Excellent stay, Tim and Helen made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. The room was well presented with lots of hospitality extras and the bed and pillows were super comfy. Although the breakfast is only a continental (which suited us perfectly) there was a fantastic choice with the addition of lovely homemade bread/toast. Not sure when, but we will definitely be going back there when we're in the area.

Fantastic B&B with great hosts.

Fantastic service from the owners, they made us feel very welcome upon arrival. The beds were super comfortable and that was coupled with a great view.
Lots of little details which added character to the room and gave it a homey feel such as small ornaments.
The breakfast was lovely, a large selection of cold meats, pastries etc even though it was only us staying. Only a 10 minute drive to Newtown so it has everything you need.

Stopping over due to a business meeting in Newtown. Which is about 5 minute drive.

The place is lovely and owners very accommodating and friendly.

Had one of the best nights sleep in a long time and would recommend staying here for sure.

Breakfast is between 7am-9am but we had to be on road for 7am and let us have it for 6:45am.

Beautiful place to stay

This was a really lovely place to stay. Felt like a hotel rather than a B&B. I was met on arrival and talked through everything which made for a really personal service. The breakfast was amazing and a fantastic stay all round. I would definitely book again and highly recommend.

Comfortable, quiet and relaxing

Stayed for a 7 night break in August. We were warmly welcomed and taken to our very comfortable cosy room with a beautiful view of neighbouring fields. The breakfasts here are the best we have ever experienced with such a great choice - we especially enjoyed the porridge and home made jam. Tim and Helen were great hosts - there are a number of changes in place due to covid but they did not impact negatively on the holiday. It was good to have the use of the comfortable lounge and outdoor seating area. We had the set 3 course dinner one evening, again cooked beautifully and with a delicious bottle of red wine. Located just a ten minute drive to Newtown in beautiful countryside for peace and quiet and relaxation can highly recommend.

Lovely nights stay in an old vicarage...

Stay was exactly as we expected from an old Vicarage... Lovely old building, lots of history and character and individually decorated rooms with their own unique charm. Rooms were nice and clean, without looking sterile, food was very enjoyable and I like that they used local or home grown/made food and drink and the owners where extremely pleasant and welcoming. Lovely views from both the front and rear of the property and enjoyed a relaxing drink in the garden post evening meal. Lovely stay and would definitely recommend a stay...

Staff and reception: Very welcoming and helpful. Facilities: Very comfortable bedroom, in which all the Guests needs had been considered - hair dryer, good lights, luxurious towels etc. Very comfortable and stylish reception and dining rooms. Breakfast: Outstanding, with wide choice of cereals, ham, very good cheeses and quince jelly, fruit, and imaginative second courses. [make sure you make sure if breakfast is included in your price]

Tim contacted me earlier in the day to confirm my approximate arrival and was on hand with a warm welcome when I arrived. Both the Vicarage and the views of the surrounding area are fantastic.
Although there are no restaurant facilities on-site, Tim pointed me in the direction of The Dolfor Inn, which was served a good selection of food at good prices.
My room was immaculate and had all the facilities required, and the bed extremely comfortable.
Breakfast in the morning was again excellent and I would highly recommend The Old Vicarage.

Great little urban B and B

This restful BnB is located in a small village near Newtown. We stayed in the king room with ensuite bathroom (with a bath) upstairs on the top floor. Both rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. Tea/coffee supplies are available in the room, and bathrobes are supplied. There is a guest lounge on the ground floor and outdoor tables and chairs if you want space to relax. Wifi is available in the bedrooms and lounge area. A continental buffet and excellent cooked breakfast of your choice are included, using several items they make themselves or from local suppliers (and you can purchase the jams, juice, chocolate etc as well). With 24 hours’ notice you can arrange a hot dinner at the Vicarage (or a cold plate on the night), otherwise we had huge meals at the Dolfor Inn a few minutes’ drive away. The Vicarage owners are friendly, helpful and efficient.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Old Vicarage Dolfor. The owners, Tim and Helen are lovely and warm. The location is beautiful and peaceful. Our room was relaxing and beautifully decorated with a wonderful shower and great view of the surrounding area. The food is out of this world! We highly recommend arranging a dinner prepared by Tim.
