Eco Torarica was the perfect blend of comfort, nature, and convenience. The lush green surroundings created a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax, while still being close to the heart of Paramaribo. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We especially enjoyed having access to amenities at the other nearby Torarica hotels.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit, always ready with a smile or assistance. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and we especially appreciated the eco-conscious touches throughout the property.

We would definitely recommend Eco Torarica to anyone looking for a quiet and refreshing stay in Paramaribo. Would love to return!

The airline messed up my departure. No one could have been help any more than I was by the hotel in this situation. They went above and beyond to resolve the problems created by the airline. The staff was great very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The hotel is on the river great place for pheasant break. There are a number places to eat and play. Will plan on a return.

I loved this hotel, it is a beautiful place that is very well run.
I stayed here twice on my trip through the Guianas, and each time the staff was helpful, friendly and accommodating. I especially enjoyed the freshly made to order eggs each morning as well as the cappuccino machine in the breakfast area.

Great to be back at the property after 5 years (Covid and renovations). Only issue is the expense of breakfast ($25). I also did not get the river view I had expected. Be aware that river side does not mean river view just that you’re in the 2nd building which is closer to the river as compared to the 1st building which is closer to the street.

First of all, upon checking-in the front desk staff informed me that my reservation did not include breakfast. Which I know I had booked inclusive of breakfast, I was asked to provide the evidence which I did immediately, and later asked to submit the information via email. I never received a response and has to inquire several times what is the status with my issue.
At last I was informed that it was approved and my stay included breakfast (after inquiring about 8 times), however EVERY morning I went to dine I was informed that my booking does not include breakfast. This was very embrasing, as everyday I had to reiterate the same story! The staff had to inquire from the front-desk, who then had to inquire from reservation if I am allowed breakfast EVERYDAY!
Secondly, my room was inadequately prepared, there was no soap in the bathroom dispenser, no face tissue, no bath mat, no iron iron board (had to request). Additionally, there were some kind of bugs in the pillows/sheets (I am not sure). I checked with my doctor upon retuning home regarding the itches and bumps on my neck and feet and he informed it is bedbugs.
I am very dissatisfied with my stay at Eco Inn.
At least the restaurant and bar staff were very nice and courteous (5-stars to them only).

We were greeted by very friendly front desk staff. We arrived close to 2:00A.M. And were warmly welcomed.
Breakfat next morning was outstanding. We are vegetarians and there was even a vegetarian pan for frying our eggs
The room was very clean, not huge but certainly big enough. Bathroom was very clean.
Grounds are kept up beautifully.
Only complaint...not enough shade around the pool.
Enjoyed sitting on the bench by the river
All in all, we were very satisfied with this hotel and recommend it highly

forget all the nasty comments about this hotel it is a top class hotel for a fair price we were so well treated we thought we were at a 5 star hotel we did not want to leave there at the end of the trip we cant wait to go there again i consider myself lucky to have found such a lovely hotel in the middle of everything.
staff was awesome room fresh and clean the cleaners were lovely and safe to have in your room the even went overboard and treat us on our 25 wedding anniversary to a bottle of champane and decor in the room for our special stay it was unheard of anywhere else even the guards at the gate was so great thks expedia and thks eco resort for making our 25 anniversary so special .

It's high season but everyone prefers to use the larger more popular facilities at Torarica which guests have free access to. Consequently I was more than happy to enjoy the small pool overlooking the river all to myself since I was only staying at the Eco to have a quiet couple of days of relaxation. Have stayed here before and given the price, cleanliness and location I will stay again. Breakfast is also very nice.

For the price it's a great value. The staff are excellent and the hotel is kept very clean - cleaner than many North American hotels I've stayed in. The view isn't outstanding but the building and grounds are nice and the breakfast buffet is ample with made-to-order pancakes and omelet available as well.

We have now stayed on 2 separate occasions for 3 and 4 days. The hotel is set on the Suriname river close to the Toriaca hotel, another hotel in the chain. On our first visit we had some issues at check in, also service at the restaurant was rather tardy when we tried to eat there . These are the negatives positives are great position, nice pool by the river, good breakfast included in the rate. Rooms are pleasant and have small balconies, TV has adequate English channels and wifi works pretty well. Also you can use the facilities at the Toriaca hotel, which has a great larger pool. It has a pleasant garden aspect with lots of birds.

