Highly recommended!

Missing PF/Atrani

Palazzo Ferraioli is amazing hotel, in an amazing place. We were in room 501 (Anna) and the views were jaw dropping. We could see the church and town, the beach and sea and the mountains above.

This room is on the top floor, on a corner so it allows for two windows, facing east and south. The room was redone beautifully with a high ceiling with cathedral arch (correct term?). The big bath was a fun novelty but I would have liked a few drawers for clothes. And the shower drained slowly. But the bedroom suite was comfortable, new and clean. The entire hotel is spotless and Carlo is always ready to help. His quick actions actually got us to our ferry on time when there was a mixup with the driver. If they say he’s in front of the restaurant, go to the beach side, not the plaza side.

Atrani is stunning and PF hotel is only about 100 stairs up from Plaza Umberto. Google sent us the wrong way and added a lot of stairs. I’m including a picture for the correct staircase from Plaza Umberto. There is another staircase that leads to PF from the beach side.

We spoke one afternoon for some time with the woman behind the counter. I don’t have her name but when we asked how our room got its name it sparked a conversation about Italian film and social media attention spans. She was wonderful and speaks English better than she believes.

I wish we’d stayed six days at PF instead of 3 in Atrani and 3 in Naples.

The hotel was close to Amalfi amd has its own little beach as well (One side for renting chairs and umbrellas, the other side you you can bring your own.) Everything is walkable and there is a long term parking garage about 10 min walk from there. They dont have a parking lot for the hotel but they do provide two people phone numbers the hotel trusts to park your car for you.

Very nice little hotel. Not very walkable (a lot of stairs), but Carlo did most of the heavy carrying of the luggage without complaining. Great staff in the lobby and at the breakfast restaurant (pretty good breakfast included). However, they are a star short due to a rude and not very professional waiter at the rooftop bar. I would stay there again due to the rest of the staff, who were really nice, but I would walk far to find a better bar service.

Perfect location on the Amalfi Coast

Really paid for th location but it was right where we wanted to be. Not sure if we would stay again but we really enjoyed our time there. The free breakfast was amazing and huge plus during our stay.

Wonderful hotel with absolutely stunning views. The town of Atrani was our favorite on the coast -- great restaurants and much less crowded than the other cities we visited. Staff is kind and helpful, breakfast was great. Carlo was an incredible help getting our suitcases up and down the stairs. Would definitely stay again! I've attached some photos of the view from the hotel and rooftop. So beautiful!

The whole staff was great, the two ladies at the front especially helpful with recommendations and directions to great options during our trip. Carlo was very helpful as well! With the amount of stairs you need to go up and down he made it so much easier with carrying our luggage for us!
Great stay would absolutely stay there again!!

Amazing property located in the most perfect town on the Amalfi coast. I will be staying here every time I go. The staff was incredible especially the reception and both of the bellboys. In addition to the excellent service you are greeted with the most jaw dropping room from your balcony. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Property advertises valet parking however this is not available, no parking in the area unless you have a local permit. There is only one parking garage nearby that was completely full so we spent over 2 hours trying to find overnight parking. Additionally that request that you hand in your key any time you leave the hotel which we found was strange. Other than that the hotel was nice and in a convenient location. The few restaurants that were in Atrani were great.

Atrani is the best place to stay, just a 10-minute walk from Amalfi, far away from the busyness. Very quiet place with some good restaurants, more affordable. The Hotel is very nice, the room was excellent. The only negative was, they gave us the wrong room and we had to move to another one. The shower wasn't working properly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, their English wasn't great. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The room was excellent with amazing views of the ocean and Atrani. Its location is great for getting to Amalfi and is quiet so you can get a good nights sleep away from the busy centre of Amalfi.

The team at Palazzo Ferraioli are fantastic and so helpful and warm. The breakfast was very good as was the coffee and service.

Some people have posted negative reviews for accessibility which I can understand but everything is documented in the listing. The hotel is located within a medieval city so lots of steps to climb!

We would definitely stay again as 1 week is not enough to explore all that Campania has to offer.

Highly recommend, large room with amazing views

I loved my stay. The view from my room was spectacular. The room was very spacious and comfortable and I love that each room has its own unique twist.
The location is great, it’s so much more peaceful than Amalfi, not dealing with the huge crowds and it’s only a 10 minute walk to Amalfi (use the pedestrian cave) when you do want to visit.
Great restaurants and a nice beach!
What really stood out was the service here. Carlo was perfect and so so helpful with my large luggage upon arrival and departure. He went above and beyond.
