Room was clean but there was a mark on the bedding which wasn't too savoury.
We were given the disability room for some reason and that meant that the bathroom sink/mirror were low amongst other things. If we had stayed another night we would have asked to be moved as the hotel wasn't full. The staff were very nice as was the breakfast.

Fantastic staff ALL so friendly.
Rooms were spacious and clean.
We got the package deal that included dinner and breakfast. Dinner was great and happy with options available. Breakfast plenty to choose from. Can't fault anything.
We used the facilities onsite gym and pool. Incredible gym, well kitted out with decent equipment. Pool was great. Stream room and sauna were good size, didnt feel cramped when other people in.
Overall great overnight stay. Would definitely stay again

Rooms were lovely, cleaned every day. Breakfast both hot and cold had plenty of choice. Staff were really lovely and helpful. We unfortunately lost our dog on the first night there and the girl on reception was really kind. Then the days after they were always asking how we were. This is our go too hotel in Corby.

On arrival I realised I had booked the wrong room. The reception staff were most helpful and resolved the situation very quickly.
A very enjoyable stay with excellent breakfast and bar facilities. I stay here quite frrequently during the summer (to visit Fermyn Wood nearby) and have always had a comfortable and issue free stay.

There was nothing on the Expedia website to say that the pool was being refurbished which was the reason I booked the hotel for my grandson to swim. The hotel iformed me that they had it on their own website and acebook page however as I booked through Expedia there was nothing to inform me.

Leisure facilities?.. Not in the holidays!

Hotel generally fine, though we had a couple of negatives.
1- we chose the hotel in large part to make use of spa facilities, only to find that restricted hours in the holiday season meant this was not useable for us.
2- our room was part of an adjoining pair. At night a very loud couple of young men opened their adjoining door and continued being noisy. Thankfully, when I opened our door and asked them nicely if they could keep it down a bit, they did.

Fair 3* but a little tired

The hotel feels a bit dated but fine for a few fictional nights.

Our stay was disrupted by another set of guests deciding to party at 1am. The staff were effective at getting them to quieten down eventually but thin walls and doors mean you hear all noises on the corridor.

Gym looked very good if that's your thing.

Mixed feelings about stay

Stayed to attend on site wedding of my brother. The wedding day was fantastic. Staff were excellent. During our stay all staff gave exceptional service. Laura on reception gets a special mention. Room too warm . Air conditioning not good. Couldnt get a fan until next day. Room details said satellite channels . However it was explained to us our room couldn't access the channels. Bedding and pillows need upgrading. Shower was excellent.

Had overnight stay last night (Saturday) hotel was full with 2 weddings going on. Arrived quite late in the day and realised the noise under our window was in fact wedding party guests. Wasn’t able to move room as hotel full and too late to then leave for home, was offered ear plugs!! Was advised music would stop by midnight which it did, followed by a lot of Thankyous and goodbyes. Finally got off to sleep about 1am!
We could have stayed at travel lodge £60 cheaper but reviews said it could be noisy, so decided on Holiday Inn as we knew we would be tired and needing early night before driving again following day.
On leaving reception advised there are weddings most weekends so our advice would be check first or go to travel lodge and save your money.

Pleasantly surprised, worth a stay

We stayed here as it was local to our wedding and it was amazing. We booked it just expecting to be a basic hotel just for a bed to come back to at the end of the night, but were happy with the entire process. It was easy, all the staff were hardworking and welcoming, and made everything straightforward. The hotel is lovely and clean, with great amenities, a pool, spa and bar. Breakfast is very well priced for all you can eat cooked and continental and the rooms are clean and comfy. My suite has plenty of space for all party guests to have room to get ready, just amazing start to finish and would definitely recommend and stay again.

Many thanks to Storm on reception who actually went to see and check with housekeeping that the room was ready so we could check in slightly earlier

This was in contrast to the larger older receptionist with long black hair who couldn’t be bothered to check and just reaffirmed that check in was 3 pm

In a standard chain such as this hotel the staff are who makes the difference so a big thank you to Storm

From the very start with the welcome from the receptionist. To the helpfulness from staff. Room was excellant and very roomy, clean bedding everyday. Breakfast was great from the choice of hot or cold. Hotel was spotless. A small fridge would have been ideal as drinks were warm in room.
Our dog was made a fuss of which she loved. It was the best holiday stay we've had.

The room was spacious and fairly cool with a smart en-suite shower room. It was convenient as I was attending a wedding reception there, however, the following day gave up trying to have an early night as there was no escaping the music until 11.30ish. It was disappointing to find out there was a charge of £10 per pet per night and breakfast had not been included, even though I had booked it with this. With so much luggage, it was disappointing that the lift was out of order too. However, the place is great and the staff are friendly and you can benefit from free use of the spa while staying, so definitely recommend a visit.

Service in restaurant was very slow, had to go to reception to get another member of staff to seat us. Food was fantastic.