The hotel is a great place to relax, in walking distance of some restaurants. We took a dolphin spotting trip and enjoyed it very much, saw lots of dolphins!
Could have used a coffee maker in the room.

Had the best room in the hotel. Really enjoyed my stay. Beware though - river side does not mean river view. May not be worth paying additional cost for unless you have a room facing the river.

Use of amenities at partner location Torarica also a plus. Pool, gym, jacuzzi, sauna and fitness classes, as well as massage options (cost) worth it.

Great location, close to sight seeing, short/cheap taxi ride to city center (walkable if not too hot), close to entertainment options.

Will absolutely stay there again.

'Stingy' hotel, good location, good breakfast.

rooms are ok, but in very mediocre condition, rusty shower, telephone in very bad condition, even local calls within Paramaribo are charged to your bill (rather pathetic) and also $15,50 per day (!) is charged for use of electricity and water!!!!! What is the use of a hotel room, without electricity and water (also rather pathetic and extremely keen on making extra money)?

Great place, excellent view to Suriname River

I traveled to Suriname for almost two years, during my trips I spend part of the time in Paramaribo and in the Hinterland. Thus I need to check in and out from hotels in the City. At Eco resort I have all the servces i need, shuttle, breakfast, taxi service, restaurant in walking distance and closet for my bags when I go on to short trips to the hinterland in between my stays. I higly recomend it as iti is a good place to stay within a reasoble budget.

Great, friendly staff is the highlight of this hotel. It's a lovely stop to sleep at night but you definitely need to be up and about your own agenda. The room was much smaller than anticipated. The pool was perfect for about 6 children at once although you receive a card for access to a pool at another hotel 10 minutes walk away. Breakfast lacked variety and if you did not love meat cheese was always your option.

Well situated at a reasonable distance from the major recommended sites, food establishments and the shopping district. If walking was not your fancy then taxis were easily accessible

I booked this hotel for 2 nights and due to unforeseen circumstances, my trip was pushed back by 1 day. The staff was very accommodating and didn't charge me a late or no show fee, for which I was very grateful. However, when I got there, I was told a different rate from the one quoted to me online. It took them one hour to partially sort it out, and I noticed that they gave us a different room. I don't know if it was a downgrade, as I didn't see the initial room.

The pool is very tiny but a great plus is that guests of this inn have access to the outdoor facilities at the sister hotel, Torarica hotel. That pool was beautiful and we also had access to hot tubs.

The room itself was disappointing because the bathroom was very basic (tiny showerhead, no soap dish), and the overall look of the room was on the older side.

Good Value - though nothing 'Eco' about this Inn

Other than the washroom soap wrapped in burlap, there's nothing 'eco-ish' about the Eco Resort Inn - it's located in the middle of Paramaribo, and has raw sewage flowing into the Suriname river behind the resort (and alarmingly close to the pool).

Still, great value for the money. Impeccably clean rooms, and bone-chilling air conditioning, which you'll need. Fast wi-fi, and the food is good, too. Included in the price is a full scale breakfast buffet which you'll be sharing with numerous Dutch tourists.

Friendly staff. Unfortunately, the resort's pickup and transfers from the airport are no longer free - it's $15 each way, but much cheaper than the extortionate US$55 you'll be charged by a taxi.

Only major downside was the noise.....the resort is located adjacent to a loud hip-hop/reggaeton/rap/whatever nightclub, so it can be noisy. Lots of neighbourhood dogs howling at all hours of the night, too.

My booking was made via Expedia which was very efficient. The hotel has a pleasant feel about it but my room was in one of the older sections. The building and room looked very tired and needs a serious revamp. However, the breakfast area and bar was fine and overall the stay was comfortable.

Colleagues were in a newer part of the hotel which was more acceptable. Thus I would stay at the Eco Resort again, but would wish to stay in the more modern block.

Absolutely wonderful hotel! The Eco Resort Inn exceeded all of my expectations. The staff was pleasant and eager to assist with any requests I had, they were very helpful. The breakfast buffet was diverse with many items to choose from. The free Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. The location of the hotel was within walking distance to the central entertainment area of town. Housekeeping did an exceptional job at ensuring the room was made-up daily. The room was clean and comfortable. The balcony view is great, and never once heard any noises from the neighbors or outside street sounds. The Eco Resort Inn had one of the nicest and most comfortable beds I've ever slept in, I only wish I could find a bed of similar comfort for myself back home!
