We were delighted with this hotel. From check in to check out we received the best attention and service from every member of staff we encountered.
The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Zac gave us a garden view room which was away from the pool area and very peaceful and quiet.
The adult pool area was perfect. Overlooking the ocean and away from the main family pool it had waiter service from the restaurant bar and a lovely restaurant for lunch.
The pool guys were attentive, brining extra towels and cushions and positioning the umberllas for us throughout the day.
We also enjoyed the beach bar and restarant just across the path from the hotel.
Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff.

Location great, it's a 20 min walk along the prom to the village with decent places to eat.

Padel is £40 which is a tad excessive.
Housekeeping didn't come one day to be told they finish at 5pm and so managed to get towels and toilet roll from reception.....
Cold shower one night but we were late getting to the room, every other day was fine.
Pool area clean however on the last day lots of litter around the sun beds from the day before and towels not collected.

Definitely recommend for some spring sunshine and hotel much better than a Canaries option!

Food and drinks quite pricey in the hotel considering location but great quality.

Gym - used every day, no aircon and could do with some new kit but good enough.

Despite its premium pricing by Moroccan standards, this hotel fails to deliver a true five-star experience. Service is slow, inconsistent, and often inattentive, with management appearing overly focused on delegation rather than actively supporting operations. A more hands-on leadership approach is clearly needed.

The beach service was particularly poor, with staff rarely engaging guests and even displaying unprofessional behaviour during a heated staff dispute. The adults’ pool area also felt neglected, with disengaged lifeguards and little effort to manage sunbeds or maintain cleanliness.

Dining lacked consistency, from unclear service standards to disorganised breakfast operations, where guests were left confused and staff appeared idle. The ongoing issue of birds entering indoor dining areas further detracts from the experience. While food quality is generally good, prices are high compared to better local alternatives.

Water pricing is excessive, especially given prior communication suggesting it would be complimentary. In a hot climate, the lack of accessible free water feels particularly unreasonable.

Overall, while the property is visually impressive, service shortcomings significantly undermine the experience. With stronger leadership and clearer standards, the hotel has potential, but currently falls short of expectations.

Picture this: You're finally chilling by the pool in your swimsuit, soaking in the sea breeze listenign to the hotel music, when suddenly 75+ people from the meeting room swarm in - fully clothed, chain-smoking, guzzling booze, and yammering at ear-splitting volumes. What was a peaceful oasis turns into a toxic smog fest where you're the unwelcome intruder choking on their cigarette stench while they trash the vibe without a shred of self-awareness.

Great job Hyatt - milking extra cash from these the meeting/events crowd and their F&B tabs, all at the expense of actual paying guests who came for tranquility, not your revenue-boosting circus. It ruined my stay.

Beautiful luxury hotel beside Tagazhoute beach

We swapped from the Hyatt up the hill as we wanted to be able to walk to the beach - this hadn’t been clear in the online marketing info. Our first room on the garden side was very noisy - as the seal around the sliding windows was faulty. This caused us to have two very disturbed nights sleep. Fortunately, with the help of Ayoub on reception, they were able to move us on the Tuesday to the opposite side near the tennis courts, after which we had a much more enjoyable holiday. We then stayed for a further 4 nights, enjoying the delights of both the hotel and Tagazhoute village and beach. Maha on reception was also most helpful.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Taghazout from April 16 to 23 for a family vacation. The resort has a beautiful setting, great room comfort, appealing architecture, and a prime beachfront location. We enjoyed the amenities, especially Pilates sessions with Suliman. Room cleaning was also good.

Unfortunately, the experience was undermined by poor service and hygiene concerns. The check-in was chaotic, with no updates or welcome information, leaving us frustrated. Most staff struggled with communication and appeared poorly trained.

The towel and sunbed management at the pool was disorganized, with us being wrongly accused of hoarding towels. The heated pool was cold, and the sides were slippery, creating a safety hazard.

The buffet was inconsistent, and hygiene was questionable. Four of our group fell ill, and we overheard other guests with similar complaints. The live food stands were a good idea, but the staff was too slow, making the experience frustrating. Also, no kids' food section in the buffet, which is unusual for a family-friendly hotel.

