The location is excellent. The place is hard to find, with only a small sign at the shoulder level, and no street numbers. If your Google map misses the right location, good luck.
The hotel occupies the second floor in what was likely an apartment or an office. The space was extensively renovated, perhaps with some overkill. The shower is a few steps above the floor in the bathroom, with slippery marble floor and plenty of sharp angles. You can enjoy sound-and-light in a jacuzzi, though.
The staff was very friendly and responsive. Don't forget to let them know when you arrive, to let you in.

I booked 3 rooms for 5 people for 1 night. The instruction says you must call or message Mecla Suites before arriving so someone can be there to check you in since it’s not a hotel. I messaged them and called them a few times and no answer. So stressful!!! Luckily someone was at the front desk when we checked in at 12pm. One room smelled like cigarettes, another room’s AC was not working and the 3rd room’s toilet flusher didn’t have a plate cover. Glad we only stayed 1 night.

Enjoyed our stay , close to via Toledo and shooing . Walking distance to mist historical areas . Brought breakfast to room . Only complaint is that there was no one on site, phone in room didn’t work and wifi wasn’t reliable😔 also picture on advertisement doesn’t reflect where you stay . It isn’t a hotel. It’s suites in an apartment. Very clean property and very quiet

Great little suite central to downtown attractions & shopping . We were able to go alot of site seeing by foot. Nice breakfast was included and brought to room. There however is no one on premises , so at times was difficult to get ahold of someone if needed anything. Picture on Expedia doesn’t properly reflect outside of hotel.

We had added a 2 night stay to our Rome trip so that we could take a ferry to see the island of Capri and Sorrento. When we arrived a gentleman was waiting for us at the entrance on the street as the hotel is on the 2nd floor. Just a large wooden door at the street entrance. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised when we walked into an extremely clean and updated property on 2nd floor. We had a very restful stay as the room was quiet, the icing on the cake was breakfast brought to your room. Location was GREAT to the port, many restaurants and we explored around the nearby area. Many things to see. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Staff was opening and friendly.

The room was clean and quiet. I was amazed by how high tech it was-everything was electronic. (To turn on the lights anywhere needed your palm) the water was hot, but I think they needed a better toilet paper holder.

No one spoke English, and unfortunately, my husband and I speak almost no Italian. The gentleman at the front desk used an app which worked well enough for check in, but not enough for us to feel confident asking questions on how we should get to Pompeii, dinner recs, etc.

Breakfast included watery coffee, or and some yummy pastries.

I loved using the hobbit door in the main doorway to get in the building, even though we had to haul our luggage over the lip of the door. The elevator was useful after all of our walking. We weren’t far from the water, lots of restaurants and shopping.

My husband and I found this property very unique and enjoyed our stay. I’m glad I read the reviews before hand and also called the property itself the day prior to confirm the time of checking in just due to the slight language barrier and also the location itself.. the reviews helped us be prepared for the slight language barrier and helped us find our location more easily- we found it actually a smooth process once we did a little research on the location and they were able to speak well enough English to confirm what we needed. It’s in a very unique building, you have to pay attention to the signs once your in the building.. it’s sort of in a tucked away area within a building of other suites/apartments…as long as you read the sign and follow you will be greeted with a smile and check in was very smooth. They bring you breakfast in the morning at the time you request and also offered slippers for the room! It’s like staying in a New York small apartment style building but had lots of storage areas still with a small fridge and everything you need. You just have to be open minded with the size/layout of room knowing you’re there for a memorable experience with lots of walkable dining and shopping in the area not for the size of room. Felt very clean, safe and enjoyed our 1 night stay! Thank you.

Very good location. Close to almost everything needed. Facilities well equipped, decorated. Staffs very friendly. Although whom I have met don’t speak much English but they are all very helpful to make sure I have understood what they wanted to tell me and their answers to my questions (I don’t know any Italian language except a few greeting words which are useless in question and answer) by other means such as writing, hand gestures or voice translation. I did not feel anything communication issue in entire stay. We got our breakfast in our room on time every day on time, which was better than we expected. Definitely will want to stay again if I have a chance.

The Good: Very clean, friendly staff, nicely appointed rooms.
The Bad: Hard to find from the street (no signs), front desk rarely staffed, and little English spoken.
The Ugly: We reserved 2 identical suites. When we arrived, they didn't have them and wanted to put one of us in a smaller room. After some back and forth they gave us what we had reserved but we had to move to the smaller room for the last night there. Worse still, there was poor communication so after we had left for the morning they moved all of our stuff on our behalf. They refused to refund the cost difference and Orbitz has been no help.

Our room (Plebiscito) was clean, comfortable, and modern. The bathroom was spacious and had a huge jet tub. Staff was accommodating but spoke little to no English. The hotel is on the second floor with the smallest elevator I have ever seen. It took a couple of elevator cycles to get us and out luggage to and from our room.

Property was great and in a great location. Walkable to the waterfront and sights within Naples. Parking was a bit far and once we were in the lot we didn’t want to take the car out of the lot. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, very clean and comfortable. Check-in was a bit rough as there was a language barrier, but the lovely man that checked us in used google translate and we got through it. Breakfast was served every day, pastries and coffee. Everything was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

Superb rooms that have style over substance. The receptionist was very helpful with booking in, and arranged a taxi for the following day. The room had a great shower and kettle in the room. However only one classic T bag, and reception was unmanned from lunchtime(Sun). The room also had a safe, locked but the combination was known, but nowhere to speak to anyone to help. Hotel boasted sound proofing, however that needs to be reviewed. Our room backed onto reception, where we heard the water heater go on several times in the night.
A reasonable stay the bed was comfortable, hairdryer did not work. Breakfast was served in the room, which consisted of 3 pastries and coffee and fruit drink. Being a T drinker I was not impressed. Overall a reasonable stay, but would not return.

overall, we enjoyed our stay at Mecla Suites in Naples, with the exception of no hot water for 3 mornings in a row. we informed the staff, who said they would request maintenance, but each morning was the same, no hot water. There was hot water in the afternoon. For this reason, we are rating the property as disappointing and would request Mecla Suites provide some refund to what we paid.

Despite the fact that I did not see you were supposed to contact the owner to set a check in time at least 24 hours before arrival. he met us there and was so kind and generous. When we first arrived we were confused as the front does not look like a hotel but rather a car garage or apartment entryway. You then go up to the second floor and the door opens to the beautiful hotel. It wonderfully decorated and the beds were so comfortable. The bathrooms were just like the pictures, spacious and very nice. There was a lot of space in the rooms as well and the windows are tall and open to the alleys. It is a great area to stay in with beautiful monuments and delicious restaurants and treats.

The staff really make this place! They were so kind and so accommodating. We have two celiacs in the family and the first day they had a lot of gluten-free options for breakfast for us. The location is unbeatable! Make sure you get a room with street view as you'll have a nice view of the ocean and mount vesuvius in the distance. Highly recommend this place!

The boutique suites were fantastic; very modern and ultra clean. Perfect for a city break. In the heart of the shopping district and stone throw away from the marina and promenade.

Hotel has been renovated recently inside and the decor is very good - if somewhat too white. A couple of things need to be improved on to match the revamp. One, the Wi-fi was not working in our room. Two, they have performed the place and the smell is enough to make your eyes water. And, three, the staff need to dress as if they are actually work in a smart hotel. They are all walking around as if they just got out of bed and put the first clothes on they could find. Smart casual guys - it would make all the difference. One more thing, then bar fridge was well-stocked but no price list. Otherwise, the place just needs a cherry to be really good.
