Excellently managed room, secondary glazing so absolutely no noises from the road.
Slept very well, but i do think a kingsize bed would fit in the room. It could be a slight squeeze, in the main, very comfortable. Shower room absolutely spotless.
Breakfast was super. Nicely cooked full english as well as cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc.., not too much on the plate but enough for a full day ahead.
Good selection of teas..
A real find as we enjoyed a christmas ball at Goodwood.
If we come over this way again, we would defintly book again!

Stayed at The Old Store guest house with my daughter for 2 nights. We loved everything about our stay. Spacious room in the eves, very clean, very comfortable bed, well appointed room, plenty room in the shower room to lay out your toiletries, good shower, lovely view over the countryside.
Loved the dining room with its big rustic style tables. We are happy to share a big table with others. Great breakfast, good home cooked food.
Our hosts were friendly and helpful. Chichester was an easy drive away and a delightful small city to visit. Would definitely return.

Quiet, lovely, convenient

We loved our stay here. The property is in a lovely quiet but convenient location. The rooms are well appointed and clean. There is a very helpful list of places to eat nearby. The breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. The owners were very welcoming. I can’t recommend this guest house enough.

We chose the old store because it's in a lovely area. Our host was friendl helpful and we had a very nice breakfast prepared by him.
The building itself is charming and characterful but unfortunately the interior and the budget furnishings did disappoint.

Grade 2 listed B&B in Chichester

A really great little grade 2 listed B&B. Hosts are very knowledgeable, warm and know their gursts. Breakfast is excellent with a good choice.
Well equipped rooms with a refeshment tray. Rooms are en-suite, supplied with toiletries. In a good area for walking can recommend the windmill trail and close to Goodwood.

We were there only one night, but everything was effortless. The communications were perfect, the owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, the room was beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. I can't say anything negative about the guesthouse.

Amy and Matt were fabulous hosts and the room was spotless, well appointed and cosy. Very close to Goodwood hotel and house, a short walk through the fields of just under a mile gets you a great dinner at Farmer, Butcher, Chef, as we did.
The breakfast at The Old Store is absolutely knockout!

Such a lovely quaint B&B . My husband stayed here the night before our wedding 12 years ago, we returned for a valentines treat and it did not disappoint. Beautifully renovated, clean and easy check in processes. Breakfast was lovely. Hosts were so welcoming and friendly. 100% recommend

Wow! Another one for our little book if fabulous places to stay. So close to Goodwood, which was the reason for our visit. Perfect bolt hole to relax and refresh ourselves after a day at the motor racing track. Clean. Fresh. Fabulous breakfast. 10 out of 10! Thank you.

My partner and Ibloved staying here! The Old Guest House is such a sweet property and the interiors are all really nicely decorated and neatly finished. We were so chuffed that a standing fan was included in the room, and equally impressed with how quiet it was - essential during the Summer.

The hosts are super helpful and supply a handy guide upon arrival. Its important to note that, they are also on-hand to help with queries before your visit too. To add to this, you can tell that the businesses in Halnaker really support each other and the small village definitely has that community feel!

Overall, we'd both happily stay here again, and highly recommend the tasty breakfasts and cosy beds!!

We had a great stay! Quiet and clean. Breakfast was great. The entire property was tastefully decorated and atmosphere was superb. Plenty of parking for the amount of guests. Easy check-in.
The only recommendation would be to ensure heating is on when the temperature outside is at single degrees... Did not have our heating on the second evening as we came back, so we were shivering for a few hours before the heating went on. Would have also preferred a quieter stay, though this is a little out of everyone's hands. Walls and floors are thin, we could hear every stomp through the night which kept us awake.

Beautiful old building set-up as a b&b guest house. Breakfast was really good with fresh produce.

This is not a hotel with hotel amenities, for anyone that is expecting that.

This guest house is superb. Perfect for Goodwood Races and surrounding area. Comfortable, clean and modern. Hosts very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble from restaurant recommendations to nearby country walks. Excellent stay and would definately recommend.

A must place to stay

Absolutely lovely place to stay, Matt and Amy are delightful, everything about our stay was perfect.
All the breakfast options excellent, rooms spacious and really good size bathrooms with large showers and excellent water pressure so great showers all the time!
There were small bottles of milk in the fridge in the breakfast room so you had fresh milk for your drinks in the room. Matt and Amy left out fruit all day and sliced cake in the afternoon such a lovely touch.
There is nothing negative to say about our stay at all. I won`t even be trying to stay anywhere else when in the area.

A Gem!

Old Store Guesthouse is just a perfect family-run guesthouse. Personal friendly service without being intrusive. Lots of lovely generous touches. (Good free teas, proper coffee, fruit). Nice smelling diffusers, Wonderful shower. Fabulous breakfast choices. Nice decor. Good quality without unnecessary extravagance. V good value.

We were made to feel immediately welcome with cake and tea after we were reassured about covid precautions in place. The room was nice. Very clean. The bed was comfortable. Shower good. Breakfast was lovely, properly cooked bacon. Lots of friendly advice about the local area. Ordered breakfast the night before over whats app. Very useful. Nice garden space outside
