If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway without the noise of cars or loud music, this is the perfect spot. The hotel is just 15 minutes from the Malecón, yet it feels wonderfully safe and quiet — exactly what we love. I enjoyed an incredible massage during my stay, and we’re already planning to return next year.

The property is clean and nice. It’s directly on the Baja Marina, which is a beautiful area. It’s about a 10 minute drive from the Melacon, but very peaceful. It seems like it’s a newer resort in a developing area, as the staff all seem to be pretty new at their jobs. It’s just what it seems like. For instance, questions about the airport and then dining at the restaurant, some servers just didn’t either know the answer to our questions or didn’t understand English well. However, it seems most of the people staying at the hotel were English speaking. Also, we wanted to rent paddle boards, but the person who ran that area was never there in the morning when they were supposed to be.
However, the beach is very calm and clean, and swimmable with two large floating platform rafts out in the water.

The noise level was horrible. Far from relaxing. Perhaps because they had two wedding events, but the noise level was terrible. Our first night, we were not allowed to access the beach club to lounge due to a wedding. The surrounding tenants, were so pound it made it difficult to get some sort of sleep.
The second night, they hosted a second wedding at the Cortez golf club located at the top of the hill. however the music for the reception was a concert style type of party and once again, the noise was extremely loud. Not what I expected for a small vacation from our fast paced lifestyle.

The room had a strong sewer smell coming from the air conditioning. We reported it to the front desk, and they said maintenance would look into it. I’m not sure if anything was done, because the smell was still there during our stay. Unfortunately, it made the room uncomfortable and affected our overall experience.

Rosie gave me such a great massage at the spa I went back 2 more times! Maria, our housekeeper is professional and sweet. See Jonathan at the Beach Club and he will take great care of you and get local history and information. Haram at the restaurant Barco stopped at nothing to make us happy. Mario drove us in the hotel shuttle to try to deliver a pizza to our kids on a boat at anchor and boy did he put in the effort. Thank you, Mario! They were very pleased to get food that night! I highly recommend a stay at this hotel. One of the best experiences I’ve had in all of my years of traveling.

Stayed here for 4 days and it was amazing! Beautiful beach and views. Hotel was clean, beds comfortable, and service was excellent . Taxis take 5 min to arrive. It’s about 20 min from Malecon so I’d recommend you rent a car instead. We spent too much money on ride share and taxi. We also had room service and food at the beach - everything was good! I can’t wait to return.

We were very happy with our vacation at Hotel Indigo, it was a great experience for our family of four. It was safe for families with children, amenities were great, there was the hotel pool and the beach club pool that was very convenient for being at the beach club all day.
The beach is in a bay so there are no waves and you can walk out pretty far into the ocean. There are inflatables in the middle of the bay you can swim out to, for lounging and one with a slide.
We rented paddle boards and went to a secluded beach area near by that was nice.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The hotel offers internal transportation between its restaurants, which is very convenient, though parking is valet-only. There are two pools (one with a bar) — nice but nothing out of the ordinary. I appreciated the daily housekeeping and that they’re generous with water bottles.
The gym is small with limited equipment, but the AC kept the room comfortable. Check-in was smooth, and the staff helped me arrange a car rental. They offer many services, but you usually have to ask to find out (like transportation to nearby restaurants).

From the moment my Family and I arrived, our experience at Hotel Indigo was absolutely amazing. As we pulled up to the hotel we were greeted with a friendly smile and was helped out of our car and with our luggage.
While we were checking in, we were brought some tasty drinks and cold water. Check in was very quick and smooth.
Once we arrived in our room, there were some chocolate dipped strawberries waiting. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Although the rooms are a bit small, we had a beautiful view of the pool and ocean.
The food and drinks were exceptional, fresh and very tasty.
We ate breakfast every morning at Barco and David, Jose Lopez, Jesus and Azael Lopez were very kind and gave great service. Jose was even able to arrange for us to get box lunches for our excursion to Balandra beach.
I can't recommend Martin at the pool bar enough. He was very funny and made the best drinks. I still miss my Margarita de Fresa en las rocas :)
Raul was the man at the beach that kept us well hydrated and fed. He was very kind and we loved that he told us about all the different sea life that swims to the shore in the late Fall.
Hazel was a very big help in booking our bracelets for Balandra beach. The website was having issues and Hazel was able to help us get 3 bracelets. She was also a wealth of knowledge about where to eat around La Paz.

The hotel was clean, and most of the staff were great. However, it seems that the staff is not enough in some areas, such as the restaurant, and during peak times, during hotel check-in.
Prices of some items are high considering the quality of the food/drinks, but as nothing is close, you need to pay.
Fridges in the room do not work, so don't count on them.
Access to the beach is tough and not for older/kids, the best path is something they should look to improve.
Pools are in good condition, and if they are not warm, the temperature on hot days is good enough.

All the staff we super friendly and knowledgeable. Honestly we will come back and recommend this place highly . Although I do make a request for an extra hot tub near the main pool area please .please offer reef friendly sunblock for purchase as we forgot ours and the ones the hotel sold were not .

The property is great but we had an inconvenience since the main pool was under construction. The hotel never let us know that the main pool wasn’t available. They did offer for us to use the beach club pool which is very small. We had to fight the front desk to use the blue club pool. Which by the way is only for members.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Indigo. As other reviewers mention, best to rent a car if you plan on exploring La Paz itself, though the small marina surrounding the hotel is very nice with a few dining options. A taxi to the Malecon is about 10-15 min ride for 200 pesos each way.
Beach access was wonderful, older reviews stated there was a fee to enter the beach club, but confirming there is no fee. Miami Vice cocktail was a pool & hot tub favorite for tons of folks! Bartenders were lovely and put on American Football whenever there was a big NFL playoff / college bowl game.
If you book a stay with breakfast included at Barco, note you have to order the \"American\" breakfast on the menu which includes coffee, juice, pastry, and a breakfast item. If you don't specifically order the American breakfast, and even if you order less a-la-carte, you will be charged. Every meal at Barco was absolutely delicious.
The gym now has a full set of free weights, 2 treadmills (1 not working), a stationary bike, and mats. Max 2-3 people at a time due to its small size.

Very nice hotel with excellent quiet beach attached. It is off the main road and requires one to go into the security protected private road, requiring a bit of driving to La Paz, but this makes it quite peaceful. Beautiful setting.