The kids' activity with inflatables was fun, but it lasted only an hour instead of the promised three hours.

Overall, the service level is far below what you'd expect from a five-star hotel. Management needs to address these issues urgently.

Great hotel. 15 min walk to Taghazout. Clean place. Great breakfast and the Club lounge access well worth it for all day snacks and a 2 hour happy hour in the evening. Beach area is more chilled out than the pool area. The pool is too busy with screaming kids. Shame there wasn’t some sort of free board hire or bike hire but we made do with the hire available on the beach. Overall a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Regency Taghazout. we stayed in a Regency Club Room and we treated to a fantastic suite with great service for breakfast and evening drinks and canapes in the club lounge.
The room was kept spotless and had aside sea view.
The service from Said the head Butler, Mohomed, Abderarim & Youssef was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble for these guys who always had a smile on their faces, a credit to Hyatt.
There was a promenade right in front of the hotel that was approximately 10km long taking you Tagahzout one end to the marina at the other. We felt very safe and the locals were friendly and not pushy.
The beach was pristine, lots of surfers, camel and horse rides were available on the beach too.
There are many other hotels along the strip to visit too lots of choices for different restaurants.

Charming hotel with room for improvement

We recently stayed at this small, charming hotel, and while there were plenty of positive aspects, there were also a few setbacks that impacted our experience.

First, the positives: The hotel's size is a major plus. It's not overly large, so you don't feel lost in the chaos of mass tourism. Its proximity to the beach is great, making it easy to enjoy the ocean whenever you want. The staff is warm, welcoming, and very friendly – they truly make you feel at home. The food was tasty and well-prepared, although the selection was somewhat limited.

However, our experience was impacted by a few negative moments, particularly at check-in. We had to wait past the designated check-in time to get our room, only to be told we were \"upgraded\" – but the room we received had two separate beds instead of the king bed we had booked. Additionally, the sofa bed for our children wasn’t prepared, and to top it off, we discovered a trail of ants in the room the following day, some of which even ended up in my bag.

The staff tried to make up for this with a late checkout, which was a nice gesture, but the initial experience left a sour note.

Another frustrating issue was the airport transfer. I had booked a cab through the hotel, but after waiting for ten minutes, it became clear that the reservation hadn't been made. The receptionist quickly arranged a last-minute cab, but unfortunately, the driver was reckless, making the ride to the airport quite stressful.

Exceptional Stay at Hyatt Hotel in Taghazout

Our experience at the Hyatt Hotel in Taghazout was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcomed with their genuine friendliness and exceptional helpfulness. They went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect.

The food options were outstanding, catering to every taste with a fantastic variety of fresh, delicious dishes. Dining here was truly a highlight of our visit!

One minor note is that the walking distance to some popular locations is a bit far. However, this was hardly a concern because the hotel itself is so wonderful, and the team there makes you feel so pampered that you won’t even want to leave!

If you’re looking for a place to relax, recharge, and be treated to top-notch service, the Hyatt Taghazout is an absolute gem. Highly recommended!

Poor customer service from the start, I had members of staff enter the room without my consent, mid-leading information, gave us a disabled room, which I didn’t request and was blacklisted from upgrading the room, or anything as sort. . Overall, our stay was enjoyable, with excellent breakfast options and friendly, attentive restaurant and cleaning staff who were particularly great with the kids. However, there were a few issues that fell short of five-star service.

First, we arrived at 3 pm, but our room was not ready. A simple apology was given, but we were surprised there was no compensation or even a complimentary drink or snack, especially considering the premium we paid.

Additionally, the pool area was understocked with towels, requiring us to ask the lifeguards, who seemed reluctant to provide enough for our family of four. There was also an issue with the child pool. I was supervising my son, who requires one-to-one support due to health conditions, but was told by the lifeguard that the pool was for children only. Given the circumstances and that the pool was empty, this policy felt unnecessarily strict.

Despite these issues, the overall experience was positive thanks to the quality of the breakfast and the welcoming attitude of the staff in the restaurants and housekeeping. With a few improvements in service responsiveness and flexibility, this stay could easily meet five-star expectations.

