This is a charming hotel. We stayed in the suit room as a family, it was spacious and comfortable. We had a plate of fruit left by the hotel manager, which was a lovely touch. Perhaps the hotel is getting a little old at places, but that didn’t bother us. We normally stay at more modern hotels and we really like the old fashioned charm of this hotel. The rooms have balconies with a stunning view of the Anitkabir, the key monument in the city. Central location, easy to get to on the metro.

95% of staff very good, professional, and friendly, especially in restaurant for breakfast, cleaning crews, front door staff, security people, and front desk. There were some businesses in the neighborhood inappropriate for a family oriented hotel, but staff were very supportive about that subject, and hotel existed there way before those other businesses came to neighborhood. I also did not like the fact that management did not let us to leave earlier when our job was done. We had to pay for two weeks of reservation in advance, but when we were finished with our affairs, they did not want to pay back if we left earlier.
Location was very good, just ten minutes walk to the center of everything.

Te Hotel is based in a area where everything is in easy reach by walking, taxi, buses. The property is beautifully decorated and very clean. The staff were very nice, friendly and very helpful. The room we had was very comfortable and clean too but there was only one downfall there was a damp smell coming from the bathroom which was very strong at times. We did mention this situation to the staff but we were only staying for the one night and no other rooms were available due to celebrations of Republic Day in Turkey.

My family had a pleasant stay in Ickale hotel. The location is perfect for sightseeing. The personnel is really helpful and understanding. We could leave the car next to the hotel entrance and the personnel was parking it behind the building in the private space. We also got packed breakfast as we left the hotel really early in the morning. Everything was really clean. We also enjoyed the small pool. The only thing which could be improved is bigger diversity of breakfast food, specially for guests staying longer in the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at Ickale Hotel. The stuff is very nice and helpful. Miraç and girls at the reception help us a lot during our stay. The breakfast is very nice. I love the atmosphere in this place and very beautiful antique style of the hotel . We have experience with other hotels in Ankara because we have to stay for almost 3 weeks for a visa purpose. We decided to extend our stay at this hotel. This hotel is located close to the public transportation. I would highly recommend the Ickale hotel for everyone. The price for what you get is very nice compared to other hotels in the area. I would definitely come back to Ickale Hotel again. Thank you for nice experience!

We enjoyed our stay at the Ickale Hotel. We have to spend a lot of time in Ankara for a visa purpose. We decided to extend our stay and stay at this place. We love the breakfast here compared to the other place that we stayed before. The hotel is beautiful. We like the decorations and the antique style of this hotel. Overall this is a great hotel for the money you pay. Downside is that most of the rooms face the adjacent block and there is no view. There are no bathrobes in the rooms and the towels are too small after a shower. Also, there are no international channels on cable tv. For a 5 star hotel catering to an international client base, it should be fixed.

I liked this charming, old hotel. Although it is located on a very busy street in a not great neighborhood I was able to rest and enjoy my stay in my roomy, comfortable room. It had little nuances which I liked for instance, the shower has a raised edge which prevents water from going on to the bathroom floor. I especially appreciated that the staff adhered to the Do Not Disturb sign on my door and left me alone for my 2 night stay so I could catch up on my severe lack of sleep. I would have liked to use the spa/pool/tiny gym more but it didn’t open until 11am and closed at 10pm.

Mini bar lacks wine and spirits, but there is a bar, possibly accessed via room service. Breakfast was adequate, but breakfast room is beautiful. Lovely quiet neighborhood, subway within 5 minutes walking distance. Couldn't find a breakfast cafe open by the time I reached the subway entrance, so I looked further afield. Nevertheless, the room was beautiful and comfortable, with great view of Atatürk's mausoleum. Would much rather stay in a hotel with character than something too standard, modern, and expensive. All the hotel staff were amazingly helpful and kind, especially all the bellboys and the front desk staff, including Sarp.

Hotel was excellant. Clean tidy modern. Lovely room with clean spacious bathroom. We were on 7th floor and wifi bit slow that high, but took nothing away from the overall experiance. Price was superb, and great value.

My husband and I are enjoying the hotel facilities from hamam, massage, sauna & hotel lounge. We are satisfied with our stay and we extended for 4 days more. Great facility for the handicap like me with a great value! Highly recommended

We reserved two nights because we was from long way and was need come at early morning, so we reserves 2 nights that can come in hotel and go rest without waiting when room will be ready. We pay for 2 nights 11-13 May and come 12 May at 9.00am, at this moment room was not ready and i was need wait 2 hours after 3 days in bus trip! When my room was must be ready one day before!

Staff are great. The doormen are always willing and eager to help. Breakfast is good although their coffee machine needs replacing. I have stayed here a number of times now and I'm happy to stay again. As a matter of fact I'm staying in the hotel again while I write this review for the last journey. Convenient location and parking is provided by the doorman. I like it.

Why do people complain for nothing . Seriously , the place is cheaper than a 3 star hotel . I guess people forget that when they’re slamming it because it’s not the Hilton ... go pay 20 times the price . The air con didn’t work well and they came to fix it . The check in and out was good and the areas were well kept . I didn’t use the sauna but I’m sure it would have been good as the rest . It was excellent value for money

It was a pleasure to stay in Hotel Ickale. Very close to Kizilay square, Anitkabir and city center. Very friendly staff. Special thanks to Mrs Yasemin for her kind welcome and great hospitality.