Stayed here many times beds feel dated and soft pancakes for pillows ( requested firm ones that got ignored this make it difficult sleeping . Fridge in suite and exec rooms is full size. Really need to refurb that lift looks awful with tired carpet on the walls . . Brand new great tv in the room sadly lacking in channels only terrestrial / freeview offered . Advertised in house tv channels do not exist tv are rigged so you cannot connect them to your Amazon stick via the net breakfasts are great. Staff very pleasant especially Annette .Overall the hotel at rack rate is overpriced and one gets the feeling they’re are busy with contracts from local businesses in bulk accommodation and insurance claims .

Well checked in to be told breakfast isn’t included in the rate when he Expedia receipt says it is.

It’s 01:15 - looks like the hotel might have now broke up the party going on below/next door ( I don’t know), there is no sound proofing in this hotel - we have a fire door right by our room door (208) and I can hear next doors toilet flush.

Thankfully my 10 year old is now asleep (finally) so the rumble of passing lorries is a nice respite for me.

it’s probably no wonder they are losing their business to premier inn

Hotel looks rather forlorn from the outside but has been recently refurbished inside. Check in was quick and efficient.

Room was disappointing for a 4 star property. Minimalist furnishings, no chair other than a hard desk chair.

No toiletries in bathroom, but a bottle of half used hand soap on the wall in the shower.

Swimming pool was filthy with black mould all over the sides and very cloudy water with ‘bits’ visibly floating around.

Staff where polite and efficient. The rest of the property appeared clean.

It was better than I expected as we do not like large chain hotels.
Staff were friendly enough and fairly helpful but we kept on having to ask for the water jug to be refilled even though it was obvious 1 jug was not enough to give everyone at the table a glass of water.
There was no hot chocolate at breakfast and had to ask for the yogurts to be put out one morning.
Beer as expected - all mass produced from the big breweries - even the bottles so no good British real ale in a bottle.
During covid I would expect the bedroom to be better cleaned we found a couple of peanuts on the floor and we did not have any!!
Our shower did not drain away and flooded our bathroom and even though I told the front desk at 8 am and they said it would be fixed it was exactly as we had left it with sodden towels we had used to mop up still there when we returned in the evening. Told reception again but by then no maintenance staff available so we had to flood the bathroom again.
Air conditioning did not cool the air much - needed recharged as is usual in most hotels.
No sign of trying to be eco friendly.

Friendly staff. Helpful. Nice pool area. Stayed in a suite (grandly called the \"Dingley Suite\"). But, was it a suite, or just a big-ish empty room? It was certainly a nice size, but single room with en-suite shower room (no bath). One small sofa weirdly placed nowhere near TV - when I moved the sofa so I could sit and watch the TV, I realised it was placed to cover a huge stain on the carpet. One small desk and chair. Coffee table but no chairs, no other furniture. Looked very bare, like someone had taken the rest of the furniture. Big TV - but no HD signal so the picture looked awful (it's 2021, no HD?). Instant coffee, only water in mini-bar. OK, but no prizes.

I have always stayed here before covid and during covid but during this lockdown I am absolutely shocked with the cleanliness of the hotel. When I checked in there were bags of rubbish in the hallway outside the rooms along with trays of plates from room service. When I checked out in the morning the bags of rubbish were still in the hallway along with the trays from room service. The other guests were extremely noisy throughout the night. I have never had such a negative experience at this hotel and for the price paid I am extremely disappointed. Found it quite disgusting to be honest.

Great value and lovely rooms.

Fantastic room - really large with a 6’0 comfortable bed, sofa bed and love seat. Shower was a bit disappointing as it’s not a power shower but it’s acceptable enough.
Awesome coffee machine in the room with choice of coffees. There’s a fridge in the room with complimentary water and milk.
Dinner in the restaurant was lovely. Huge portions so be aware!! It’s not the cheapest place to eat but we didn’t want to venture out in the torrential rain again!!
Breakfast was ok - choice of continental and cooked. Sadly it’s a typical hotel ‘hot bar’ where actually nothing’s really never that hot! That aside we enjoyed our stay and would definitely use again.

The double executive rooms were lovely really comfortable,clean,stunning finished bathroom and nice facilities,food on the whole was good breakfast Little issues with how hot on first day but when pointed out addressed by manager on duty who was lovely and professional staff at this hotel are young maybe beneficial to add one or two more experienced mature faces in reception and bar areas and when serving for a wedding needs to be better coordinations between table servers and planner servers need to serve one table at a time all at once but evening buffet was stunning Thankyou a lovely weekend

The hotel service was good overall by certain staff.
The hotel consider themselves as a events venue hotel but don’t tell you this.
On both nights of the weekend they had two events causing unreasonable levels of music to be heard in the room. This lasted past 0001 and then had the fall out of people staying trying rooms and making noise while trying to find their room until way past 0100.
The reception offered ear plugs as an option and explained that they are a events venue hotel and could do no more to assist.
Hotels.com complaints dept are good. The holidayinn offered £26.22 as compensation which I find an insult more than a token of apology.
As a business and social user of previously IHG and holiday inn they will no longer be on the list for national staff to use.

The hotel was very good the problem was when we booked in there was no reservation showing so either you or the hotel had the problem. Luckily they gave us a room at the same price.also they held money on my card even though i showed them your email to me showing i had paid you!!! Was i charged twice for this room??? Can you check and let me know if i have and if so sort it out please.
