The gentleman at the desk recognized that we were 2 old people who were exhausted after a horrible day dealing with the Istanbul airport. He offered us a menu for their restaurant and told us any time we wanted anything, just to call. They will prepare and deliver it.
The room was immaculate. Scented soap, a large, sparkling clean shower, even scented toilet paper! We appreciated the soft linens, the comfortable bed and the quiet room decor. A call came later in the evening to remind us to be ready for the shuttle at 5am. When we were ready to leave, the owner apologized because breakfast wouldn't start until 8. He handed us a bag with 2 large,freshly prepared sandwiches and juice. The hospitality was warm and the service terrific. Thank you for your kindness!

I stayed at this hotel during my overnight stay in Istanbul. The hotel is located close to the airport and it offers one way free transportation which can be arranged prior to arrival. I found the hotel staff quite helpful and friendly. I was greeted at the front desk by a young man named Yazan who speaks very good English. I really appreciated his very courteous and professional service. The check-in process was quick. I found my room clean with a very comfortable bed. I’ll definitely consider to stay at this hotel in the future.

I have stayed in many hotels in Istanbul and this was the worse experience of all. The hotel is far away from the airport. The hotel advertised free transportation to and from the airport, which I found was not true. Only one way transportation is provided. Even after I showed all the communication with the hotel none of which showed that transportation was one way, the hotel owner and manager did nothing to correct it. There did not seem to be any decent places to eat dinner near by so ate at the hotel. The dinner was subpar and cold. It seemed like the food was brought from else where and warmed up, not freshly made in the hotel.

Great place with great staff that is not too far from the airport. Receptionist gave me a lot of tips for seeing the city. They even packed me a bag sandwich on my departure day as I left earlier than their breakfast time. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!

We stayed at Grand Hamit Hotel in Istanbul and had a great experience! We were picked up at the airport and had another flight the next day, so the hotel kindly arranged our transportation back as well, super convenient and stress-free.
The staff were very welcoming and kind, and the included breakfast was a nice bonus. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We even met other Canadians during breakfast and had a great chat together!

Yes, the room was clean, put I got too single beds, any the room was assigned to me originally, wasn't even prepared, so I had to make do with whatever was avaliable at that tıme. I didn't even check in till after 4 Pm.

The hotel is a solid choice, especially given its convenient proximity to the airport. I’ve stayed here regularly during my stopovers in Istanbul and have always appreciated the clean rooms and overall comfort. However, the airport shuttle service has changed. It used to offer round-trip transfers, but it is now limited to a one-way shuttle to the airport, offered only once a day at noon. Despite this update, the property remains a decent option for a short stay.

The hotel itself is lovely and my room was perfect. However, and I don't want to complain about the hotel because this is a cultural issue. I picked this hotel because it had a restaurant and I was travelling solo. In fact, there isn't really a restaurant but you can order food and they go get it from somewhere. I was okay with that but had hoped to have some wine with my dinner but this is an alcohol-free establishment. I know that can be the case in Turkey but all hotels I have stayed in on the western side always had wine available. Not a downside of the hotel but clients need to know this.

I was very pleasantly surprised. I chose the hotel for my two nights based on price and rating, despite its distance from the airport and Istanbul. The room was spotless and bedding clean and comfortable, although various items need tightening/adjusting (table, toilet seat, exhaust fan). Breakfast included fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, as well as delicious feta cheese, black olives and simit—all way above my expectation. The service was stellar. All the hotel staff were attentive and kind. Highly recommended.

Stayed in this hotel for a 9 hour overnight layover. For this purpose - a great place. Clean, nice (though small), quiet room, very helpful staff. Be advised - the \"restaurant\" in the hotel actually orders food from elsewhere, so it will be more expensive than eating out. Order beforehand, delivery may take a while. Taxi ride from/to the airport was 700 - 870 lira ( Oct 2025).

I picked this property because it was advertised as having one way airport shuttle included. I wanted to make it easier to get to my early morning flight, as it is closer to the airport. When I arrived, I was told the shuttle service was only free coming from the airport, and I had to pay $30 for the transfer! My room was small and uncomfortable, and the area was not very pleasant. There was a large mall at a 10 minutes walk, but definitely not attached to the hotel. I would not have chosen this hotel if I know I also had to pay for the additional airport transfer!
