Hotel breakfast was ok. Not much choices though. Could have been better if have more choices. Many of the cafes around the area opens quite late for breakfast, to have an early 7-8am breakfast, the Hotel breakfast is a better option.

Pros: great location, but that's the only thing it has going. The hotel is overall quite old, with dated fixtures. The room had a stale lingering smell - like wet laundry, and the air-conditioning seems to be faulty because the air quality remained humid and musty throughout the 5-night trip. It did not change when we tried to turn up or down the temp, or toggle ac modes. Bedsheets had small stains on them which felt unsanitary. The sink in the kitchenette was clogged. Rubber mat in the bathtub/ shower was slippery and unable to adhere to the base, which made getting in and out a safety hazard. Wouldn't stay again.

Excellent location. However, the water heater in master bedroom shower wasn't working properly. We have to turn hot tap to a maximum and min turn for the cold tap to get the right temperature and water did not have a strong flow. Tried using the microwave but smoke started coming out. We quickly turn it off. Overall the room is huge and clean. We will definitely return.

The name Ascott has been erased from my hotel list FOREVER!!! Never imagined a such old-smelly room and couch. Towers were colored out, means white turned into gray years ago. (How long have they been using the towers??) Couch and cushion were smelly!! Overall, besides the location, the hotel is not worth to stay at any cost. Stay way unless you want to check it out as a fool.

Honestly one of the nicest hotels I've stayed. For the price paid, it was very grand, rooms was very well equipped, bathtub, oven, washing machine, everything you need. Staff were very helpful and kind, and it was walking distance to both Grand Indonesia and Thamrin City, perfect for shopping in Jakarta. Only negative I have to say was the ventilation in the bathroom didn't seem to function properly but aside from that it was a very pleasant stay. Would definitely come back

While the bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly and attentive, the room and the furniture were old. It was hard to work in the room because the table and chairs were uncomfortable. The shower facilities in the bathtub required me to put a foot on the edge of the tub to be in position to get a proper shower. The water provided (via a cooler) tasted funny.

We stayed in the two-bedroom, two-bath suite, with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and living/dining area. It was beautiful and gave us plenty of room. Bedrooms are on opposite sides of the suite, providing privacy. Built-in (and lighted) closets with hangers, shelves, and drawers were an added bonus. Staff was wonderful! And across the street is a beautiful 8-story mall with amazing stores, restaurants, and two grocery stores.

We stayed for 6 days and for 3 bedroom apartment we only got 4 towels. No hand towels or floor mat. On third day suddenly we got 2 smaller towels and mats. On few days they took the towels away when cleaning room but didn't replace. Took hrs to finally get replacement after calling desk.

My mum lost a make up pouch and so we looked under the bed and was shocked of how crazy dirty it was.
Last 2 nights we were bitten by mosquitos.
