This was my second trip visiting Corby from the US, and returning to the Hamptom by Hilton in Corby Kettering was very comforting, memorable and pleasant. I saw some familiar faces, and new ones as well, who were kind, helpful and very professional. The rooms were clean, the kitchen/dining area very clean and the morning staff (breakfast) warm, accomodating and great in performing their duties. I look forward to a third stay in the near future.

But I paid to have a good night sleep and the bed was awful. It creaked like n every movement. The mattress was dreadful. For that reason I won’t be staying there again. Obviously the management hasn’t caught on unlike the premier inn management that when working away. The night sleep is so important. Go and check the mattresses and replace them.

This site was just greenspace on the edge of an industrial estate when I grew up here and it seemed a little weird pulling into an area where I had my first driving lessons on a Saturday morning as it was all but deserted over the weekend. Not now, there's a busy looking pub literally staggering distance away, the ubiquitous Greggs, few other structures the purpose of which didn't register. Very quiet, all I can hear is doves cooing.

Staff friendly, nice to even have staff, last place I stayed was largely automated so only other humans were fellow guests.

Complimentary breakfast, none of this £15pppn extra nonsense and much better than any £15 rip off offerings. Lots of guys in work gear and German accents so probably popular with service/installation engineers working at operations on the industrial side.

One minor issue is the size of the car park. It didn't look to have much space when I checked in around 4pm, and was lucky to get the last one when I returned around 9pm after dining out. Does puzzle me as to why - in a era of expanding waistlines and growing obesity - are parking slots getting narrower? I'm not exactly Captain Lardy but even with sensibly/centrally parked cars, one needs to be like Stretch Armstrong or a contortionist to get in or out of the car without injury to self of damage to vehicle!

Situated next door to a Wetherspoon. Some of guests at hotel had obviously been there all afternoon and came back to hotel with 5 kids who they allowed to run amok all over the furniture, screaming like banshees. I suspect they were travellers. Staff did their best but parents took no responsibility. Staff apologised to others. Rooms were great. Really appreciated the blackout blinds. Comfy beds and breakfast at 6am. Bonus.

Hotel is modern hotel and was in a great location to stop over for the weekend to break our longer journey. Room was good size, bed comfy, everywhere was clean & tidy. Reception and housekeeping team were wonderful nothing was too much trouble….

Unfortunately Breakfast all be that it’s free sadly there is room for improvement as this was very limited if your vegetarian, vegan or on a limited diet. On this particular weekend they seemed to not have much left at 8.30am when breakfast was supposed to be available until 10am also they said they had ran out of certain items or no longer stocked them which I’d previously relied on in this brand of hotel as an option as I’m vegetarian with food allergies. I spoke to three members of staff regarding breakfast and it was only the last morning that I was listened to & an apology given.It was also explained they’d had some supply issues with one of the items I usually had for breakfast. I do still feel that the breakfast staff could have listened to me, helped more and resolved the situation better instead of dismissing me.

The stay at the hotel could have been excellent if it hadn’t of been let down by the breakfast. I do feel that if maybe staff members were more aware of just how much food was being put into “food to go” boxes by other guests as well as them also having a breakfast this might help with the fact that items had ran out.i would still stay at this hotel again if I needed.

Perfect weekend stay for swimmers.

We came to stay over as our son was swimming in a race at the nearby 50m pool. The early breakfast service was ideal and he was fully set for the day on that. The nearby places to eat were plentyful and the beds were comfy. We'll definitely stay again for future races.

Nice enough hotel - very clean and in good decorative order. Friendly and helpful reception staff.

Negatives: the bed / mattress was rock hard. The WiFi was dreadful. Planned a stay so that I’d have somewhere to work while on a business trip (planned to work in my hotel room) but the WiFi just wasn’t working. Had to leave and go to a nearby Starbucks.

Location isn’t great. Only a Wetherspoons and a Hungry Horse pub nearby for food. Nothing else in walking distance apart from fast food places.

A good hotel that just lacks attention to detail. Too few car parking spaces sees guests just abandoning vehicles in the area every night. The bar menu was barely available - no soup, no chicken, no burgers (no point). Staff try but aren't given the tools they need to work with.
