The staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel put me in a smoking room, as they were fully booked. Even though i had requested non-smoking. This was one of the most disgusting stays in years. I could not sleep. The stink was unbearable. Furniture, bedding, pillows, mattress, carpets, curtains, everything on that whole floor had an accumulation of decades of smoke.

The room was so nasty, that when i returned home, i could still smell the smoke in my clothes when i unpacked.

Finally the last night they changed me to a non-smoking room. Will not stay again if they do not guarantee non smoking requests.

Perfect location as it’s surrounded by restaurants and shopping center. It’s walking distance to light rail station and we also loved the amazing customer service. Breakfast buffet was also delicious with different selections everyday. One thing that can be improved is the number of outlet and locations in the bedroom. We couldn’t find any right next to our bed which would’ve been more convenient.

It was a pleasant stay. Room is clean and comfy. The Christmas decorations are nice too! Love the Japanese foods at Aoki restaurant. In fact, I stayed at this hotel almost 6 years ago and it is still quite well maintained.

The hotel is actually nice and close to major attractions. The deluxe room is unfortunately small and the same goes with the bed. There is visible blood stain on the bed which is very disturbing. The amenities provided for Expedia’s VIP Access and Gold member is disappointing as well.

Beautiful hotel on a quiet street. Friendly service. Easy to access for Grab cars and bikes. Not far from stores selling batik clothing. Right next to money exchange. Small park down the street. A small night market outside after 7:00 p.m. for eating. Yummy breakfast included.

Charismatic hotel with great staff

Great food for both breakfast and dinner. Though very few vegetarian options if that's what you're seeking.
Room design has been kept deliberately \"charismatic\" / old. Sometimes a bit frustrating when trying to find light switches etc.
Staff are very prompt and helpful and friendly.

Hotel is a little different to norm with an 'old feel' rooms are all a little different but well appointed although the bathrooms bu todays standards a little small and no separate showe.

Close by are a number of good restaurants (Ate at Koi next door a couple of times. With a shoppong centre Block M also close by.

Fitness center and pool also small with minimal equipment but all worked fine

Overall my stay at Gran Mahakam is a pleasant one; service staff, food. But the hotel rooms need refurbishment. Another to note, if you are a light sleeper, ask for room not facing the roads as it can be a little noisy. Accessible to Senayan area via cab.

We love this hotel. The service is great, the rooms are clean and well maintained. The food menu lacks a bit, but overall, we love this hotel and would stay here time and time again. The gym is pristine with new and well maintained equipment and the rooftop pool is lovely!

Nice hotel in south Jakarta

Although Expedia advertised Hotel Gran Mahakam as a +VIP Gold access Hotel, there is no upgrade of anything upon check-in. During the check-in process I mentioned my Expedia status & inquired about the upgrades & saw the hotel clerk looking up in the system & she politely asked me to wait. She later called the manager & relayed the message that there is no room available for the upgrade. I immediately looked up my mobile app to verify & on the contrary, there were Club Suite Room, Executive Suite, Junior Suite & Deluxe Suite - all available for the same day!! She simply smiled back & I understand she couldn't challenge her boss' instruction. Expedia, if you're reading this, I suggest you remove the +VIP status from this hotel.

Great hotel! They were helpful. I had perishables that wouldn't fit in the small fridge and they kindly kept them for me in the house freezer until my flight. It took us a while to get a porter for our luggage upon checkout... We had to ask 3 times but they were probably backed up from multiple checkouts.

The food was excellent. The staff that we talked to in person were really good. Gerng the front desk to return a call didn't happen. Has to talk directly to the manager to get service. The bathroom was full of mold, the room was filthy and was not ready at check in time. The view from the pool was cool. Would not stay again overpriced and over rated.

I got easter brunch voucher in my room at the 2nd day of stay and with \"confidence\", I used this voucher for breakfast with my friend. However, the staff told me that this voucher can only use for LUNCH not BRUNCH:-(. Next time, the voucher supposed to be printed EASTER LUNCH NOT EASTER BRUNCH or may be the hotel think that 12PM to 3PM is BRUNCH time...lol...

Old and in desperate need of room renovation

staff very friendly and helpful; however, my room was old, smelly (damp) and had a lot of mold in the bathroom. the lobby has been renovated so when you first walk into the hotel, it looks nice. Internet was unreliable and if you wanted wifi in your room, you had to get the equipment from the front desk. car hire was pricey too. breakfast buffet was nice.

In general the hotel is actually quite a charming suedo colonial structure with decent rooms, restaurants and facilities. However I found the standard delux room too small so I upgraded myself to the next level which seemed nice enough. The problems started there. Since I was there for only one night and busy all day, I got back late at night and found the air conditioning far too cold with no possibility of adjustment. I turned it off and went to sleep but woke up at 2am with a horrible headache. I was being suffocated by fumes of fresh paint and thinner. I should have complained but did not as I was too sleepy. When I woke up next morning I had a blinding headache which persists after 4 days which is today. I will have to visit my doctor and discuss the issue.

Secondly after I upgraded my room the cost was as expensive as any other five star hotel in Jakarta with a corporate discount. The staff at the reception were not very caring but the staff at the restaurant were quite nice.

Room at the top in Jakarta - few disappointments

After nine nights at the Mahakam we left as happy guests; we have just a few recommendations.
That awful noise of a generator droning day and night on the back of the building steals precious time of relaxation and sleep.
Please rethink the ultra-modern design of the suites: a bathroom without door, so that your partner participates in the privacy of your body's necessities - no, no.
A cupboard with only two hangers, that is too spartanic.
But, all in all, we would come back and choose our room diligently. Yes, Mahakam, you are nearly perfect.

I found this hotel very good, and the service provided by the staff was excellent. The New Year Party held by the hotel was superb. It was the best New Year I have had in a hotel. This small hotel is very cozy.

This small hotel is very cozy. The room is in good size. Everything in the room is very good, though I think the hotel can provide other type of pillows for guest to chose from. The 100% down feather pillow is comfortable but may not be comfortable for all guest. Maybe I'm simply too used to my contour pillow.

The hotel's pool is so tiny, which is more like a dipping pool rather than as a swimming pool. The gym though is in good size. The breakfast selection was not bad, but the food quality may need some improvement.

This hotel located at South Jakarta near Block M shopping area. Other than this, there's nothing much around the hotel. The hotel is having renovation at the cafe, though it doesn't posed much noise and inconvenient to guest.

Overall I don't mind to return as a guest if I ever visit Jakarta again!

ジャカルタ滞在時は基本このホテルに滞在。（月1回程度）ローケーション（MRT駅まで徒歩5分　近くに飲食店やお店多数）やホテルスタッフの対応も良い。
また5つ星ホテルの中ではリーゾナブルな価格。
ある程度頻繁にジャカルタへ滞在される方にはお勧め。

オートバイの騒音だけが残念でした。

出張で３泊しました。ホテルの施設、部屋の広さ、応対等のサービスは優れていて全く問題ないのですが、深夜まで外のオートバイの音がけたたましく寝られませんでした。暴走族のようにかなりの音でオートバイが走っていました。二重窓にするとか、オートバイの走行を制限するとかしてほしいです。ホテルのサービスは素晴らしいのでもったいないです。

はじめてのジャカルタ滞在で４泊しましたがとても良かったです。
ホテルの皆さんはとても親切、設備は新しくはないがメンテナンスがよく行き届いている感じ、シャワーなどの水量もよかったです。
立地は最高、ブロックMエリアは歩いていけるし近くにショッピングモールもありお酒を飲む人はその地下のスパーで購入できます。
次回ジャカルタに行くことがあったらまた利用したいです。