Just doesn’t feel like 5 stars

Hotel feels like it may have got its 5 stars by ticking a few boxes - eg kids club, spa, gym, concierge etc. The service is not what you expect from a 5 star hotel at all.

Negatives:
We were told we got upgraded and were presented with a ‘sunset view’ which was in fact a view of the staff car park and a partial bay view.
Family of 4 - Small sofa bed, definitely not suitable for older kids over 12 yrs
They had not provided pillows for the sofa bed, so we had to ask.
Only one chair on the balcony - not suitable for a family!
Pool towel service very slow and you can’t just grab a towel… they seem to be in short supply and they have to go and get them for you weirdly.
Only one buffet restaurant on the main site catering for the masses.
The service at the hotel’s Sud beach restaurant is slow and patchy… they got drinks orders wrong several times. Expensive bill for what you get.
Design of the hotel makes it feel busy as there is only really one main area with loungers and 2 pools.
They organised horse riding for us which was not good at all - my daughter who is an experienced rider was in tears because they gave her a young horse who got out of control and almost bucked her off.
Breakfast service is sloppy when it’s busy - tables are not set properly, missing napkins and cutlery, tables are not cleared.
Orange juice is served out of just one slow pouring dispenser - creating queues.

One of the best hotels ive stayed at, the staff are super friendly, they are attentive. The hotel has all the luxuries, the swimming pools, thr breakfast and resturants are high quality and very reasonably priced. Check out the beach resturant Sud which does amazing food.

The staff were friendly, and the room was beyond comfortable and clean, thanks to the housekeeper Latifa.
Starting with the Check-in, and ending with the checkout the staff was very friendly and courteous through our stay. We’ve dined at main restaurant, for both breakfast and dinner, we tried the pool side dining with our family and we ordered room service three times, and the third time they made my son his favourite pizza passed the pizza menu hours, so thank you.
Thanks for the GM also for stopping by and making sure our stay was enjoyable.

No service at the pool , the Ocean view rooms are partial ocean view not a full ocean view.But the rooms are OK. This is a beautiful hotel, everything feels brand new. The food was excellent, and breakfast was wonderful. The beach in front of the hotel is large and the beach club is wonderful. We had a great stay, but the service is a little slow and strange, they seem to be very short-staffed. They have a beautiful beach bar but do not stock any drinks, so the waiters have to run to the restaurant to get anything you order. We had a great stay and would return but I think the management needs to think about how to be more efficient, everything seems to ages from check in to ordering lunch.

Beautiful location, animated team!

Highlights were the service and friendliness of the staff, especially the fantastic Animation Team (Eva, Amin & Sulaiman) who led sunset yoga, spin and running. The hotel is a great place to relax and have some activities at your own pace. Restaurant staff at breakfast and housekeeping also excellent.
Rooms are great, large and nice design.
Location is beautiful on the beach, not far to walk to Taghazout for a local experience.
Everything was great, until we came to leave and we had an unhappy interaction with the management team which really upset us. Hopefully a one off, but more proper support at check out would have prevented this.

For a small resort, it was quite nice. The pool and grounds were well laid out. It was difficult to find a spot at the pool. Too many people lay things out early and spots filled up. Room was spacious. We did have small ants at our sliding glass door on first floor that made their way into the room. Decor of the room was inviting, and up to date. They seemed very short staffed in during the busiest times at breakfast and dinner during buffets. Not enough wait staff when ordering drinks or needing assistance.

Le petit-déjeuner mérite une mention spéciale : buffet généreux, varié, de qualité, servi dans un cadre magnifique. Un vrai moment de plaisir chaque matin.

Mais ce qui fait vraiment la différence ici, c'est l'équipe. Le service est chaleureux, attentionné et professionnel du début à la fin.

C’était notre 3ème fois dans cet hôtel et nous sommes toujours heureux d’y séjourner. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est excellent et très varié, la piscine chauffée est agréable les jours où les températures sont douces et l’hôtel est très bien entretenu.

Merci à Khadija pour le ménage dans notre chambre, au personnel de l’accueil toujours disponible pour nous apporter des renseignements ainsi qu’au personnel du kids club (Meriem, Aya et Fati) qui sont aux petits soins avec nos enfants.
